A cosmic dust cloud brings the dead back to life as Mother Nature decides to throw in a curveball, infecting the world's population with an alien virus. As humans begin to reanimate after death, Dallas, Texas, is thrown into chaos as each new generation of the virus mutates, creating more & more dangerous predators with each bite. The world is quickly overrun with three deadly creatures that shouldn't exist. Humans must try to survive what could be an unsurvivable event as the creatures soon leap to the top of the food chain, with humans becoming their primary source of food.

Good book

This book was hard to put down. I got attached to the characters, and was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what would happen to them. I recommend this book to everyone who is tired of the same zombie story over and over again. Most of those are good stories, but this is definitely different from them. Can't wait to read the rest of the series.

Excellent story with a new take on zombies. I really like the various mutations and the dangers each one provide. The characters are believable and I found myself rooting for the ones I like and hoping the ones I dislike meet an untimely end.

wow. really great storyline and characters

At first I wasn’t sure if I wanted to read it because it was talking about alien virus. But the author brought the storyline together where it made since. It started just like it would in today’s world. I couldn’t put the book down.

This book takes you through a fight for survival amongst citizens in Dallas who have managed to avoid being bitten by zombies infected by an extra terrestrial virus.

Survivors need to pull together to avoid becoming infected whilst figuring out what the virus is
and how it's mutating. They also need to find food and shelter whilst avoiding their monster enemies.

You learn about different characters caught up in the disaster and different segments of chapters revert back to them as they progress in their own fights for survival and how fate eventually brings them together. They also have to share their expertise like Tanya with her medical knowledge and Garrett with his army experience.

The monsters and gore are very well described and the way Sinclair includes the prospect of anarchy and infighting among survivors makes it a fun read. Can the characters survive and find out exactly what it is they're trying to survive from? I enjoyed this read and am looking forward to part 2, I think you will too.
