This was a quick read for me, really nice actually, inbetween some really chunky, heavy reads.

I struggled to rate it because this is the first anthology I've read, and obviously I preferred some of the stories to others. I've given it a 3 star rating overall, mainly because each novella was really too short for me to form a proper view on.

It's made me realise that anthologies probably aren't my jam, unless they include some of my favourite authors whose writing I already know and love.

Ultimately I need the full story, with all of the character development and background and world building that goes with it. These novellas really just felt like a chapter within a book to me.

That said, if you like taboo m/m romances and quick 'n' dirty reads, then this is the anthology for you 😈.

Honestly the last story was my favorite 🙃 I think these stories would be much better fully fleshed out and the third one ended too abruptly for me and I have too many questions 😂

Four stories, four times taboo
Rating 4 - 5 - 3.5 - 3.5 is a nice 4 stars.

- Mutual Destruction by Abrianna Denae & Claire Marta

Dang, that was harsh and hot.
After being separated for five horrible years, twins Ash and Kieran are finally reunited.
It takes them some time to settle, they are meant to be together.

Besides the deliciousness, the content is quite harsh. The five years apart wasn’t by choice it’s quite traumatic.
Brotherly feelings turn into something more, deeper, deeper than that isn’t possible.
Captivatingly written, it’s quite dark, I enjoyed it very.

- When Fantasies Collide by Elouise East

Gosh, that was an awesome story! Convincingly written, the emotions palpable. The taboo is delicious.
Father and son, both with a taboo fantasy. Nicely developed, quite considered, with a good plot, it felt like a large story. There is an awesome sexy scene where one of them is sleeping! My favorite! Such an appealing narrative!
A recommendation is worthy!!

- Entwined by N.J. Lysk

I wondered if there was even going to be some mm action, there were women in the picture, widely described how they were pleasured. Okay, not quite the thing I was looking for here.

One cared too much, the other too less and one was in the middle torn apart.
The story got a bit repetitive here and there about the situation they were in.

I had some expectations when I saw it was about triplets, I know I shouldn’t, so it’s my fault I got disappointed.
The writing was good, the content not to my likes.

- His Brother’s Brat by T.M. Chris

Uncle and nephew, that was nice. Eighteen years old and horny af. Uncle Simon doesn’t allow him Grindr yet. Both yearn for the other. It can’t happen.
When Kael gets in trouble, his protective uncle is his savior. That needs some gratitude!
A nice story, with crumbling resistance, all quite appetizing. A good, solidly written story.

3.5
I'm going to start off with a warning that Entwined, the 3rd story, is incomplete. It looks like it will be mmm but it didn't get there. It also contains an mf scene and a fairly graphic description of oral sex on a woman. It's borderline cheating. If I'd known those things I'd likely have skipped that one altogether, or if I'd been prepared for it then it might have been okay.
Other than that it was a good mix of stories. My particular favourites were the first and last stories

✨last updated: 10.20.2021✨ I was shocked to see this was still in my KU loans after it was removed from Amazon, but I’m not complaining. I’m simply gonna devour them before they magically disappear for good!!

🏳️‍🌈 Mutual Destruction by Abrianna Denae & Claire Marta🏳️‍🌈
RATING: 4.5 ⭐️

BLURB: Ash and Kieran shouldn't be together. They've spent the past five years pretending their codependency is just a by product of their shared childhood trauma. Then one night everything changes. When the lines between them blur with their desire, they need to decide if it's worth the risk of their mutual destruction if things go wrong.

REVIEW: holy surprise identical twincest!! This is a beautifully dark tale of recover through tragedy. Kieran’s demons are nothing compared to what Ash endured those long five years with Brad, his abductor. The way these two sought consent and acceptance was not something I see often. Communication played a pivotal role in gaining and growing trust. It also helped immensely with their mutual recovery. I wish this story had been longer. I would have enjoyed more from this couple.
.
.
🏳️‍🌈When Fantasies Collide by Elouise East🏳️‍🌈
RATING: 3.5⭐️

BLURB: When Adrian is given the chance to live out his wildest fantasy, he's shocked when real life comes calling instead. The barriers between him and his son seem insurmountable, but Rhys wants to break them down. When their secret is exposed, who will support them and who will deny them? ⚠️ this story is in third person, dual POV, British English.

