Gross
Main guy is a gross manwhore, and this book has outside the relationship sex, which is disgusting and doesn't belong in romance books. This one has such scenes in graphic detail, which is even worse. I'm so disappointed. At this time, this series has 4 books, and I was looking forward to this new to me series, and it's all ruined now. I hate when authors do this. Either label these not as romances or quit putting these scenes in there. It's so jarring and awful when I come across it. At the very least, out a trigger warning that the book has a main character having sex with someone other than their HEA. At least start doing that so I can avoid traumatizing myself by accidentally reading this trash and you can avoid a bad rating because every book like this gets 1 star from me because it's not something that should be in a romance. At all.

I just read this last week and I already forgot a lot about it. I had to look at my notes to remember a lot.
Hero is an escort. Heroine is 21 year old virgin.
The hero thought he was paid by the heroine to break into her room and pretend to rape her. So the hero breaks into the heroine's room and starts to "attack" her only that Isla never hired Ethan. Ethan brings Isla back to his place to keep her safe until they figure out who set them up. I liked Ethan's sister, I remember that. I liked how Ethan loves his sister and did a lot for her. This was a mediocre read. In the end, it was forgettable and in my notes it said I skimmed just to find out who set Ethan and Isla up.

God help me. I’m completely and utterly out of my depth. I want to start living life, and experiencing the odd walk on the wild side. He can be my temporary walk on the wild side. We meet this head on and then we move on. Except I don’t want to move on just yet. S.R. Jones has completely blown me away with her suspense-filled, intense & hot debut novel! Normally I am a paranormal junkie, but every now & then a contemporary (or other genre) book will speak to me, or in this case jump up & down, yell at me, and grab me and I just have to - NEED TO - read it!! This book is EXACTLY that kind of book and then some!! I ABSO-EFFEN-LUTELY love, Love, LOVE EVERYTHING about it! I laughed, cried, held my breath, cried some more, panted, gasped, growled, blushed, panicked, cried again, while loving every single bit of it and begging for me!! It literally kept me up all night reading it, I was truly THAT enthralled!!! (Don't be overly worried or concerned about the opening or the warnings! Things are definitely not what they seem!!) This emotionally enhanced, deeply enriched & ingeniously written story had me completely captivated and hanging onto every word right from "chapter one"! Okay, okay, truthfully? It had me at "Head On by S.R. Jones"! The beautifully detailed & lush descriptions and intriguing storylines brought this story to life all around me, while her complex characters had me living, experiencing and emotionally feeling my way through it all, with, for, but mostly AS Isla & Ethan, thanks in part to the first person storytelling! Isla is a fantastic character who has been through a lot, who is both innocent & shy while being strong & fiery at the same time. She is definitely in the Top 5 of my most favorite characters to become!! Then there's Ethan... *dreamy sigh* Okay he's also one of those characters who is more than he seems, but it fits given his history/background. In fact, every aspect fits, nothing is "bended" or amended to make it work in different parts, and the story flows so fluidly from scene to scene, chapter to chapter and character to character! I especially love, Love, LOVE the all of the Brit-liciousness!! All that's missing is actually, truly hearing those sexy British accents spoken out loud, not just in my head! Especially Ethan's!! Although, I would be a complete puddle if I could hear him, so maybe it's a good thing!! wink I fell in love with Skye's paranormal books and have read them more than a couple times, so when I heard that she was writing a contemporary series, I knew right away that I would be reading them. And I am so BEYOND thrilled that I did! No matter her name, she is a phenomenally talented author who is also an exceptionally gifted storyteller!!

I did enjoy this book better than book 3, however I am still not a fan of the characters backgrounds or the storyline. The "bad guys" really?!?! The story pretty much tells you who they are, so no mystery there. I didn't enjoy Ethans only choice of profession nor it being flaunted in Isla 's face. Isla being a virgin not a fan! Over all after reading 2 books by this author I'm just not a fan of her characters.

