Sold to the Raksha #2

Alien Skin Market

Rate this book
Who’s going to save my skin?

My FBI training never prepared me for this.

First I was abducted. Then I was locked in a cage. Now I’m standing on a stage, exposed and sweating, while a crowd of terrifying aliens bid for my ownership.

And the ones who end up claiming me may be the scariest of all. These guys are like nothing I’ve seen before. Purple skin, retractable claws, and a serious aversion to shirts. Their bodies bulge with muscles, and their growls penetrate deep into my bones.

Yesterday I was an Earth girl with a badge and a gun. Now I’m just a little human plaything for the aliens to share.

I belong to them now. I belong to the Raksha...

She was supposed to be a mission, nothing more.

Our orders were simple. Scour the stars. Find a human. Bring it safely back to Rak.

We had nearly given up hope. Then we found her.

We Raksha are a jealous species. But when it comes to the human female, we must learn how to share. Her safety is too critical to be entrusted to a single warrior. Her needs run too deep for a single male to satisfy. And her stubbornness requires more discipline than a single hand can provide.

She was supposed to be a mission, but soon she will be so much more.

Soon she will be our mate...

I like to classify this series as "top shelf cheesy alien smut." They are surprisingly well written, with plenty of action, decent characters, and copious amounts of steamy steam.
Maureen might have been naked, but she wasn’t totally defenseless. She still had her feet and her fists, and she had been coached in hand-to-hand combat as part of her FBI training.
Could there be a more perfect beginning to a story? LOL!

Maureen is abducted by one species of alien who sell her to a flesh market. Unbeknownst to her, she is to be skinned alive for her "pelt" once purchased. She is saved by a group of sexy purple alien men and soon becomes stranded on a planet filled with giant meat-eating plants. Who could have predicted??!

Daggoth, the legendary warrior now turned criminal, had the most character growth of all of her males. But Rawn, the ever-changing entity that was utterly devoted to Maureen, was my hands-down favorite.

This story has knotting, purring, and sharing.
“Come here,” Vaul said softly, and pulled her face down to his. “I will help you relax while the doctor mounts you.”
These books are LONG, this one was almost 600 pages. So go in prepared to spend hours if not days with these characters. Could be read as standalone, but I recommend reading them in order.

Even Better Than The First!!

Wow...this was Epic!

I have always been a fan of Lizzy's. I love her crazy stories and crazy aliens. And that's crazy with a capital C. Her sense of humor comes through in her writing, and as if we're on the same wavelength I always pick up on her "tongue in cheek" moments and her "absurd for the sake of entertainment" moments. Lizzy just cracks me up. I love her writing! That being said this was one of her best!!

This story is about an FBI agent, Maureen, who gets abducted while investigating the disappearance of Bethany, the woman abducted in Alien Meat Market, the first book of the series. It follows what happens after she is set to be sold in a 'skin market' where aliens buy live animals for their skin, to wear over their cybernetic parts. Maureen is smart, stubborn, loyal and honorable, but most of all she is a scrappy survivor. As she fights her way through this new universe she starts collecting a harem of ragtag characters.

I don't want to give anything away here about how the story unfolds, but I loved the 'guys'. How even though each of their motivation and purposes were the same, to keep M'reen safe, they were so different in their personalities and what they brought to the table. The guys were sweet, protective as all get out, and sexy as hell. Most of the book for one reason or another, everyone was pretty much naked. So you can imagine the steamy smut level was off the charts. Also in true Lizzy fashion of pushing the boundaries, there was even a shocking moment where I literally thought, "no she is not....no....yep she went there!!" You will have to read it to see what I mean. (With an evil twinkle in my eye, I cackle)

And least not I forget, we actually get a real competitive Raksha mating dance off!! Unless you've read the first one, you will again have to read it to see what I mean. (Fans myself in remembrance)

