- This story was fast paced and SO good! If you enjoy instalove and an mmc that loves the fmc with all his heart, you’ll fall in love with this book. I never get tired of reading this authors writing!
- The plot was so unique and I had no idea the third pov would be included which mad this story 10x better! It was also so beautiful to see how the family came together for the fmc.
- Can’t wait to read the second book in this series! When I’m looking for a fast paced romance under 300 pgs, I’m going to pick up the second book asap!

Ciara is new to the city of Austin and she doesn’t know a lot of people. But, that’s fine with her because she’s not lookin’ to make new friends. Ciara just wants to blend in with the natives, not call too much attention to herself, and write her true crime novel in peace. The goal is to be a wallflower to make sure her loved ones back home stay safe. But, that pesky Cole family just won’t let her be great. Sasha, Linc, Nina, and Lil Miss Navaeh were determined to bring Ciara into the fold whether she want to be there or not. While fightin’ for her life to stay isolated, Ciara is also fighting her growing feelings for the sexy fire fighter who said eff her boundaries. Linc wasn’t lookin’ for love but, it found him anyway and he ain’t mad at it. He just has to convince Ciara it’s okay to let ger guard down and take a chance on him.

Where We Found Our Home was a fantastic read. It had the perfect balance of romance and suspense that will draw you in and hold your attention from beginning to end. I loved how Eddie's POV was sprinkled throughout the book. His psychotic azz will intrigue you and creep you out at the same time. Full disclosure I actually tried to read this book a few years ago but, I stopped because I was bored with it. The audiobook definitely hit different because J. Shani Michaels, Winston James, and Wyeth Watts did the damn thang. They truly brought these characters to life and made you feel like you were right in the middle of the action. If you have not read Where We Found Our Home, I highly recommend you add it to your TBR. I’m holding out for book two to be released on Audible. I already know Nina and Isaiah are comin’ with the drama and I’m ready for it.

A home was found indeed!! 🥰🥰

Ciara and Lincoln were the absolute cutest and I loved EVERYTHING about their journey! Even while battling their own demons, these two somehow found a safe place to land within each other!

Ciara is new to Austin and while attempting to isolate herself to keep those she loves most safe, the Cole family bulldozed their way into her life and it was nothing she could do to stop it! Lincoln pulled up on Ciara and the charm and BDE that he exuded couldn’t be denied! I mean even I wanted a piece of Linc 😌! And Linc wasn’t even looking for love after what happened during his previous relationship but home boy was completely smitten with his “Angel”. I guess we have matchmaker Naveah to thank for this love connection, who I LOVED by the way! She really brought life into this story and was so adorable!

This story kept me on the edge of my seat and I found myself holding my breath waiting for the shoe to drop! The way Natasha strategically stuck Eddie’s POV throughout the story was genius and he creeped me out for sure! You will not be disappointed with this book! Thanks for the recommendation book bestie 🥰🥰 I can’t wait to see if Isaiah and Nina can top this!

Ciara Ɛ Lincoln ❤❤❤

I have no words. I am at a loss for words. This was so good. It's that simple. It was so mfkng good. I was so sad the book ended. I didn't want it to end. I can honestly say I went into this book with lots of spektism, but I was wrong. I was hooked the moment I started this book and I couldn't put it down. Lincoln stole my heart. I love that man down. I know he's fictitious, but I love him. He's my dream guy. Same goes for Ciara. Love her to pieces.
We've all seen the movie that is this book, but this book was so well executed. The author MURDERED this story. I felt everything she was trying to convey to her readers. Every tears, every laughter, every sigh and deep breaths, every I love you's. I literally cannot wait for Nina's story. The author gave us the first chapter of Nina's story and I just know it's going to be just as good as Ciara's. This story was probably one of the best, if not the best one I've read this year. It left me on a high and I don't wanna get down. I don't want to give any details or spoilers in this review, so please, everyone, do yourself a favor and read this book. READ THIS BOOK. You will not be sorry.

