This by far is my favourite of this series. An absolutely inspired work with the right mix of mystery, drama and tenderness. I love the kindness and helpfulness that abounds these books. There's some intense quotable quotes too.
The story continues with Charlotte further establishing her bakery and her unique flavour of the month that she comes up with. We see an upward movement in Carlos and Marianne's relationship and I glad of it. All the other characters stay true to their characters.
I love this town and its numerous cutsie festivals its forever hosting. The sense of community is so strong and its evident in the collective destruction of Marianne's ex,Jeremy. Boy, that was way over the top.
Though each book is a standalone mystery, I would recommend reading the first 2 in this series to familaize oneself with the characters.

Marianne finds her ex-fiance Jeremy in her small town looking for an old buddy to help him in a situation he found himself in. Marianne pushes Carlos, Charlotte and The Live Forever Club away while she tries to deal with the emotions of Jeremy back in town.
Jeremy will only talk to Logan about his manager. Now he has to deal with his girlfriend and all his troubles.
Charlotte overhears Jeremy conversation and ends up doing what she feels is right and helps Jeremy with his situation.
Carlos and Marianne, Charlotte and Logan and The Live Forever Club relationship get closer then and they were before.

Overall I enjoy the cupcake cozy series, they’re light easy “cozy” reads, but this one got sent to publishing without a proof read.
In one chapter the “innocent” party confesses his affair to the police officer via voicemail, and 2 chapters later he makes the same confession to our main character while saying “don’t tell the officer”…sir you already did? And our heroine is shocked by his confession both times despite over hearing a phone call that laid out the confession before he confessed…twice.
It’s like the author had planned to go one way with the book, changed her mind but forgot to edit the whole book to make it fit.
There are other mistakes & contradictions in this book too (ex: Marianne is listed as being with Charlotte and Winnie when they all have food poisoning - except Karen stayed with Marianne to take care of her while the other two are taken care of by Agnes).
Anyone who gave this 5 stars, did you get the correctly edited version or did you just not notice the major plot holes?
I just love this series! I want to be an honorary member of the Live Forever Club and want to live with Winifred and Charlotte. With that being said this was by far I think the best book. Marianne’s ex-fiancé Jeremy rolls into town with a dead body in town looking for legal help. He stops at of all places Carlos’s new law office, who happens to be Marianne’s new boyfriend. The game of who done it begins, as we find out he came from out of state with body to see Charlotte’s boyfriend Logan. Logan is caught in the middle of this out of state case because Jeremy refuses to speak to anyone else. We quickly learn Jeremy has learned nothing about cheating on people as he has three women on the hook. As usual Charlotte gets in the middle of this one trying to get Jeremy away from Marianne, and out of town. Charlotte can’t stand this guy the more she learns about him. However, she shows up to return the engagement ring he asked Marianne for and she stumbles into him being attacked. Will Charlotte survive the attack. Will she be able to catch the killer?

Marianne, Charlotte's best friend, has an unpleasant run in with her ex-fiance while the girls are helping her long distance boyfriend, Carlos, move into his new office which happens to be much closer to Sweetwater Falls. Unfortunately, he brings with him a terrible situation and, to get him out of town quickly and out of Marianne's life for good, Charlotte jumps into the investigation. While I have loved every book in this series, this book is by far the best and my absolute favorite. In my next life, I for sure want to be a member of the Live Forever Club as well as live in a town like Sweetwater Falls. Everyone should be lucky enough to have besties like Charlotte and Marianne who always have each others' back. I highly recommend this series and, while you don't have to read them in order, I would suggest doing so. Happy Reading!

There is much activity going on in this story line as Marianne’s old boyfriend, Jeremy, drives into town looking for help. Inside the trunk of his car is the body of his manager. Charlotte and Marianne, best friends, are assisting Marianne’s boyfriend, Carlos, to move into his new law office located near Sweetwater Falls. Carlos’ new client is Jeremy who is the primary suspect in the murder of the man in his trunk. He had driven to Sweetwater Falls with the body because he will only talk about it with Logan, a cop and his friend. Jeremy is not good at telling the whole truth which makes things even more complicated. Charlotte jumps into the case to find the killer and get Jeremy to move on before he causes more grief for everyone!
This story has plenty of action, fun characters, and a mystery to keep the reader guessing. And don’t forget to try one of Charlotte’s cupcake creations while you’re in town!
Once again author Molly Maple delivers a truly delicious murder mystery story in the form of Caramel Corruption. I simply love the Live forever Club and the true love that each member has for one another. Aunt Winnie is one real rocking 90 year old that I would dearly love in my family. Another aspect that I love is the simplicity of life lived in a small township of knowing everyone but that simplicity is over-ruled with something even better in the form of respect and true acceptance, demonstrated by the wonderful idea of the Knit Your Heart Out Fair. A wonderfully written story filled with a great balance of mystery, a casual murder, a nice little bit of romance and of course some rotten characters that stir the pot for some amateur sleuthing and some incredible mouth watering moments from Charlotte's kitchen.

