I like that there were a lot of details about the characters solving both cold and current cases. I liked Ryland right away, but it took me a little bit to get used to Bree's personality, but eventually I liked both characters and the chemistry between them. The solution was very dramatic and a little over-the-top, but overall, I enjoyed this fast-paced read.

For what it was it was great! If you need a quick read Id recommend it. Is it the best book you will ever read? no. Are there spots that need work. Yes. the story though is amazing and the surprises do get you. So go ahead and read it.

I'm all caught up with this series now and I'm eagerly awaiting book five! I can't wait to see what Ms. Diaz has in store for us there!

High octane suspense! The second book in Lena Diaz's Tennessee Cold Case series quickly thrusts us into the heart of another case, this one revolving around the lead investigator for Unfinished Business. In SERIAL SLAYER COLD CASE danger is quickly lurking right in front of them as twists and turns by wily criminals bring a cold case to the forefront and tie the investigators up in knots. I loved Ryland and Bree together!
Ryland is a steady character who while we didn't get to know a detailed amount around his past, steps into his job heading up the cold case company full force ahead. I like him!
Bree is a real go-getter who is willing to put herself on the line over and over again if it helps her get to the bottom of who is hurting people.
I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series to anyone who likes a fast paced mystery revolving around a team of high end investigators who are trying to bring justice for all as one by one they stumble across their own happily ever after.

PI Ryland Beck doesn’t expect to be run off the road by a man on his way to work but he almost is.
At the same time he goes looking for the man and is unsuccessful. When he gets to UB also known as Unfinished Business a Detective Bree Clark is awaiting. She’s from The Monroe County Sheriffs Office in Madison. She’s at UB to talk about the The Smoky Mountain Slayer a cold case that has taken a different turn. All eyes turn to someone she knows. It’s not good.
Now Bree and Ryland are working together. Soon it becomes dangerous, and Ryland will do whatever it takes to protect Bree.
So much more to come.

Lead agent Ryland Beck, with Unfinished Business, is now taking over the Serial Killer cold case that no one has been able to solve, and is now active again, due to another murder.
This is, yet another fascinating Cold Case story that has unexpected, fascinating twists and turns, and multiple possible suspects.