I couldn't put this book down once I started reading it because I had to know why Ciara was running. Leaving all Ciara knew behind was difficult, but she thought it was necessary to protect everyone from this insane man who was obsessed. She later discovered that THE firefighter, Lincoln, was dealing with his own burdens and guilt, he had no intention of thinking about love. Yet all of those ideas were forgotten the moment he saw Ciara! I adored their lighthearted conversation, their jokes, and the way they could each bring the other back to life. Eddie, though, is a complete dumbass and crazy asf. I still don't comprehend his fixation with Ciara. I’m ready for Nina’s story now.

4 1/2 "I chose you." Stars!

Man! I am so excited right now. This was a really great book from a debut author.

Ciera moved from Baltimore to Austin get away from the deamons that were hunting her. To start over and make a new life. She practically runs- not by choice, right into Lincoln Cole- who has some deamons of his own. She is quickly adopted by Lincoln's whole very loving and tight knit family. But there's a reason Ciara left her own family behind.

This story took me by surprise in the best way. I'm notorious for not reading blurbs and Synopsis but even had I read this one I would have still been surprised by these unexpected events. I liked it a lot.

Ciara has a heart as big as Texas and it has been bruised beyond what anyone should have to endure. But oh was she brave. She may get a little bit frustrating but I could 100% understand her thinking. Lincoln was fantastic. I adored him from his first appearance and he kept getting better. Not to mention he is quite the sexy fireman. 🔥

There was a whole host of side characters just waiting to find their HEA. I am here for them all. Happy reading!

I spent 95% of this book squealing and the other 5% messaging Natasha my reactions!

Where can I start talking about this beautiful book? Ciara and Lincoln were P E R F E C T I ON! They made me laugh, swoon, squeal, cry and biting my nails the entire time with so much intrigue! This wasore than a romance, it was a true love story between two people who understood sacrificial love perfectly, because that’s the only way they knew how to love others.

Ciara isn’t your typical damsel in distress, she’s a QUEEN! A badass bitch who kicks ass! But sabing yourself is EXHAUSTING! Her situation was terrifying, but she was so strong, courageous and beautiful inside and out that wanted to overcome her struggle by herself! She needed a hero who wouldn’t see her as a weak girl but would cheer her and would work along with her to keep her safe.

That’s my Lincoln.

I can’t even start saying how perfect he was. That man was a true hero, a protector at heart. That man knew what sacrifice was and had so much love to give that I couldn’t help but falling in love with him. He wanted to protect Ciara even before he knew she was in danger. He also had some heavy baggage but the way he overcame it and allowed Ciara to carry it when it became too much was so sweet, it gave him the hope he thoughthe lost on love and it did so many things to my heart!

I had to drink three full iced water bottles during this read because things got HAWT! These two had the most amazing chemistry and connection. I lo ed how funny they were while they were flirting and the many moments when they let their guards down and got to know each other in a deeper level.

Loved the secondary characters, especially Lincoln’s family and how welcoming they were with Ciara when she needed it the most. I enjoyed the element of suspense, especially because it added so much to Ciara and Lincoln’s character growth. It really was well balanced plot between suspense, humor and romance!

I just loved them so much, they were so in love and I felt it in my bones!

Thank you so much to my friend, Natasha Bishop for the early copy of this book! I am IN LOVE!

If you like romantic suspense and a sexy firefighter hero with some found family vibes thrown in the mix, then Where We Found Our Home will work for you!!

Ciara just moved to Austin, clearly on the run from a deranged person in her past. The details of that person and her fears are slowly revealed throughout the story. Ciara is closed off the idea of letting people get close to her, but the moment she meets Lincoln and his family, she realizes that’ll be harder said than done.

Lincoln has his own share of heartbreak, so he understands Ciara’s hesitancies, but it does not stop him from being there for her as a friend until she’s ready for more. And when they cross that line, they don’t come back from it!