In Lizzy's newsletters she kept saying this was the longest story she's ever written, but she couldn't see it going any other way. Many authors would have chopped this into a series within a series, dragging it out with cliffys. Instead Lizzy gave us an EPIC tale. On top of all the smutty goodness you know you'll find in Lizzy's stories, this one has abduction, nefarious warlords, kidnapping attempts, a strange protective alien pet, sabotaged ships, deadly bacteria, a notorious assassin, and getting stranded on an uninhabited planet with millions of acid spitting, mobile carnivorous plants...just to give you an idea. And I loved every freakin' moment. (On a side note, for the plants, in my head I pictured Audrey from Little Shop of Horrors with feet lol)

This was so good! Lizzy's writing is just amazing. Her world building is some of the best I've ever read. I sit back after reading her books sometimes and just marvel at her creativity and insane imagination. This was definitely one of those books. There were things in this story I have never seen anywhere else. There is such depth in her details and characters, without overloading the narrative and being too wordy. Instead it was action packed, yet with plenty of moments for real connections to be had between Maureen and her men. I hate being too vague on the story and the guys, but I don't want to give anything away. I really hope you go into it cold, and enjoy the 'evolution' the way I did.

Even though this is an ARC review, I will always shoot you straight. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Maureen is an FBI agent looking into the disappearance of Bethany, our homegirl from Alien Meat Market. Surprise surprise she gets beamed up by little green men … er … shadow men.

This time instead of winding up sold to eat, Maureen is sold for her skin. As in they want to skin her alive and wear her like Ed Gein’s been reincarnated.

Enter Daggoth who works for a female cyborg crime lord who’s looking for the most exotic skin and no one has ever seen a human before. Except Tristn who’s aware of Bethany, he even read her book. He’s on a mission to save any human’s he finds and it’s Maureen’s lucky day.

Then we proceed to go on the wildest rollercoaster as Tristn & his crew try to take Maureen back to their home planet. They’ll be messed with by everything from monster plants to Daggoth trying to kidnap her for himself.

So, this is a long one, 735 pages long. Honestly I’m not much of a Sci Fy girl, I mostly came for weird alien smut. For me personally, there was too much world description, planning, traveling, fighting. I was just hungry for all the orgies. Yeah I got that but in between way too much world building. But if that’s your thing, this is the perfect book for you.

Okay so this book was oddly fascinating. 90 chapters plus an Epilogue. And not one moment of this story was boring.

It is the most weirdly erotic read that I think I ever read to date. Reverse harem reads are pretty predictable in and of themselves, but this one had new elements and levels that were mixed with rich emotion, intense and suspenseful action sequences, all wrapped in a lovely velvet mysterious bow. The journey this one took me on was crazy! And I was there for and loved every moment of it... This was definitely way better than book 1. Though book 1 was still a decent read. I gave that one 4 stars. I do think it's imperative you read book 1 before reading this one though.

I connect more with the males involved here, than I did with book 1. As well as the heroine of this story... Just get ready to dive into the rabbit hole with this two book series. Especially in book 2.

What can I say? I was definitely surprised and eager to know how Maureen's journey, and that of her Mates' ended. Very intriguing indeed.

This is the second book in the Sold to the Raksha and I'd argue it's better than the first. When I first opened this book, the page number was admittedly very daunting. But this 600+ book read like a 300 page book...it went by so fast. The world building was fascinating, the steam (sweet baby jesus) was alien smut gold, and the action was constant with twists and turns I didn't see coming.

I don't want to go into the plot too much because if you're into alien and Sci-fi romances, then you should go into this blind. Maureen and her purple aliens were the perfect mixture of sweet and spicy. Looking forward to what's next in this world.

Did I read the entirety of Sold to the Raksha #1 and #2 in the span of about 10 hours? Yes, I did. Do I regret it? Yes, I do, because it means I can't read them for the first time all over again.

I wanted more of Book 1, and I got so much more of it in Book 2. There was one point where I was like WOAH DO I LIKE THIS and the answer was yes, I do like this, and it went great. I can totally see this setting up for a Book 3 as well, and I will be preordering that for sure.

