Reflections During a Pandemic: Thoughts While Sheltering In Place

Rate this book
The COVID-19 pandemic in 2020-2021, and the social and political change that occurred at the same time tried the spirits of many. This is a collection of reflections that I produced during this time to help give people hope that a better day would arrive and that we all could participate in the creation of a new world based on justice, compassion and inclusion.

This is a charming book of reflections on the impact of isolation and uncertainty on important human needs like companionship and values like solidarity and compassion during the pandemic. There is nothing heavy-handed about this book, nor is it mere fluff. The author, rather, is asking the reader to think along with him about how we can maintain our humanity under such difficult circumstances and perhaps even come out better people in the end. There are no big answers to the human dilemma here. However, the author does make you smile and offers nice suggestions about how not to allow oneself to give into despair. The pandemic may end one day (hopefully), but the book will remain relevant for those looking for a witty, thought-provoking daily spirit-boost.