Ciara and Lincoln were perfect for each other, and I loved how Lincoln’s huge group of family and friends brought her into the fold. Ciara had way more support than she thought she did, and it was relieving to see her rely on people instead of giving into the fears of her past.

I will say, at first I wondered why we got a certain third POV throughout the story, but honestly, it helped add to the romantic suspense element, as well as truly helped you understand the depths of where Ciara’s fears came from, and why her sense of paranoia was always rooted in reality.

Moving on to Isaiah and Nina’s book!

TROPES: black romance/BIPOC/OWN voices; hero/heroine with emotional trauma; romantic suspense (heroine on the run from a stalker); firefighter hero; author heroine; found family

TRIGGER WARNINGS: mentions of childhood abuse (not H/h); stalking; graphic violence/threats

This story is so much more than a thrilling and passionate firefighter hero contemporary romance standalone!!

It is a soul-searching journey for not just Ciara, but for Lincoln as well. Both are trying to heal their battered hearts and to trust not only in one another - but in themselves.

The family dynamic interwoven in this story is beyond special. The prose from this debut author may cause you pause in true AH - I was giddy while reading with how this book gave me all the feels.

I truly felt like I had a front row seat to this incredible love story and part of this spectacular family. Just SOOO good!

I highly encourage you to give Natasha a try - you won't be disappointed.

SLEEPING ON NATASHA BISHOP IS A CRIMEEEEEEE! I’ll admit, I was guilty for a while, but I’m out on bail, baby!!! This book was perfect! Romantic suspense with just the right amount of spice—yum! Honestly, this is what Fragile Sanctuary by Catherine Cowls was trying to be... there, I said it. Natasha Bishop nailed it, and I’m so glad I finally gave her a chance!

Sweet and Sad

This was a suspenseful yet sweet romance. While I don't read many stories like this I enjoyed it.

Ciara has the biggest heart, a natural giver, that has a sweet yet spicy personality. Unfortunately, over the past few years after a near death experience, a psychopath has entered her life and stripped her of the ability to be herself. She feels like in order to keep the people she loves safe, she has to isolate herself from them. She decides to start all over in a new state.
In this new state she meets Sasha and Nevaeh, the sweetest mother and daughter duo that happen to be the family of Lincoln. Although, she knows she shouldn't she builds a friendship with them and eventually they feel like family. Lincoln, I mean he is a firefighter AND he is tall, dark, and handsome with a heart of gold....enough said. Lincoln had been battling his own issues, but Ciara feels like his .... future. Although Ciara is hesitant, Lincoln slowly wears her down. he inserts her not only into his heart but his families as well.
When I tell you there were more than a few times I was on edge, because life would be good and then the psychopath would show up with his shenanigans. I could not. Ciara was brave and Lincoln was just everything with the way he tried to protect her. Through it all he stands by her and through all the trials and tribulations they find their way together.
That epilogue whew chile, sweet and sad which seems to be the theme of this book. I look forward to reading about Nina and Isaiah.

Soul-Mates!

Ms. Natasha, I am on the bandwagon. I am officially a fan. I realize this is the first installment in a series that I'm fully invested in. Whew, Lincoln and Ciara, and their journey to happiness and healing was a bumpy ride. Ciara's past and present shook up everyone's lives not just hers. This book proved that people are psycho. Eddie was angry when he was the culprit in the accident. He shouldn't have tried to blame his downfall on another person when it was all him. My heart dropped when Neveah went missing. I was concerned about what he would do to her. Ciara taking that bullet for Sasha was honorable. I was glad that Ciara got to slay her 👿 so that she could get full closure.