I voluntarily read an arc of this book for a fair and honest review. I love the beginning of this book. The reader can actually feel Isla’s isolation. All we know, is that Isla was in a car accident and that her mother was killed in the accident. Not only does she still live with her father, but when he leaves town usually her grandmother stays with her. This time, when her father travels, to the states..Isla is left alone at home. So the reader becomes aware of just how emotionally fragile Isla is. Ethan is an escort. Former special ops his career path is somewhat limited..he could become a sniper or assassin but prefers being a male escort for the time being. He is also helping his widowed sister both financially and with being around to help out with his niece. Ethan is hired to fulfill a “rape fantasy”. This is not an unusual request in his business and he does do his due diligence. The “victim” is Isla, she’s already sent the banking information and part of the information he’s received is that the house will be dark. That night, alone in her home, Isla goes to bed and leaves a light on in the hall. When she discovers someone in the house, she panics. Ethan comes in and begins the “fantasy”. It’s not long after he begins that he notices that Isla is not fake terrified but genuinely terrified. He stops, asks her about a previously agreed to safe word-and Isla is clueless. When he begins asking her questions and shows her all the email exchanges between them, in addition to her bank information the special ops side comes to the forefront an he begins to realize that someone wants to either hurt Isla or him. Not wanting to take any chances with her safety, he convinces her (no small feat) to come home with him until he can figure things out and at least stay until her father gets back from his trip. This is my first book by this author and, of course I’m hoping Luka gets his own story. The pacing was fluid and the characters believable. I actually loved the fact that although Isla might be a virgin, she was well versed in what she wanted, how she wanted it and finally who she wanted it from.

All I have to say about this read is...WOW WOW WOW...I couldn’t decide which character I loved or enjoyed more, Ethan or Isla. From the beginning to the end this story was one that I couldn’t put into words right away. It has suspense and lust/love, two things that I love about a book, along with chemistry, sparks, a story that flowed perfectly, writing that was flawless, and a plot that had me on the edge of my seat.
At first I wasn’t to keen on Ethan’s choice of profession but the author made it impossible not to fall for him and the conversations explaining his choice and when he talked to Isla on the date about it, not apologizing for his past and getting her to accept that she was the one he wanted a real relationship with....once again wow wow wow and I wished that was me in Isla’s seat.
Isla was innocent yet fierce, shy yet stood up for herself and didn’t back down, honest, beautiful, brave and a survivor and while with Ethan, matured and finally came into her own which made it very difficult for Ethan to deny anything she requested and hard not to fall for her as well.
This read made me melt and the steamy scenes between them...sigh big swoons and sighs. The suspense had my heart pounding and the ending I had to read twice since I couldn’t see the words properly through my tears.
There aren’t too many books that I would want to read again or fall so far for the characters or want to keep reading about them for days on end and not want their story to end...but this read did all that and thus Ethan & Isla made it into my to 5 couples of all time and the only way I can express how much I LOVED LOVED LOVED this read is to buy it even though I received an ARC to show my support to this talented author.

This story starts with Ethan almost making a big mistake. He makes women fantasies come true for a price. He takes a job to visit Isla, a twenty- one year old virgin. This is just the beginning for Ethan and Isla. This story twist though their relationship, I had such a hard time putting this one down. This is one of my favorite stories this year. It has a dark start to the story but it turns out to be a mistake until Ethan starts to find out it was a set up. If you like dark romances or just a great romance story this should be on your must read list. I received an ARC and have voluntarily left a review.

There are so many different things I can say about this book but the one that I mean the most is Just WOW... You talk about a book that will make you think about life in a way that you wouldn't normally. This book is so well written that is was truly hard to put down until the end. The characters are ones that will you will fall in love and enjoy immensely throughout the book. Please know that this book is not for anyone under 18 years of age. There are also a lot of different circumstances that happen in the book so if you have certain areas that you are uncomfortable about, please read all reviews and the synopsis of the book before purchasing. I personally thought it was a wonderful book.