Highly recommend this series if you like Sci-Fi Reverse Harem and you want to piss off Chad.

I'm now going to go read the Omega Series.

Wow! Delicious Reverse Harem... Well Worth the Wait

This is the first alien reverse harem romance where everything is over the top and I loved every minute! The level of sizzle radiates. Lizzy Bequin fully explores this genre in this amazing, sensual mega-story. Is it long? Yes, but it is well worth the journey.

The world-building is fantastic and very well-done. All the mates and secondary characters are well-written with pertinent details that help to get into the story. I felt this page-turner is a stay-up-all-night book that totally satisfies. The best part of this book are the engaging characters, including the main female character - Maureen.I am fascinated by the different species throughout the book, and I hope this is just one of a series. I am hooked on the world created by Lizzy Bequin and want to go back and read the previous novel, that contains Bethany's story. I can't wait to see how the next human woman ends up with her own reverse harem of hot aliens hunks!

What I loved was the philosophical bent that arises at different parts of the story. The story is never what it appears to be at first, and that is why I kept reading.

I plan to get a keeper version of this book when it goes live.

If you have read some of reviews about Ms. Lizzy B in the past, you would know I'm gaga for the crazy this girl can throw down on a page. From alpha/omega to steamyalien romance to kinky Kaiju love, I think it's all great and unique.

This story brings us back to the world of the Raksha. Though it's part of a series, it can be read as a standalone. You get to meet new and interesting purple aliens (they have tails and know how to use them ). This time when they set out to save any humans from being sold, they didn't expect to save FBI agent Maureen from sold to be skinned alive at the skin market or being chased across the universe by an assassin. When her medicine is destroyed in a crash, the only to save her live is by directly giving her doses of the love juice. Even now I'm smiling because it is so fun and dirty just thinking for the scenes that Lizzy came up with for giving Maureen her 'medicine'.

Expect Lizzy's signature steamy, kinky craziness that can only be found when she creates a new alien race that meets a human for the first time. That is embarrassingly, good times right there. This time it's a dance off like no other .

Actually been Epic is understated, honestly this book has well succeeded all of the other books i have read by Lizzy. Honestly this one will leave you just thinking holey sheeshbat,. There are twist and turns in this book with a bit of suspence and truely wonderment. Its a long story but totally and i mean totally worth reading.
I just enjoyed how Lizzy brought all these five males together, Tristn, Rawn, Vaul,Jryk and lastly Daggoth. Two pirates , one a wanted man, another a doctor, plus another who bonded with Maureen and became who he was now.
Maureen, a FBI agent looking into the disappearance od Bethany, a reporter. But she found alot more than she thought. She was taken along with the cows. She befriends a furry little animal and t hey are both put in a cage along with other aliens. She is quickly won by the doctor at the auction but she wont leave her friend behind. What happens after this, well readers you really have to read this book to find out. You wont be dissapointed i can tell you.

A really well deserved 5 plus stars

I like the alien world the author create. İts like watching sci-fi film.

İ like the dynamics of the guys relationship. From enemy to sharing buddies.
Captain Jryak, the easy and layback looking.
Vaul, his second in command. The gentle giant.
Tristn the group doctor.
Rawn the non Raksha and strange hard to tell what kind but danglt he ls hot.
And finally Daggoth the mercenary with survivor guilt on hls shoulders.

These men make a fine reverse hareem for Mauren.

But i dont get with the pov. With every chapt, there's ine charachter name on lt that i assume would mean that chapt is from that charachter pov. But nope.

For example, __Behind the wheel, Special Agent Maureen McTaggart sighed and slouched deeper into the worn upholstery of the driver’s seat. She was dressed casually tonight—

Overall, easy light read for me.
As usual with reverse hareem, the mechanism of sharing always boogle me. But the steamy scenes are quite hot.

