Is the premise of this book a nice little spicy treat, with not much else to offer? Yes. But I think it was such a sweet and loving story of an established couple (husbands)—having lost themselves a bit—reconnecting, learning to being vulnerable, to communicate better and getting through the difficult moments together. Ending up being stronger than ever. A very beautiful and meaningful message hidden behind all the kınk and smut.

It was certainly hot but also had me going “aww” several times. This is definitely an author I’ll keep my eye on going forward.

There aren't a lot of books about established relationships in this genre, so I was incredibly happy to stumble upon one. This book also deals with the quarantine and how that affected the mental and physical health of one of the MCs.
Ben and Nick got married in January 2020. A few months later, lockdown happened. Now that the pandemic is lifting, they are on vacation to a semi-private beach. However, the relationship suffered during pandemic. Ben feels incredibly unattractive, having gained weight, and suffers from depression. He feels like Nick isn't attracted to him anymore. Meanwhile, Nick is trying to hide the full level of his attraction to his husband, because he doesn't want to pressure Ben into more. They have a relationship in trouble.
Until Nick confesses the secret kink and naughty desires he's developed recently. Then things start to pick up. However, a night of kinky sex doesn't fix their problems. It does, however, open back up the door to communication and care, letting them begin to lean on one another again.

This is my first time reading a book from this author. And needless to say I will be reading her duet next.
Nic and Ben are going through hard times after a pandemic. A vacation will either make or break them if they don't choose right. The author did a great job in this short read allowing us to get to know the characters and the relationship between these two. The the added element of being honest with your spouse and the awesomeness and spicyness that followed was great to read.

I am Ben, I think most of us can relate to Ben in one aspect or another. This book has no business being how damn hot and intense it is in 25k!!! It was honestly the perfect length to give us a glimpse into Nick and Ben's life. The kinks displayed in this were so hot and I loved seeing the way they handled them in their relationship.
KD Ryan continuously keeps bringing the less written kinks and plots into her stories and I am here for all of it!!

I think the concept here is for it to be weird and that was fine with me until it got really weird in the end and I was like “oh ok I guess we’re going to just skim this part.”
This starts off with Ben just being a total jerk to Nick (the best husband ever) and as much as I can understand his reasonings it was just annoying to read. Nick was the real reason I kept reading because I just loved his character and how much he loves Ben for who he is. There is a lot of spice here and it’s good but gets weird so look for the TW if you wanna read this.

I upped my review from 4 stars to 5 after reading this the second time. It basically has lived rent free in my head since I read it the first time, so I figure it deserves the 5 stars. It is kinky, hot as hell, but sweet too. And I just realized there's an epilogue if you sign up for KD Ryan's email, which I was more than happy to do to get more of Ben and Nick. I'm sure I will be reading this sexy little novella again in the future, because I think about it all the time.

Ben's dance studio went out of business during quarantine, when in-person classes were canceled. Ben was stuck in the apartment for a year of quarantine. This put Ben into a depression, which he is in therapy for, but he's still depressed. One problem is, Ben went from having a lean dancer's body to gaining the "quarantine 15," and he's too depressed to do anything about it. As a dancer with a gorgeous bod, he had been kind of judgmental about other people's weight, and now karma's biting him in his (big) ass.
Nick is a successful dentist. He was still allowed to work during quarantine as an essential worker.

As I mentioned, this is gay romance. A VERY KINKY one. It is definitely NOT for the faint hearted or the close minded. This is not because it is sexualy explicit but because it mentions daddy kink and breeding fantasies between men.

I know some people are calling this erotica but I have to disagree (a little). The novella is about 70% smut but it's not mindless nor without thought. Nick and Ben are fully fleshed-out characters. The dynamic of watching them rekindle their relationship as opposed to getting together was refreshing in a genre that seems to have something against established couples. And as for the story itself, there's not too much to say about it but to call it erotica seems...unjust almost. From Nick deeply caring for his husband to been learning how to accept and live in his new body, there are a lot of elements here that make the story feel complete despite how short it is. And to tell a full and complete story in 80 pages flat takes talent. This is still a romance, even if it's centers around a couple rekindling their relationship through kink.

A perfect MM novella with just the right amount of turmoil, questioning, kink, and dirty talk that we all crave in an MM.
Ben...ohhh Ben. Ben is me, I am Ben. Ben is self conscious about his body and weight. He hates his body and convinces himself his husband is going to leave him for someone else. Ben is also battling with his mental health which just adds fuel to his negative thoughts and self doubt. Nick is trying so hard to be a supportive, caring,and doting husband....but how much is enough? He needs Ben to give a little.
Nick thinks a getaway will help them reconnect and maybe get Ben to open up. At first, it doesn't seem to be working much. Nick is walking on egg shells and doesn't even know how to approach his husband anymore. Especially now that he has found a new kink that he can't seem to quit thinking about.
When Ben catches Nick ogling someone else and then later catches him hiding his phone screen, will that be the final straw? Will they finally lay it all out?
Find out when this one releases. It's a sad but brave novella and it gets down right filthy in some points.