REVIEW: Father-Son. Sex Club that fulfills fantasies. Blackmail. This story had all the things I enjoy but the third person was painful to read for a romance. I kept having to stop and come back because my brain simply couldn’t wrap around the writing style. I wish this had been in first person, the characters and story were so fun. And that’s frustrating because I’d love to know more about the two side characters Wyatt and Niko!!
.
.
🏳️‍🌈 Entwined by N.J. Lysk🏳️‍🌈
RATING: -currently reading-

BLURB: The Thorpe triplets are three boys on the cusp of manhood, linked forever by an accident of birth and struggling to reconcile who they are with whom they love. Jude is their natural leader, but he is also gay and the lines aren’t in the same place for him as for most people. When an afternoon of porn and camaraderie ends up with him crossing the line with one of them, their whole lives will be upended... But love is love, isn’t it?

⚠️ first thought…this better not be like K Webster’s newest book beauty Love Trips from A Final Family Affair.

For those who love the ultimate taboo

“it was like Kael had never kissed anyone before. He needed to be taught. God, did he need to be taught. He needed to be corralled, controlled. Corrected for his audacity.”
His Brother’s Brat by TM Chris was my absolute favorite from this compilation - 5 stars. Simon and Kael’s story was fabulous and I enjoyed the great storyline with engaging characters, sexual tension, and singing heat.
Of the four stories, three are complete and one, Entwined by NJ Lysk, ends on a cliffhanger.

Three stars because the thirds story is sad and it put me in such a bad mood. I only read HEA and the fact that in the blurb it sounded completely different annoyed me so much

Not rating this one as I only read one of the 4 stories. I attempted to read two others and couldn't finish them.

His Brother’s Brat by T.M. Chris - 3.5 stars
Uncle/nephew incest. Gay estranged uncle reconnects with his 18-year-old nephew when his dad kicks him out of the house for acting out, precipitated by his father's homophobia. I've really enjoyed this author's MM works and they are the entire reason I got this from KU (before it was kicked off the platform due to content!) and I thought it was solid. Not quite as nuanced and developed as I'd generally prefer, but it was a short story and I think it was quite satisfying as one.

Four taboo stories that are just right

This book is basically four taboo novellas in one. I'm a complete sucker for taboo and these all hit just the right spot. There was a range from mild angst to gut wrenching and brothers, father/son, and uncle/nephew. I really enjoyed all the selections, although the story by N.J.. Lysk made me cry! I love anthologies because you get such a diverse selection - even though they are all bound by a common theme. Definitely worth 5* stars!

This collection of 4 taboo romances was a bit of a mixed bag for me. There were a couple of stories that I enjoyed and some that just didn’t work for me. The stories did feel a little too short for me and I would have liked for them to have been longer and more developed as they felt a little rushed.

If you like a short and dirty taboo read then these will hit the spot though

Mutual Destruction: 4/5
I didn't connect with Ash and Kieran as much as I wanted to, but their story was still deliciously steamy and forbidden. I loved how dark and angsty the two of them were, and seeing them cave to their deepest desires was a treat. For a story so short, Kieran and Ash worked through some pretty heavy issues, and I was impressed by the way the authors packed so much into a few chapters. I can't say that Ash and Kieran's romance ended with the picture-perfect happily-ever-after, but they were certainly much better off than when this story started.

When Fantasies Collide: 4/5
I wasn't a huge fan of this author's writing style, but Adrian and Rhys's taboo romance still captured my attention. Theirs was another angsty, twisted journey, and I enjoyed every bit of the back and forth. Rhys and Adrian had fiery hot chemistry, but the forbidden nature of their relationship turned what would have been an easy connection into an emotional battle. For a long time I wasn't sure Adrian was going to allow himself to be happy with Rhys, and though this story touched briefly on the start of their romantic relationship I wish there had been more to show how the two of them navigated things as lovers. Instead, the epilogue felt like a laundry list of all the significant changes to their lives, when what I really wanted was to live in those moments and be a part of the journey to their happy ending.

