Unable to accept her fate Zoya ran. Ran from her home, and Sean, the man that did not want forever with her.

Sean has been tasked with retrieving Zoya for the Alpha. He has been chasing her for nearly a year. He is close, he can smell it in the air, and with any luck soon he would reap the fruits of this thrilling chase.

This is an 18+ Series and is not suitable for those that cannot tolerate Violence, chases or abuse either on page or implied. These Characters as the novels unfold will prove to be foul mouthed sometimes and will do whatever it takes to get their desires. There will be MF, MM, FF, MFM, Poly and menage, maybe more. While swords cross incest is never on the menu, but a good time will be had by all.

Running From An Alpha
By Rachel Starkie

When omega Zoya's mate, Sean, rejected her her father protected her until he was murdered by the pack alpha, Morgan. Without her father's protection or the protection of her mate she ran. The pack alpha sends Sean after her to bring her back. Along for the ride is Sean's sweet younger omega brother, Dale.

After some of Morgan's dirty deeds come to light and Sean is out of his scope of influence he's determined to make things right with Zoya and get her to agree to mate him.

I loved Zoya. The author said it best when she said while Zoya is an omega her father brought her up as an alpha. She is strong physically and emotionally and refuses to be the pack alpha's toy and while she'd never admit it she still wants Sean. Sean made a huge mistake in rejecting Zoya, but it wasn’t all his fault and thankfully he comes to his senses. It's kinda fun to watch the way Sean grovels to get her back too. He's sweet, but kind of whiney and pouty about it. I loved Dale too. I truly hope the next book continues with Dale finding his mate. (I think I might know who it is too.) Loved Queen Maisy too. While I tagged this as a book with magic those parts are actually very minimal in the book.

I very much enjoyed this book. While the end isn't a cliffhanger per say... it does leave you with a big question about Morgan. I can't wait to read the next book.

The book is in multiple PsOV including Zoya, Sean, Dale, Morgan, etc. The angst level is low. There's to much fun and joking to be high angst.

Zoya is fleeing from a bad situation, she was rejected by Sean (the man she knows is her mate), was going to be forced to be the Alpha's (Morgan's) play toy. Now she is on the run, hunted by none other than Sean, but so far she has eluded him. Can Zoya win this chase? Or will she be dragged back unwillingly to her old pack? I loved Zoya, she has such a good fighting spirit, I liked Dale (Sean's brother), Zoya's friends and Sean (although he can be a bit frustrating at times).

This story was not bad. It had so much potential. I just think it slightly missed the mark to be more. The characters are easy to like, but it's the story that needed a bit more tweaking.

I did enjoy the story. It was interesting to see all these different species make up the council and work together. It was even more intriguing to learn of these other existing beings that have so much power, yet are out of sight. There was a lot going on and it all would have blended even more together if a few more details would have been presented.

There were a few plot holes that needed to be filled in, but seemed to be overlooked. I am unsure if the other books for this series will fill those in or not.

Zoya and Sean seem like they would be perfect for each other. It just felt their relationship needed a little more push.
Dale and Stefan stood out the most to me. Not sure who they are meant to mate with, but their stories seem more interesting.

Again, the story was not bad. It just could have been better.

When Zoya’s father was murdered but got called an accident by the new alpha she knew that she would need to run. The new alpha wanted her but she had already met her mate but he had rejected her due to the new alpha wanting her for himself. Zoya runs for about a year before she is found by the packs best tracker which happens to be the mate that rejected her.
The story continues and the new alpha is obsessed with getting her back but is brought down and sent into a spiral. We get a little cliffhanger at the end of the book which definitely makes me want to keep reading on.

Very interesting rejected mate, shifter romance. Zoya is a strong character that was easy to become invested in. The pace is fast in the beginning with a few slow moments. There are a few swoon worthy moments. the dialogue did feel a bit formal. Overall this is a good read.

I haven’t read any werewolf stories since my wattpad days so I thought I’d give Running From An Alpha a try.

Running From An Alpha by Rachel Starkie follows Zoya who was rejected by her mate and had to runaway from her home to prevent from becoming one of the Alpha’s whores. Sean, her mate, is tasked with capturing Zoya for the alpha. Will Zoya forgive Sean for rejecting her? Will they have their happily ever after or will Sean take Zoya back to the Alpha?

This book was interesting. Instead of Luna the Alpha’s other half was called Alphina. Werewolves weren’t the only supernatural creatures in the story. I’m also not sure what timeline this story takes place in because the characters talked very… proper I guess? There was a lot of “do not” “did not” “can not” and “it is” instead of a simple “don’t” “didn’t” “can’t” “it’s” . Not the biggest deal but just thought I’d point that out. Even though this was a novella, I felt like the story was very long.

There were times where I was a bit bored. But I did swoon at some of the sweet moments Sean and Zoya shared together. This book wasn’t really for me but I still enjoyed bits of it.

It does end with a cliffhanger so be warn!

3.5 stars. Zoya, the female wolf shifter lead, has run from her pack and her fated mate’s rejection. Sean, the male wolf shifter lead and the mate in question, has been chasing her as demanded by his alpha. But he’s not sure he can hand her over, mostly because he’s not sure why he believes he needs to. When the dragons offer sanctuary and assistance, maybe he can convince her he’s changed and can be trusted…

This novella is multi POV, mainly the lead characters with occasional perspectives from important secondary characters, has an interesting premise, and looks to be the promising beginning to a series. As a series starter, it contains a significant amount of world building. I would have been interested in seeing more character/relationship building with the main characters but this was still a good story.