This is such an addictive read! From the beginning, I was hooked. Maureen was a cool character, A female more interested in her career than investing in a personal life. Then the story morphs into an accidental abduction then again into a terrible predicament for her where her wits come through for her, but the action ratchets up with every chapter. She meets the guys and each one is different but still completely compelling. More action, there's some hot sex, more action, creepy bad aliens, more action, more hotter sex, Rahr is different...more sex, more action, then the plants thing happens and whew...I couldn't stop reading it! This is why I love books written by Lizzy Bequin, they're like a crazy rollercoaster ride in the dark, you wanna keep your eyes open when it goes upside down, you want to scream at the person who talked you into this dang ride, you might hold the safety bar too tight, but by the end of the ride, you just want to climb back in and go again!

The writing and editing of the ARC version of the manuscript was pretty clean, with only occasional typos that will hopefully be fixed in the retail version. The world building was okay, with the jungle planet and it’s fauna being fairly well described, but the culture of the Raksha not really coming to life. The characterization was good, with the heroine being a sympathetic individual with nuance and the heroes being pretty distinct for a single title reverse harem romance. I also got the impression that this novel was longer than the previous title in the series, which I liked. The development of the romantic relationship was HOT, with a heat level of five chili peppers. The plot was exciting and action packed. As a consequence, the pacing flew by. There was low angst and high stakes throughout this novel, which tends to be one of my preferred narrative structures for a romance novel. This novel used the Alien Abduction trope and the Romantic Hero is also the Villain trope. The world building was three stars. The plot and pacing were both four stars. The characterization and development of the romantic relationship were also four stars. I therefore rounded up and gave this novel a combined rating of four stars. The ending was a Happy Ever After ending instead of a cliffhanger ending, so that was a big plus. I recommend this novel to readers who enjoy high heat and plenty of action and danger in their sci-fi romances. I look forward to reading the next book in this series when it releases. I will buy myself a keeper copy of this novel.

This book is epic - just epic. It's three times as long as what you normally see from this author (and three times longer than the first book) and you really understand why once you get into the story. It never drags, never lags, and you appreciate the time it takes to bring all the pieces of the story together.

In this standalone installment of the Raksha series, Maureen is an FBI agent that gets alien-abducted into a very, very far away universe with very dire consequences. Fortunately she gets rescued by a group of Raksha and it's a bumpy road before the happily ever after. But it is a very entertaining bumpy road, and a very steamy one at that. I love that while the attraction between Maureen and her new mates was physically quick, it took time for them to emotionally connect and find their places with each other. And Lizzy Bequin is one of the best reverse harem authors at defining different personalities and styles between the male characters so they are not simply males with different names - they have distinct personalities and it helps you appreciate why the heroine loves them.

Love it - the whole plot flowed well and kept me riveted. I laughed, I giggled... I, ahem, had to fan myself. Awesome book.

Big, Thick….Story, Plenty of …Action

I’ve been looking forward to this book for a while now, and boy, did it deliver. Maureen is brave, strong, smart and everything you could hope for in a heroine. Tristan, he’s all proper so dirty the first time with Maureen. Rawn was a fuzzy wuzzy shocker. Vaul was a big male of few, but extremely well articulated, words. Jaryk, naturally, was the scoundrel with a heart of gold. Dagooth is a complicated character (and that’s all I’ll say to avoid spoilers). There’s so much story in this book; there’s alien abduction, rescue, flesh-eating plants, betrayal, rescue again, happily ever after and a baby. Oh, and let’s not forget repeated administration of medication by extremely intimate means wink wink. Lizzy Bequin has woven a fantastic tale with complicated and well-developed characters and wild worlds. This series is just wonderful - I hope there’s more to come!