Well written story with nice storyline and plot. This story is written in dual POV, which I like because it gives the thoughts and feelings of both the main characters to the reader.A story about Ethan and Isla. It start of with a hot scene so keep an extra pair of panties around. A story that I did not expect. It has twists in it and real hot chemistry and steaming scenes.
Ethan is a former Special Forces and he has a lot going on now. He has to be active all the time. He is a male escort now.
Isla is a new client of Ethans and they have instant attraction but do they call it or not? No spoilers here.

A well written book that is very intense. It's the story of Isla and Ethan. Isla is emotionally fraile and sheltered. At a young age she was in a car accident that killed her mother and she later had cancer. Her Dad is overly protective of her and never left her alone until he had to go to the States on Business. This is when she meets Ethan. He is ex special ops military and now working as an escort. He was hired to do a fantasy rape situation with Isla. He soon realizes that she did not order his service and was set up by someone. For her protection he takes her to his home until her father returns. Their chemistry is amazing and they are both such developed characters. What an emotional roller coaster. A great book but no spoilers here. This book will grab your attention right at the beginning and keep you page turning from then on. I received an advance reader copy and voluntarily chose to review it.

Idk, this one was not for me. I found the writing too clichéd and the characters definitely had some prejudices against each other that didn’t feel resolved (to me) by a near-death experience. Plus I don’t feel anyone should have to quit a job they like for their partner, even sex work!

Wow...this book is an amazing read! We’re talking suspense, erotic scenes, Russian bad guys, ex-SBS members...and do much more! A kickass storyline; characters you didn’t know whether to trust them or not; painful emotions...and do much more. This book hooks you from the opening scene and does not let you go! I received this book for a voluntary, completely honest and non incentivized review. I was pleasantly surprised by this book. It’s written well, no extra fluff. The theme, sometimes dark and twisty but exciting and passionate. The characters have great chemistry and their story is sexy, dangerous and sweet. This may not be for everyone, like the blurb said there are triggers. Compared to some other books with triggers that I’ve read, this one is not as intense as others.

I got this book as an ARC in exchange for a voluntary review. Ethan brings "dreams" to life for women,for pay.This story is one of sexual experience virsus a virgin with little experience. It's surprising how flattering the differences can be with strong characters.

My first book by this author and I loved it it's a romantic suspense and can honestly say I will definitely read more books from this author I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book.

Wow, this story grabs your attention from the start and keep you entertained throughout.. Ms Jones as done an amazing job in witing this story and her characters are truly incredible.

Hot, intriguing, a wee bit of suspense, not cheating or cliffhanger and you get a happy ending. Overall story was well written and only had a few glitches in proofreading. Ethan is definitely a better Alpha and Heroes than seeing him on his temporary detour as a fantasy pleaser . Good read. Enjoy!

Ethan Foston is playing a consent/non-consent role for his client, Selina. It’s a pretend rape scene fantasy that they have evidently enacted many times. Afterward, she told him what a stressful week she had and he asked her for details. Selina was a senior research scientist, and even though he was truly interested, she couldn’t tell him about her work. But she did recommend his services to a new client.
Later that evening, the new client, Isla, texted him to make arrangements. Her dad is going away on business and she’ll be alone. She doesn’t like being alone like this, but she is tired and goes to bed. Suddenly she wakes up, knowing there is someone in the dark room with her! She opens her mouth to scream and a hand clamps down over her mouth. His moves feel practiced, and now she is truly terrified of him! Trained in special ops, he immediately senses that she is not acting – the terror is real. Why didn’t she use the safe word they had agreed on?
Ethan realizes that either he or Isla is being set up for some reason. He tells her to call her dad, but he is in the U.S. and won’t get back soon enough. Her gran is sick and her two friends are not available. He doesn’t want to leave her alone. With no other alternative, he tells her to come home with him. He offers to have his sister and niece spend the night as well so she feels safe. But he knows he needs to get her out of this house for her safety. Is someone after Isla? Is she in danger? They went to a lot of trouble to set this thing up. How far is he willing to go to protect her?
This is a very well written story that I amazingly loved! Ethan steals your heart very quickly! He’s a former special ops type of guy who, when he left the service, became a sex-for-hire male escort who was sought after by many women. The story line is fast-paced and intriguing. The mystery will keep you guessing and on the edge of your seat! The reader will certainly not be bored with this one! I highly recommend it. You won’t regret it.