Entwined: 4/5
This story had so much potential, but the inner romantic in me is screaming at the way it ended. It's not that I expect every taboo romance to have a happily-ever-after, because reality isn't that straightforward, but Jude, Nate, and Jayden's story crushed me. I spent the whole book waiting and hoping for Nate to reconcile with his brothers, only to watch Jude and Jayden fall apart in an even more heartbreaking way. I could see the cracks growing in their relationship early on, but I kept blindly hoping things would be okay all the way to those last few sentences. Up until that point, I was really excited about their story--all the steamy, angsty moments thrilled me, and I was intrigued by the overall storyline about the triplets growing up. I just wish the ending hadn't made me feel so sad, because that's not what I'm looking for when I read romances. Kudos to the author for writing a really emotional, captivating story though--I fell for it hook, line, and sinker.

His Brother's Brat: 5/5
Simon and Kael's short, steamy romance hit all the right notes for me. I really enjoyed getting to know the two of them and especially loved the Daddy/boy undertones of their relationship. I was intrigued by the trouble Kael's dad accused him of getting up to, and I'll admit that I wasn't expecting his storyline to turn out the way it did. Simon was a wonderful advocate for Kael, and the idea that he'd claimed Kael not just in guardianship but as his lover made me really happy. With a deliciously hot coupling and upbeat ending, there wasn't much I didn't love about the way Kael and Simon's romance turned out!

**I voluntarily read an ARC of this book. This review expresses my honest thoughts and opinions.

4.5 Stars.
I was lucky enough to get to read the one story from this anthology.

Whenever I see Claire Marta and Abrianna Denae’s name together I know that the book is pretty much going to be epic. They both know how to write gripping stories but with their own evil twists, and this time they took it into the unknown.
After reading work by both of them, this story is on a whole other level, but you can’t help but be pulled in and wanting to keep reading. If you’re a lover of taboo stories then you’ll want to give this a read as the twists they’ve put into this is different than others. However, if you’re cautious when it comes to this type of genre then I would honestly recommend trying something else because after reading this book you’ll realise it’s so different from their other work.
This is a short read but once you get started you won’t want to stop.
I honestly think that Claire and Abrianna did a good job with this story, there’s a couple of things that I’m looking forward to hopefully find out about, for instance why did Brad kidnap Ash??? What was it about him that drew him to take him?? I’d love to know the back story as to why things got to how there are with Ashley, it’s clear that he’s still struggling, but other than that I loved every minute of it. I can’t wait to see what else they both do with this story.

Kieran has been struggling mentally and physically for the last five years and that’s down to his twin brother Ash being gone. It wasn’t by choice, and they’ve both been suffering for way too long. Now that Ash has been found and returned to Kieran neither of them are willing to be apart from one another.
They’ve always been one, needed each other, no one understands the bond that they have.
They both are dealing with the aftermaths, but the darkness is surrounding the two of them.
Needing to find the line that works well for them both without crossing any boundaries, will they be able to work together to get over the darkness?
Will either of them be whole again or was Ash being kidnapped the end of them for good??

This is four different stories and each author was one I either already follow or would love to read more. I have to thank Gay Book Promotions for giving me a chance to read this.
Mutual Destruction
This story is about twins that are closely tied. They have circumstances that separate them and when they get back together so much comes out about that separation time. This is a very intense story but I felt it really didn’t end rather is a stop at this point. I hope this author will add to this.

When Fantasies Collide
This story started out with a surprise. This takes two guys in a totally unexpected direction. Both have had fantasies but never expected to see them happen. This is really a heartwarming story.

Entwined
This story drew me in and I was so anxious to see where it would take the family. I enjoyed there being multi main characters. I felt the character development is great. I was really into the story when it ends on a sort of cliffhanger. I can’t find anything that says where the author plans on writing this into a series or even finishes this story but I’d love to know where Jayden, Judy and Nathaniel end up.