Such a great story of an FBI agent Maureen getting beamed up in a UFO with a bunch of cows from a field. Maureen ends up being sold in a skin market. She ends up getting bought by Tristn, as he's been sent from his home world to find any other Humans they can find. They have Bethany on there world who's mated to 5 Raksha males who saved her life. Now Tristn has bought Maureen and he and Vaul, Jryk, Rawn and Daggoth end up mating with Maureen. They end up having to her into a hybrid as she'd contracted the spirillium strulugans bacteria that would have killed her human form. Each of her mates has a different strength, fiercely protective, and their common goal is protection of Maureen. The book has plenty of action, suspense, hot romance, twist and turns, and plenty of steam. Loved the story and the characters. Loved the first book, loved the second book in this delightful alien harem romance story. The humor with very likable characters: Maureen the FBI agent who's investigating the disappearance of Bethany, the Raksha's - Daggoth a assassin who was on a shopping mission for his crime boss Mistress Nekrona who was bidding for Maureen at the Alien Skin market for his Mistress exotic skin collection, Tristn a doctor set by the government of Rak to look for humans that were abducted by the Penumbrians because they can save his race from extinction ended winning the auction, and Captain Jrayk of "The Longshot" and Vaul his first mate who were hired as guides for Tristn in the out-backs of space -, and the last Rawn, Maureen's furry pet who keeps growing larger were "all" engaging along with a storyline that kept me flipping the pages in this ARC that I volunteer to read and review via Booksprout.

Maureen is a FBI agent looking into the disappearance of Bethany when she is kidnapped with the cows in the paddock and is thrown into a cage with some creature and now finds herself being sold off at an alien auction, Maureen can look after herself but she is scared by the aliens that have purchased her and has no choice but to be there Sex slave. We the Raksha race are a jealous lot and we don’t like to share but when it comes to the earth female that they thought they wouldn’t ever find they will have to learn. Jyark, Vaul, Tristn, Rawn, Draggon are her new owners and she finds herself attracted to them but in different ways and they all want her each male brings a different fantasy and desire that Maureen has wanted to try but how can she want to be with them all and why do they call there mate. This book was fabulous and I enjoyed every page that I turned just as I know you will love it too.

I was sent a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Maureen is having a bad day. On FBI stakeout investigating the disappearance of reporter Bethany she herself is abducted and ends up in an auction. But this isn't an ordinary auction - it is an auction for exotic skins and she's on the block. Two aliens are bidding for her - one ensures death by being skinned alive - the other?????
The journey Maureen embarks on is one of the most exciting I've read in a long time. Lizzy Bequin is at her best with this book. Not only is it entertaining, but it's the longest book I've read in an E-book. But....the length isn't boring or a trial to read. It is engaging, entertaining and in some parts funny. There is non-stop action, adventure, conflict of feelings, alien matings and so much more.
Highly recommended.

Maureen is watching a field where two people disappeared and finds herself abducted by aliens.
FBI Special Agent Maureen McTaggart is watching a field where a reporter investigating cattle mutilations and the owner of the farm had disappeared. She is on the phone to a colleague when she hears something and getting out of her car she realizes there is a huge shape overhead then she sees a cow vanish. A light shines on her and she feels strange before everything goes black. She awakes in a dark place which when she finds her torch she sees is full of cattle and small ratlike creature around her feet one of which she befriends. When the alien appear she tries to fight her way out but after she is injected with a pink liquid she blacks out again.

Oh well, you can't win them all. I liked Alien Meat Market more. The Raksha were just more to my liking. But Lizzy is a mistress of this particular genre, and she has a way of telling these stories that require you to take a cold shower or need a warm friend when you read them.

Maureen is an FBI agent abducted while investigating the woman's disappearance who is the heroine of the first book. When she wakes up at an auction for aliens, she knows she's in trouble. She just doesn't realize she's one of the aliens.

The Raksha, at the behest of their government, have been looking for humans who may need aid when they find Maureen. Tristn, Vaul, and Jrayk hurry to get her off the surface of the space station and to safety while a threat follows.

I liked the previous book more. This one was fine. I loved Tristn and Vaul, but there was much more real estate to appreciate during the last novel.

I do recommend the series. I recommend all of Lizzy's books. I'm a super fan of this author.