This is a magnificent book that will have you on the edge of your seat with the suspense. You will fall in love with Neveah, she is a feisty five-year-old. She loves Ciara, that's her favorite "custard." Lincoln and Ciara made it through the storm, it was more like a hurricane five. They were for sure soulmates and deeply in love with one another. I am anticipating the next installment. I want to know what's up with Nina and Isaiah. I always want to know if any of Ciara's friends get with Lincoln's friends.

OMG, this story had me on edge from the beginning…..
I wanted to know why Ciara was running, then I wanted to know what the psychopath, Eddie had really done to her.
Then I wanted Ciara to let Lincoln into her circle from the first moment they interacted. Their banter and Lincoln’s niece, Nevaeh provided the fun and light to a suspenseful, and almost tragic love story.

I couldn’t wait for Eddie to be taken down and withou spoilers, I’m thrilled it happened the way it did.

Now I want to know what Lincoln and his guys have as the secret to how they became friends….. it has the promise of being really funny or really corny…..

Definitely a good story, I loved Lincoln for his strength and Ciara for overcoming her fears and finding her inner bad b$tch in the end.

Can I just say...PERFECTION! This book gave you all the feels and I for one did not put it down until I was done, and I didn't want it to end. Natasha definitely came with her A game on this one and Ciara and Lincoln were definitely what you wanted. Running from Baltimore to Austin, Ciara thought she would fly under the radar...nah Sis. She meets Sasha and Nevaeh at Sasha's coffee shop, which leads her to Lincoln (the firefighter) - Sasha's brother and a whole entire new family and support system. Sasha and Lincoln heat up the pages as her past comes calling, but her family- both of them want her to stop running and LIVE. This book worked and worked well. It was romance, suspense, thriller, comedy - between the group chats and phone calls I was cackling at 3am. Natasha, please tell me book 2 is coming soon because SHE(me) READY!💋💋

I admire Lincoln and his vulnerability, but I don’t understand that Ciara allows these healthy relationships to form without being upfront with people. Whether she's scared or not, it’s not okay to wait until Eddie shows up and things get physical before telling Lincoln the truth. That’s just messed up. She should’ve been honest with her family, especially her mom, and gotten a license to carry after Eddie had her all twisted up with his stalker behavior. Something about her running away didn’t sit right with me either. I do enjoy Lincoln’s family though—they have this great dynamic with lots of warmth and laughter. As for Lincoln, his guilt over his fiancé's death and not facing her family for three years felt off to me, too. The whole situation just didn’t feel believable, especially with everyone telling half-truths.

Overall, the book did nothing for me as a reader but knowing myself, I will finish the series.

Lincoln and Ciara were such a good couple. I fell for these two. I loved how Lincoln forced her walls down with friendship, humor, and kindness. Ciara's stalker, Eddie, was nutso. It still doesn't make since to me why he fixated on her. I wish we could've gotten a better explanation. loved all the secondary characters too. can't wait to read Nina and Isaiah story next.

This is the story of Ciara as she moves to a new city to have a fresh start and escape the atrocities that took place in Baltimore. She plans to keep to herself but can't help but be drawn to the people she meets in Austin, including Lincoln.
I was hooked from the first page and thoroughly enjoyed this book! It is well written and created a wonderful world of characters that I can't wait for Natasha Bishop to expand on in other books. I highly recommend it and can't wait to read more from this author!

Life changing. That’s a perfect word for what we just did, because there’s no way we can ever come back from this.

Perfectly enough, “life changing” is also the perfect way to describe Natasha Bishop’s debut novel Where We Found Our Home.

Listen. I knew that I was going to enjoy Where We Found Our Home based solely on how *fine* the man on the cover is. But what I *didn’t* expect was to be completely swept off my feet on a whirlwind that was equal parts sweet, sassy, steamy, and completely suspenseful (*did* I sleep with my light on?? Twice??? The world may never know…)

Ciara is in the fight and flight of her life with no intentions of opening up. Thank GOD Lincoln enters her life and helps her to realize that she is an angel worth saving—while she helps him to see his worth and pull him out of his own darkness. I LOVE how, despite their trials, Natasha paints both characters’ strengths and weaknesses so poetically. They balance each other beautifully, and remind one another that it’s okay to lean on your family.

