The culmination of this remarkable journey arrives. Chiyuki’s dream of gracing the Paris runway hangs in the balance. Ikuto’s designs take center stage, and the fate of their intertwined ambitions unfolds. The manga masterfully balances hope, heartache, and the pursuit of excellence. As we bid farewell to these characters, we witness their transformation from mere dreamers to resilient achievers.
The author sticks the landing on this most unlikely series. A fashion designer and runway model combo are a most unlikely set of shonen manga protagonists. It is a story that made this reader realize that it needs this story in my life. It is a great story, and wonderfully illustrated.
A satisfying ending, though far from my favorite volume of the series. It circles back to the earlier themes and character dynamics of the start of the series, but my biggest pleasure in the series was the planning and thought that went into the clothes themselves and the mechanics of accomplishing it. In that regard, this volume didn't offer much, focusing more so on Chiaki's emotional health and motivation.
Chiyuki is the absolute protagonist in almost every volume. Talent is needed, but determination and the will to achieve one's goals must also play an important role. The author in the last chapter leaves us with a riddle about a 'wedding' ring 😁.