I guess lightning does strike twice, cause while FBI agent Maureen McTaggart's investigating Bethany Smith's disappearance, she's abducted by aliens. What follows is a harrowing tale of action and adventure and being rescued by a trio of gorgeous purple aliens and "rawn" Then there's Daggoth who scares the living daylights out of her even though she feels drawn to him too. Daggoth knows he must have her no matter what, even if he has to sabotage the others. The action from one world to the other, as well as the interaction of the characters is mesmerizing. The sex is not only hot and steamy, but it also serves to move the story on to it's logical conclusion. The worldbuilding is awesome. I hope this isn't the end. Bravo! This is a must read!

Oh wow this Sci fi reverse harem book is packed full of adventure, suspense, intrigue and super nova hot steamy scenes that keeps you hooked in this long story…
I loved the blurb on this as we follow FBI agent Maureen McTaggart on a stakeout to a notorious area for mysterious cattle mutilations and disappearance of a female reporter Bethany Smith (Alien Meat Market) but Maureen finds herself taken by Aliens, befriends a little cargo rat named Rawn, and sold to an exotic skin market, bid on by two purple alpha Raksha males both of them she is strongly attracted too (although one is not so nice) as well as the ship captain and 1st mate and that is just the start…
I loved the humour, action, twists a super steamy scenes that made this an entertaining read that was hard to put down..

Like the first book, I really liked this one!
I thought it was a good decision not to anticipate anything from the end at the beginning of the book and to reveal something. That just keeps the tension.
All in all, I am very satisfied with the book and can really recommend it. Great writing style, wonderful characters (especially Rawn surprised me), and a captivating and exciting story!
And just as an aside, I am of the opinion that every woman needs her "personal rawn". I'm looking forward to more books in the series!

Fantastic world building, aliens that look like aliens, and crimes that don’t just get forgiven. This was such a fantastic story. I loved the characters and how they were developed, and interacted.
Maureen is a FBI agent who is following up on a disappearance of Bethany (character from first book in Raksha series), when she gets herself abducted. While on board the alien craft she meets a small mouse like creature that she names Rawn. She is sold to a skin market in a shady back alley deal, along with Rawn. She meets Daggoth, and Tristn while there. Jrayk is the captain of the ship that Tristn is traveling on, and Vaul is the first mate. They have a number of adventures together and bond over a number of things. There is plenty of steam and a great plot.

...another Truly Epic Wicked Sexy Space Adventure set in the Raksha World created by Lizzy Bequin.... Alien Skin Market: A Sci-fi Romance (Sold to the Raksha, Book 2) And when I mean Epic; of course I mean it is over 500 pages of awesomeness. And when I mean Wicked Sexy Space Adventure, that means Maureen has 5 mates: Rawn, Jrayk, Tristn, Vaul & Daggoth that fulfill her every sexual need & fantasy. All types of naughty alien sex, character development, no cliffhangers, twists & turns and a well-earned satisfying HEA. 😊🌺🌴 I received an ARC from Booksprout for my honest review.

I believe this was the longest work I have read by Ms. Bequin and it honestly did not seem that long. I flew through this book as it was so engaging and descriptive that it was almost like watching a movie. Maureen and the various rag-tag band of aliens are dynamicly created so that you really get a sense of them and their various motivations. So very good and highly recommended.

Maureen is an FBI agent who gets caught up in the middle of an alien abduction. This begins her adventure to new worlds that she didn't even imagine existed and introduces her to beings that definitely make her life more interesting. Rawn, Tristn, Vaul, Jrayk, and Daggoth are all mesmerized by the Earth woman, but do they all have her best interest at heart? Can they all work together to save Maureen? Read it to find out.I loved this story! You get adventure, romance, and enough heat to melt those panties!

Maureen is a FBI agent looking into the disappearance of Bethany. Maureen was abducted with the cows by an aliens space ship. While on the ship Maureen made a friend that she named Rawn. She consider they were probably alien vermin. Well she ended up feeding Rawn sunflower seeds. The next thing that she new she was being awaken by what she thought at the time an earthquake. It shocked Maureen the Rawn had grown in size and was willing to protect her. Maureen was up on stage exposed and sweaty while terrifying aliens looking bid for my ownership.