I received a complimentary copy from the author and this is my honest review.

Great Start - Cliffhanger!

I loved this book. Great pacing, good characters development, good use world building as to the place of dragons, wolves and other paranormal creatures that occur in the novel. Zoya is terrific - Sean, Dale, others from the old and new clans are great. The villains are sufficiently villainous. I was so deep into it - until there was an ABRUPT ending or non-ending right as a major character was going to be doing something. Having a cliffhanger right when things are getting good does not help at all. It is the only reason I did not rank it higher. Had the book indicated that there was a MAJOR cliffhanger or worded in such a way that readers would be prepared, I would be okay with it. It would have had MUCH higher score.

Zoya is on the run. Her mate rejected her because the pack's Alpha wanted her for himself. Sean has been chasing her for a year. He wants her but he can't disobey his Alpha. When Sean finally catches her will he finally claim her or give her to another? I like this story! It has a nice cover, good plot, elements of betrayal, trickery, strong family ties and self-discovery. This story is different because it has a variety of shifters working together (wolf, dragon, etc.). I love Zoya's intelligence, spirit and tenacity. It ends in a happily for now. I look forward to reading about what will happen to Morgan and whether some of the other shifters will find their perfect mates.

I love a good old shifter story so couldn't pass this up with romance and rejection thrown in also.
It seemed quite heartless to send the man who rejected her to bring her back.
I do like the fact Zoya is strong enough to run and not let this situation destroy her.
I do like a female lead who has spirit and sharp wit.
This is a fast paced story that has adrenaline all the way through that had me reading equally fast.
Cliffhangers... oh dear... I don't have the Patience for the continuation. I must know what happens before it be forever wiped.

It's an fast paced, action packed, intense PN romance.
This book starts quickly and goes on and on. I love Zoya, how she doesn't take everything for granted, how she still managed to escape the horrible situation she was in and I'm really curious to see how this story continues. I liked Dale (Sean's brother), Zoya's friends and Sean (although he can be very frustrating at times). I can hardly wait for the next part. I gladly recommend this book.

I enjoyed this book. This is a new author for me and I am looking forward to read more. This is the story of Zoya fleeing from a bad situation and surviving on her own. Sean is the one tracker her down and is suppose to bring her back to the Alpha for him. Sean know she is his fated mate but his is being drugged and being controlled by the Alphas and he must reject her. This is their story of fighting through things and getting their happily ever after.
This is the first book in this series and looking forward to read the next book.

Loved the book it was great, the story the characters and Loved one. Zoya and Sean are fated mates but he had to give her up to his older brother Morgan who was Alpha of the pack insisted Zoya belonged to him so Sean backed down. Zoya ran from the pack she did what her mother did and went to the dragons for help for protection Sean rolled up wanting to claim her and said he will kill his brother before he gets her.

Exit stage left....

I simply enjoyed Zoya's story it's chock-full of clever and interesting characters, A double dose of charm and plenty of drama.
So Zoya's life wasn't going exactly as she'd hoped but with few real options she obviously makes the only choice she can.
Then the adventure that follows so well worth the bag of cookies and all the coffee.

Omega Zoya (FMC) has been on the run from Alpha Morgan who wants her as a mate from underhand reasons and a mate who rejected her - Sean. As well as Sean's brother - Dale. I genuinely liked Zoya. She's strong willed with plenty of wit and sarcasm. This book seemed short to me or it could just have been that I blitzed through it really quickly. Mainly because it was a good read. That ending was just knockout. I'm looking forward to the next book

I couldn't really finish this one. I skipped some parts because I am bored. Inconsistency of the leads made me bored. There wasn't character development and it was what can I say boring. I am so sorry. I may read the second book since the author said: "more to come" Please don't be discouraged and keep writing. I like your idea just not the writing. Thank you.

Quick read interesting plot

Short book and okey story. I mean I liked the plot the guy running after his firstly rejected mate and smartcookie hacker bro, wolfs and dragons…. Lot of good ideas. I even liked the heroine. And again, quick easy read.
It hs potential and made a good teaser for other characters. Good tease between the main characters and not toooo steamy but has adventure.
I may or may not check out future books. It was okey but Im not stunned.

Fast paced action packed

This book starts out fast and keeps going. I love Zoya and her take no shit attitude. I could not give this book 5 stars though. Several misspelled words took away from the story. I contacted the author and she is going to send it back to the editor, at that time I'll reevaluate and adjust my review.

First time reading anything by this author and overall it was ok. I liked the fact that though focused on the wolf and pack life there were all types of mystical beings. The author warning was a bit ott and was really only mf action. It has been left open for more.

While the premise was good, the flow of the story wasn't quite there.. the character development wasn't there, seemed a bit rushed and then left on a cliffhanger.

Very good story with a strong female lead. Rejected mates seem to be a thing now, lol. The characters are well thought and well rounded but the books needs a lot of editing because of spelling and grammar problems which prevented me from giving it a five

This was a good story about an interprising woman who is rejected and unsupported by her loved ones and escapes to find her own destiny. She does this and along the way recaptures the hearts of her loved ones and new friends along the way to prove a terrible wrong done to her family.

The FMC was an omega but was raised by her father to be very strong like an Alpha. I enjoyed that aspect of the book but the MMC that is her mate who is an alpha is not what I typically think of or expect of an alpha he came across weak. The book ends on a HFN kind of cliff hanger.

Poor Editing

Storyline was slow and predictable. Characters were alright, however not sure where this is going. Author needs to edit better. Too many mistakes.