Ben is also battling with his mental health which just adds fuel to his negative thoughts and self doubt. Nick is trying so hard to be a supportive, caring,and doting husband....but how much is enough? He needs Ben to give a little.
Nick thinks a getaway will help them reconnect and maybe get Ben to open up. At first, it doesn't seem to be working much. Nick is walking on egg shells and doesn't even know how to approach his husband anymore. Especially now that he has found a new kink that he can't seem to quit thinking about.
When Ben catches Nick ogling someone else and then later catches him hiding his phone screen, will that be the final straw? Will they finally lay it all out?
Find out when this one releases. It's a sad but brave novella and it gets down right filthy in some points.
I'm definitely looking forward to the other standalone coming from K.D.

I received an ARC of this novella and I loved it. Nick and Ben stole my heart in a short time for different reasons. Nick was just so supportive of Ben and his insecurities with himself. I always love a man who is willing to do anything to save his marriage. He just wants Ben to see what he sees when he looks at his husband. Someone beautiful and sexy as ever. And Breeding link was a new one for me, so I looked it up and then read the novella. I am definitely a fan now that I have been introduced to this new concept. I completely understand the aphrodisiac of pregnancy and marking what’s yours and think that particular kink is hot as heck. Watching Bens confidence rise as they begin to dip their toes into Nicks new kink is as alluring as the sexy times themselves. They not only get each other and their marriage back, but get even more when they start this new erotic adventure together. It will bring just as much joy to your heart as a red hue to your cheeks from being flushed. I am a huge KD Ryan fan and this just reaffirms my belief that she is an amazing writer who I will continue to follow and also enjoy reading anything that she gives me.

I enjoyed this novella by KD Ryan! KD gives the characters a lot of depth and does a great job of putting you in their mindset without being too overbearing.
Nick is a dentist, and his husband Ben is a professional dancer. The pandemic and subsequent lockdown have crushed Ben’s dream of running his new dance studio.
The pandemic has also caused Ben to gain some weight, a big difference from his usual physique as a dancer. Ben is sure that Nick doesn’t find him attractive anymore because of the weight.
Nick loves Ben so much and has always found him attractive. For reasons you will find out, Ben doesn’t know that Nick is just as attracted to Ben now as he was before, if not more so.
These two find a way to rekindle the flame that the pandemic snuffed out. It’s charming and very endearing! I think you’ll enjoy this story.

I had no clue what this book was about before I bought it. All I knew was that it was banned from the ‘Zon (it was put back up which was when I bought it, not sure how long it’ll be on there though. This is only the second book I have read containing breeding kink. While I’m still getting used to it, it doesn’t gross me out.
This book was a decent, quick read about 2 husbands who go on vacation. Ben is depressed because he put on 10-20 pounds during the pandemic lockdown and doesn’t want Nick to touch him. Nick on the other hand finds Ben even more attractive with his soft belly that feeds into his newly discovered kink. Nick convinces Ben to roll play and it totally changes their dynamic and revives their marriage.
This is a small snippet in their relationship and we don’t really get to know the MCs so if you’re looking for depth, you won’t find it here.

Underlying the kink this story explores is a relationship that, despite the strains of the pandemic and the changes Ben’s gone through, is solid, strong, and founded in mutual love and respect, and it adds depth and sweetness to the things they explore together. There’s plenty of heat in the story (read the blurb for a description, as it may not be your thing) and it’s well written, but for me the strength of their emotional connection takes their interlude to another level. Knowing how much they care for each other made some things that might otherwise have been troubling (the intensity of Nick’s interest in his new found fetish, the discrepancy between how Nick feels about Ben’s body and how Ben does) seem manageable: they communicate with each other and check in with each other, and that goes a long way.

Trigger warning: this book discusses the dark side of depression and gives a realistic point of view of the person suffering with it. I connected deeply with Ben and I’m glad to read something that doesn’t shy away from being detailed.

I was really surprised to find out this book was banned on Amazon. It was such a sweet story of husbands reconnecting after the hellish year of the pandemic.
I don’t think it’s a spoiler to say the kink they are exploring is breeding but I’ll mark it as a spoiler anyway. Adding the daddy title just made it more interesting.
Romances that add spice just make a better story.
Only thing I would change is adding an epilogue. I’m a sucker for a peek into my character’s future to make sure they are still happy. Other than that, the story really made my morning. Quick read.

I went in to this thinking it would be mostly smut, mostly because of the length of the book. But I was pleasantly surprised when we got true character development through out the story.
We don't live through their past problems with them, but we get the idea of what they have gone through and how it's affecting them now.
Ben's character is so relatable, how his mind works when he doesn't see himself as enough anymore and assumes his husband is of the same mindset.
I like the slow switch that happens when Ben finds out about Nick's fetish, how his submission helps him find his old self again.
I also like how Nick went from thinking something was wrong with him, to accepting his own desires. And how he coaxed Ben out of his shell.
It's smutty but it's more than smuts and I love that the author chose a kink that is less known compared to others.
