Ashen Rose was an engrossing and emotional read.

The characters were diverse, which was refreshing to see within a fantasy. Also, Tabitha Harding-Chestney's writing brought the characters to life; I could vividly see the scenes playing out in my head.

I look forward to seeing what comes next for Queen Lorilynn Thornton!

I received a copy of this book from the author and right off the bat, I have to say this book was extremely addictive. I read the entire thing in one sitting. The fast-paced storyline and enthralling characters had me starved for more. It flowed beautifully, a very well written piece.

The inclusivity of many races, sexualties and personalities made this novel much more realistic and diverse. It almost gives me hope that our future will be similar. The characters felt authentic and were easy to picture.

The storyline was interesting and managed to vaguely explain how the world had developed without dwelling on it, and halting the flow. The romance intertwined into the storyline, without subtracting from it and the smut was tastefully written. The forced marriage trope is usually fairly predictable, but this strayed from the usual and remained original.

Admittedly, there was some repetition but not enough to ruin the twists and turns of the plot. I was hooked from beginning to end!

In conclusion, I would definitely recommend it, and immensely enjoyed the whole thing.

This book had me hooked from the start. The vivid descriptions set the scene perfectly and created such an immersive read, making it feel like this wasn’t the first time I was introduced to the characters and setting. The thought and hard work behind each creative decision is evident and the book is well written, full of twists and turns and surprises, never being too predictable. The book had me constantly wanting to read more and I can’t wait to see what comes next!

Amazingly paced, keeps you constantly interested to turn the next page. Princess Lorilynn is a much more complex character than first presented- and I loved that!
The ending wasn’t what I expected and leaves you wanting more!
