"Beautiful, beautiful Speed Demon." The rouge hissed. His rotten breath hit my nose, making me want to upchuck. "It was so easy to catch you... Almost to easy." His face scrunched up into a nasty scowl. It was true, though it was supposed to be easy to catch me. "I guess I'm not the best."
Lie. I was the best Speed Demon in the Glint pack.
"I guess not." He smirked. "But you puppy... Are all mine." He moved a piece of my hair. "What makes you think that?" I scoffed keeping my cool. "Because I have you tied up! You are trapped! And you are mine puppy." He laughed, I rolled my eyes, then cracked my neck. "What makes you think I'm still tied up?" I scoffed standing up and stretching. He growled before charging at me. Before he could touch me I had wrapped my hand around his neck snapping it, killing him in the process. "I don't go by puppy." I scoffed a smirk played on my lips.
"I prefer to be called Callie."
This is the second book of "My brother is my mate". It was honestly written better than the first book, still grammer issues.
Deadly Mate was a great ending to April and Asher's story. Though the love between them seemed fated their journey for their much deserved happily ever after was full of different trials. Watching the various pack members come together while bringing their own talents to the table was quite entertaining. I loved the interactions between all the various characters and enjoyed seeing everyone's story come full circle. Definitely enjoyed this book a bit more that the first book and was smiling by the end.
I knew that Callie would be the one to help April rescue Asher. It was great how the book ended. One thing that bothers me. The family that Callie brought back to her Pack. That part of the story wasn’t address again. We found out that the Woman and little girl were abused. But was never said why this family was running away from the Pack. Or what else the doctor found out about the family itself. I was just wondering about that.
This book was actually written better than the first book. Better structure and less bad grammar.
The only reason I bought the book anyway, was because I read it was in Callie's POV. I had questions I wanted answered, so I kept reading. I read both books on the same day.
The story idea is interesting, but just like the first book she seriously needs an editor to help her writing. So many errors through out her writing. Her characters were more developed in the second book, but she needs more structure in her plot design. Has potential. Find her an editor!!
I was on the app. Ireader and just completed this the second book in the series with the first book and the untitled 3rd since the last page said it was book 3 chapter 90 - though I found alot of grammar errors I was able figure them out and enjoy the story line - if you like the twilight series you will enjoy.
It was a great read. And the ending was amazing. How after their trails and tribulations they came back together as a family .. Now who will win at candy land???? This time.
Loved this book so much.and oh I had to fight to not tell you callie's secret in fear it would Ervin the sprite for those who have not read book 1 yet. But omg your going to love it.
Like in the previous book just a lot of grammar and spelling errors that really needs fixed. Also felt like towards the end of just got jumbled up and rushed. It was overall good plot and I like both books like I said it's really need some good editing.