A wonderful cozy mystery filled with sweet and feisty moments. Sweetwater Falls is one of my favorite book small towns, I would live there if I could.
The books starts with Carlos, Marianne's boyfriend moving to a law office in a nearby town. As Charlotte and Marianne help him move in, a potential client asks for help. Jeremy Johnson, Marianne's ex fiance, needs help his manager has been killed and he looks like the prime suspect. He drove the body to Sweetwater Falls because the only cop he will talk to is his buddy Logan. Charlotte feels she has to solve the murder so Jeremy will leave town asap. Jeremy's penchant for cheating could get him killed unless Charlotte and Logan can catch the murderer first.

This is my first book in this series but I was able to jump right in with no problems. I loved the characters and the town- especially the Live Forever Club, who wouldn't want to be a part of them?
The plot was well done, the mystery was involved and I didn't guess whodunit until pretty much when Charlotte did. There were plenty of twists and confrontations to keep the mystery going. Good dialogue, some quite funny bits as well. My one issue was there was a lot of harping on the main suspect's having been a cheater, to the point it got repetitive a little.
A good time overall and Charlotte makes for a great amateur detective. Also there's a really good looking cupcake recipe at the end that seems simple enough and I want to try it. I'd definitely read more by the author and this book is a good choice for cozy fans.
Although this is not the first book in the series, you can definitely pick it up and start here without missing a beat. Full of action, fun characters, and a mystery that will keep you guessing. Laugh-out-loud moments are some of the best parts of this book that you'll find it hard to stop reading before you get to the end! The pace, the character development, the mystery were excellent, the plot was well-written and suspenseful. If this is your first in the series, you'll certainly want to go back and read the others...also, don't overlook this author's other books, as she's an amazing writer of multiple genres. Completely recommend!

I enjoyed this one too. I read these book in a day and laugh at the characters and crazy goings-on. Good mysteries that are not easy to figure out. Looking forward to the next one but I think I now have to wait for it!
Amazon synopsis:
When Marianne’s ex-fiancé shows up with a problem he can’t solve without her help, Charlotte McKay makes it her business to stick close to Marianne’s side.

I have been mostly enjoying this light hearted series, but I feel like they are getting worse. This book had a lot of contradictions that made it seem as though the author didn't care what was going on, and couldn't be bothered to keep her story straight. To top it off, the lack of communication skills in this one was horrible! How can you not talk to your best friend about something you overheard, but turn around and discuss it with others? And if your boyfriend is a cop, why would you not immediately tell him any information you gather about a case he is working on??? Add in the completely dumb ending where an intelligent adult rushes into a room knowing there is, at the very least, a violent perpetrator in there without looking around at all..... makes for a pretty rough book.
Charlotte’s best friend Marianne’s ex-fiance is in town. As the country singer is friends with Logan, Charlotte’s boyfriend, he wants Logan’s assistance with determining who killed the concert promoter since Logan is with the police.
The problem is that the singer is not telling Logan all of the truth which complicates the investigation. Charlotte is also concerned that Marianne might have feelings for her ex-fiance which means Marianne’s relationship with her new boyfriend Carlos may fall apart.
I love reading about the Cupcake of the Month that Charlotte comes up with…..

While this is book 6 in Maple's Cupcake Crimes series, and can be read as a stand alone but I think you will find that once you start on this series you'll fall in love with all it's wonderful characters and small town charm...even with the murders. Well written with smooth flowing story line and of course the amazing characters. I love Charlotte and Logan of course and Marianne but OMG I want to be a member of the Live Forever Club - how much fun are they! A cozy mystery that is sure to please and I can't wait to find out what will happen next in Sweetwater Falls!

I enjoyed this book. A murder mystery with a lot of things going on. Jeremy, Marianne’s ex comes back to town with a dead body and demands that Logan find out who killed him. There are parts of the story that are funny, the food poisoning made me laugh, you will have to read it to find out why. The author gives you clues as to who is the murderer but you have to really read closely and follow the plot to figure it out. I didn’t guess whodunnit. I would recommend this book and there is a yummy recipe at the end that I want to try. I received an arc and the views and opinions are my own.