By the way, I’ve found another book family that I’d like to be adopted into. Buckle up, folks. I’m in for the long haul!

I honestly cannot believe that this is Natasha’s first novel. She is a fierce powerhouse, and I CANNOT WAIT to continue journeying along with this book family, and whatever stories she has next!

WHERE WE FOUND OUR HOME is available on August 18th! Be sure to grab your copy ASAP!

⭐️⭐️⭐️.5- Where we found our home

We see Ciara move to Austin from Baltimore, running from a man who has made it his mission to ruin her life over an accident he caused. She meets Lincoln through his sister Sasha and her daughter Neveah and they build a friendship while she’s struggling with the reality of her stalker following her to Austin. She’s finally able to confront him and stop running and accept the abundance of love shes always had around her.

I really enjoyed this book but i hated the POV of her stalker(Eddie). It was such a stark difference from Ciara and Lincoln’s POV that it kept throwing me off. His POV definitely gave the book a thriller vibe. I can definitely relate to Ciara’s need to not burden the people that love her with her own struggles but i loved that they continued to confirm that they loved her enough to show up for her and they continued to do so.

I definitely want to read the other 2 books in this series. They’re definitely gonna be my palate cleansers between longer books.

Firstly, I loved this book so much! Natasha Bishop bravo you created a banger. I obviously have a huge crush on Lincoln and now will expect all men to speak to me the way he speaks to Ciara.
🤷🏽‍♀️(I don’t know what to say it was hot as hell and I will be requesting that from now on.)

This book was a lot deeper than I thought it was going to be when I added it to my TBR. I ended up crying a few times but I also laughed a bunch. I especially loved all of the roasting in the text threads. Read it ! You won’t regret it 💛

3.5 stars. My second book by this author, and while it wasn't as good as Only For The Week (seriously loved that one), I've really enjoyed both of them. She writes about families and about a growing love between two characters so well. Some of the story was little ott (the stalker who takes his time until suspense is needed), but overall this was a good read.

Winston and J. Shani did their thing on the audiobook. This book is cute and surprisingly funny. The author even added a little thriller element. One thing Natasha Bishop can write is a good man Savannah, Lincoln definitely was that. Where We Found Our Home is an enjoyable read.

I am not okay. Utterly fucking wrecked! This book! This story. The characters, the love and the mother-effing suspense! I was literally hanging on the edge of my seat, swooning, panicking and breaking a damn sweat.

Ciara Jeffries is a badass bitch who literally kicks all the ass! Her strength and selflessness earned my respect from the very beginning. She wasn't hiding and waiting for her knight in shining armor to save her from the nightmare her life had become. When the lives of her loved ones are at risk she does the only thing she can to keep them safe, and leaves. Putting as much distance between her and Maryland as possible in San Antonio Texas where she planned on living under the radar and embracing the life of a recluse where her tormentor could never reach her or her loved one ever again. Life has other plans for her, though, the sort of plans that land her ass right in the arms of sex on a stick, local fire fighter, Lincoln Cole. He offers all the things she has been denying herself of, love, family and safety. Things she hasn't felt in so long.
Lincoln willingly puts himself in the line of fire everyday. Helping people is so much more than a job to him, it's in his nature. Fate brings him to Ciara's side and no matter what he tells himself he can't help but want her, need her, and fall so deep in love with her.
I am in awe of Natasha Bishop's story telling skills. The way she captivated me from the beginning, turned up all the heat with the fire Ciara and Linc ignited, to the very intense tear filled ending. God, I was a mess and enjoyed every moment of it. I thought I knew what I was getting into with this story but let me tell you I was not ready! It was so much more than I expected. I cannot wait for more in this series and everything this woman writes!