Raw is the first book in this series and I believe it can be read as a standalone. I am going to preface this review by saying that I read the previews and reviews before I read this book and was glad that I headed the warnings. The content is a little different than the normal romances that I read. That being said, I am glad I gave this a shot. This is Ethan and Isla's story.
Ethan is ex-military and is now an escort. He pleasures women for money, and it is simply that. He provides a fantasy for these women and gives them what they want and they have no issues paying for it. He receives a request from Isla, or so he thinks, and their relationship takes off from there.
Isla is a sheltered woman who has been through some serious things in her 21 years. Between loss and illness, her father has kept her safe and secure under his watch for years. She is comfortable in her world, but she is seeking adventure and Ethan just may be the one to give it to her, if she can get past what he does for a living and not grow feelings for him.
I had a hard time with this, even though I had an idea what I was getting into. Ethan was a likable guy, but his career choice is so questionable. Isla is so naive and that is understandable considering what she has been through. I really did like them, but could not get past the escort thing. I pulled for them in the end though. The story is well written, and has some mystery mixed in, some good villains, good secondary characters and a good ending. Overall, this was a 3-star read, and if you don't mind a little bit of a different storyline this may be for you. ⭐⭐⭐

You’d almost think these two would make an unlikely couple. Ethan’s ex special forces who’s now a paid escort, supporting his sister and niece, and not into any deeper commitments in his life. Isla (love the name) appears fragile and naïve since she’s been sheltered all her life, living with her father, and still a virgin. Although just looking at this description you could be doubtful, you’d be wrong. Isla has a deep core of inner strength and she’s not as innocent as she might appear, and even though he wasn’t looking for it, Ethan’s ready for the changes he didn’t expect Isla would make in his life.
This is a fast-paced, very engaging tale with well-drawn characters and storyline. There’s just enough intrigue, suspenseful drama, and steamy passion to add just the right elements to keep you turning pages from beginning to end. The chemistry between Ethan and Isla works very well, and even the distress surrounding their first meeting doesn’t diminish the attraction of them as a couple. I enjoyed reading this and look forward to continuing to the next in what I believe will be a very entertaining series.

When Ethan left the military, he turned to a job that was flexible, but paid well. Isla has suffered enough through her childhood, but came out on top stronger. One mistake brings them together, but someone wants to harm them both. Will Isla allow herself to fall for Ethan? Will Ethan be able to keep her safe?
Have to admit, that with the first chapter, I was unsure whether this would be a book I would want to read, BUT by the time I got about halfway I couldn't put it down. Loved how despite Ethan's past and line of work, you can see him falling for Isla little by little. Isla was definitely sheltered and naive, but she proved time and again that she was stronger than what others thought. Great read!

Loved this story. Ethan looks after his sister and his niece after a tragic accident takes away his brother in law and the only way to do that is to be an escort so that his schedule is wide open. Only his area is consensual non-consent. Isla is staying home alone when her dad leaves the country for business when Ethan breaks into her house and almost forces himself on her until he realizes something is wrong. He has emails confirming the details of his job and is doing them all as planned, only Isla knows nothing about the set meeting. Someone is out to hurt her and he wants to know why. Will he be able to find the answers he's looking for and let her go? I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