Charlotte, who runs the local bakery, and Marianne are best friends. Things get interesting quickly as Carlos, the current boyfriend of Marianne is moving into his new law office, just as her ex, Jeremy, comes to town and is needing help due to his dead boss in his vehicle. The search is on for the killer and the clues are hit and miss. The situations are so funny and have great banter. The surprises, drama, misconceptions and romance are coming from all corners. Loved the characters and the locale. The ending was great.

Jeremy was the gum under everyone's shoes in Sweetwater after the way he treated Marianne. The nerve of him to return for a not so happy reunion! Charlotte proved once again that she was loyal to her friend. I must say, her hanging around the Live Forever Crew has brought out the vengeful side of her...although they were very tame in this one. I loved the dynamic of Logan and Charlotte and how they kept things interesting, romantic and fun. Note to self: when the fish tastes funny, RUN!!! This author continues to prove the fact that stories can be fun and funny without potty language.

I love cosy mystery books. They're usually a nice, light read between more substantial literature.
The premise is much the same as many cozy mysteries. Big city girls move to small town and starts finding bodies. Of course, everyone is suspect and no one is safe from the amateur sleuth.
I find these characters to be fun, if a little too wholesome and sweet. I like the ageing trio and their shenanigans. I like Charlotte, even if she is a bit starry eyed and awe-struck by small-town living.
The plots are getting easier to figure out and solve whodunnit. Charlotte is slightly less clumsy but that is still her shtick.
I enjoyed this cozy mystery with all of the characters. The main character was Charlotte McKay.
Charlotte McKay best friend ex fiance has showed up with a big problem. Charlotte doesn't trust him since he broke her best friend heart. She is a own a bakery and is also dating the town cop. She gets caught up with the murder of a man that was in her best friend ex fiance car.
This was a fun story to read. It has action and drama within. It was fun trying to guess who the murder was. It also had quite a few laughs and giggles throughout.
I received a complimentary copy via Booksprout. This is my honest unbiased opinions.
Marianne has a new boyfriend, a wonderful attorney named Carlos. But her ex-fiancé shows up in town with a big problem in his car: a dead man! And he won't talk to no one but to Charlottes' cop boyfriend. Charlote finds herself in a difficult situation when she has to find who the killer is, so the town can be the same old sweet lovely town it was like before Mariannes' ex came back.
This has been a really funny book, I really enjoyed it and had a great time reading, and loved the antics pulled out by the Live Forever Club.
A cozy, murder mystery with suspense, twists and turns that keep you turning the pages as you try to solve the mystery of who dun before you reach the end. The story line flows smoothly and captivates you from the start. You love getting to know the characters as you turn the pages and find them realistic, enjoyable and just as entertaining as the story itself. Cozy mystery fans won't want to miss this one.

I love this series because the characters are everything. Wonderfully written. Characters that you would like to know in real life. I felt bad for Marianne. Her ex Jeremy is a piece of work. He brings the dramatic to the book. Charlotte is a great friend and partner in detection. She backs up Marianne every step. I enjoyed Logan's part in this story and I loved Carlos and Marianne together. Winifred as always is so much fun. I received this arc from Booksprout and freely left this review.
I love this series as it has everything, romance, friendship, quirky comedy, and of course that Live Forever Club that shows age is just a number. When Marianne's good for nothing cheating ex-fiance is a suspect in the murder of his boss, Charlotte jumps right in to help find the real culprit so they can see the back of Jeremy's head sooner rather than later.

This is the 4th book I've read written by Molly Maple; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
This is the 6th book in the Cupcake Crimes Series; it is a stand-alone book. The story is about Charlotte, Marianne & Jeremy; even through they broke up he shows up asking for her help. Charlotte gets checking into his case and nothing adds up so now they have to prove he’s innocent.

I love the escapades Charlotte and her friends get into. Charlotte is a baker dating the town cop. She has a friend who is a baker who is dating a lawyer. Then she has an eccentric 90 year old aunt and her friends. Charlotte gets caught up in these murder mysteries that she is not looking for but does create havoc in her life. It is a very enjoyable book. You will love reading it. I can't wait to read the next one.
This is the first book that I’ve read in this series. Charlotte owns a cupcake shop but dabbles in mysteries on the side. Marianne’s ex is suspected in the murder of his boss. No one likes her ex but they do want the murderer caught. This is set in a small town with lots of activities. Interesting mystery and wonderful characters.
This is a fun, fast, easy to read, exciting cozy mystery full of mystery, humor and romance. I really enjoy this book and would recommend it to any cozy mystery fans. It is very entertaining and I am looking forward to read the next books in the series.