His Brother’s Brat
This is the author I currently follow. No one can put together stories like this author. This takes a totally dysfunctional family and resolves so much. It is warm hearted and made me really like the mc’s. As usual this author gives great background on where the characters come from and why they do what they do. This is one author I highly recommend following.

When it comes to anthologies they can be hit or miss for me (especially when it comes to new to me authors) and overall this one ended up being in the middle for me. I enjoyed reading both “When Fantasies Collide” and “His Brother’s Brat” the most out of the four short stories. “When Fantasies Collide” was the one that I enjoyed the most and wouldn’t mind another story with Adrian and Rhys. I didn’t feel their story was rushed and enjoyed reading the epilogue. When it came to “His Brother’s Brat”, I would have liked to have seen an epilogue, since some will feel it ended abruptly, I don’t, although I do feel like it was somewhat rushed towards the end. As for the other two stories, they were meh to me, especially “Entwined”. “Entwined” felt incomplete to me, almost as if it were a prequel and didn’t hold my attention at all. While “Mutual Destruction” could have been better to me if we had had more character development and not felt rushed throughout the story.

Overall if you’re looking for some quick taboo stories to read in between some heavier reads or something quick to read during lunch, maybe give this one a go.

I give this book 3 mixed stars.

Over all a 4 star rating for the collected stories is a little high.

Mutual Destruction by Abrianna Denae and Claire Marta 3.5 stars
Twin brothers, each needing the other to feel whole. A tale of how they survived a horrific ordeal. Angsty

When Fantasies Collide by Elouise East 4 stars
A father role playing out his darkest fantasy and the son helping him make it a real.

Entwined by N.J. Lysk 3 stars
This story is about triplets. One by himself the other two involved with each other. Very angsty, abrupt ending.

His Brothers Brat by T.M. Chris 4 stars
A man takes in his nephew because the young mans father kicked him out. He didn’t expect the feelings that began to overtake his life. I enjoyed this story the most. Felt more complete than the others.

This was a mixed bag for me. 2 stories I really enjoyed. The other two were ok.I realize that the stories are meant to be snippets, but I wish there had been a bit more in a couple of them. Writing was well done in all. A couple of authors were unknown to me so I will be looking for some of their other works.

Thank you for the ARC read, I voluntarily give this book an honest review. So many feels with these story!
Abrianna Denae & Claire Marta: Mutual Destruction. After long miserable years, Kieran finally has his twin back. Ash is broken deep in side but the constant light at the end of long tunnel is  his brother. Only is he contaminating Kieran or is something just as broken in him? Will this desire push the together..Can they help fix the other to make themselves whole. from a twin owning his other half just to find home again.
Elouise R. East: When Fantasies Collide. Adrian uses Escape, where he can have his own guilty pleasures. Only this visit is about bring reality and fantasy colliding. Rhys gets just one night to live out his real fantasy but One nightstands had ended better than the few hours with Adrian, will father and son stick to the one night rule or will temption disrupted everything else after. A father wrecked over feeling his son brings.
N.J. Lysk: Entwined. As triplets the boys couldn't be more different, Nate moved rooms leavig a void between them as a violin takes their place. while Jude is a risk taker only fear holds him back, in some wayshe just wanted his brother's attention. Jayden is willing to help fill the void and so much more, only how far are they willing to step over the lines? One wrong word or move could bring everything burning.
T.M. Chris: His Brother’s Brat. Simon is in over his head where Kael is considered! Kael is learn why be little Uncle Simon when he can be with Uncle Simon? With one phone call, Simon's small minded brother had done the unthinkable. Kael was "acting out" with no other opposition Simon agreed with Burt to let Kael stay with him. Only how was it going to be when Karl lied to hook up with some stranger, willl Simon send him packing or curb his bratiness in another way.

I’m a big fan of anthologies: I love having the chance to see different authors offer their takes on a general theme (in this case, the title ought to give you a clue as to what that is, and if it doesn’t, the blurbs definitely will). This collection offers a nice blend of scenarios and tones: some are darker and angstier, some lighter and sweeter. Of the four stories in this book, “When Fantasies Collide” and “His Brother’s Brat” were my favorites. “When Fantasies Collide” has heat, intrigue, and a fair amount of angst-- all impressively developed within the arc of the short story. “His Brother’s Brat” has beautifully developed characters, and a great blend of sweetness, heat, and occasional flashes of humor.

*I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

First, let me say I did enjoy this anthology overall.

What I loved: The stories were quick, steamy, dirty, and taboo. If you're not looking for anything slow burn or a longer read, you're going to really enjoy this anthology. The stories are short enough you can read the book in a day, or you can easily space it out over multiple readings, with one story in each sitting.

What I wasn't crazy about: Entwined felt like there were some missed opportunities in it, but overall it wasn't horrible. Mutual Destruction had some parts that were really hard to read but overall it was a great story.

Final verdict: Taboo lovers can all find a story to enjoy in this short anthology. Overall stories were well written and engaging. Definitely worth grabbing and reading.

Oh my goodness this was so good. It starts with Mutual Destruction by Abrianna Denae and Claire Marta. This one gave me all the feels. There are triggers do read the warning. When Fantasies Collide by Elouise East was awesome. I was nervous about how things would go as things happened. Loved how it ended. Now we are at the one that broke my heart. Entwined by N. J. Lysk. Man I cried so hard for these boys. This one will not give you warm fuzzy feelings. Totally broke my heart. Thank goodness T. M. Chris finished it out. His Brother’s Brat was wonderful. The only thing missing was Karma paying Burt a visit. But Kael is better off without him. Overall, this was a good anthology with a well balanced mix.

A single rating for this anthology is probably unfair since the stories varied greatly in quality and tone, but overall most of them needed more work and were far too realistic for an erotica anthology. "Mutual Destruction" and "Entwined" were more depressing than arousing. "Entwined" was the weakest entry, giving the definite vibe of an unfinished draft where the story and the structure don't add up. "Mutual Destruction" was better but a bit claustrophobic. "When fantasies collide" and "His Brother's Brat" were nice and probably suffered from the decision to include them in the same anthology.

Taboo is definitely the word for this collection
Twins - Triplets - Father and son - Uncle and nephew
This had a bit of everything even some MF

For the most part, I enjoyed the collection -
I did wish a couple were a bit more in-depth(?)
I felt like I was missing part of the story
Though this is a collection of shorts and I think that is just me being greedy

This collection has a slightly angsty slightly dub-con
A really sweet fantasy meets reality
A wee horny brat who needed a strong hand
And a slow build that has a lot of MF in it
Not in that order

Four good stories, each in their own way.
The twins was just the kind of deliciously obsessiveness that was a good start to the book.
Followed by a father and son fantasy that turns reality, though at the end I kind of wanted the best friend to join them.
The triplets was the story that stayed after I finished, mostly because there wasn't an end to it and we are left waiting for the continuation that I know is coming.
Lastly our uncle and nephew story was very darling, and I could easily have read a full book with some bratty behaviour and the uncle that puts him in his place.

If this is an area you've been interested in exploring, but don't know where to begin, this is an excellent place to start. Here you have several excellent writers coming at the topic from different angles and you can get a feel for what you enjoy and what you want to read more of. That exploration can start with these authors and then branch from there. I enjoyed all the stories and have already added a few titles to my TBR based on this anthology.

I love reading collections as they always give me an inside look at some authors I haven't found yet.

Deliciously naughty

This book was everything I was hoping for! Four stories that fed my guilty pleasure for books that aren't exactly mainstream. Each author had their own style and I enjoyed the way each of these stories played out. My only negative is that I wish some of the stories would have been longer!

Delicious Tales of Taboo

Each of the four works were definitely well written, great works of taboo, and strangely the the first with the twins that I didn't settle well with inside somehow is the one I enjoyed best. It was the third to last that confused me a little, that one wasn't my favorite. The other two were alright and enjoyable.
