Snowfalls, festive meals, and family gatherings. It must be the holiday season on Marigold Island.
Business at the Beachside Inn has been going so well that Lydia and Angela decide to take a bit of time off for the first time since they opened their doors, making a plan to close the inn over Christmas and use the space to host a party for their family and friends.
Lydia is also grappling with worry that Grant’s mother doesn’t like her, so she suggests that they invite his parents to visit for the holidays, determined to smooth things over.
Angela and Patrick have moved in together, and Angela is more grateful than ever to have a kind and supportive father-figure in Jake’s life—especially since the little boy has developed his first crush on a girl at school, something Angela has no idea how to navigate.
Brooke is working on a new treat for the bakery, something she’s certain will make her pastry shop stand out… if she can finally get the recipe just right.
And Travis is dealing with a series of 911 calls involving the defacement of Christmas light displays at several houses. Can he track down the culprit before they strike again?
One thing is certain: holidays on Marigold are never dull!
Come dip your toes in the crystal blue waters of Marigold Island, a fictional island town tucked in next to Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket. This heartwarming and uplifting women’s fiction will take you on a journey of healing, friendship, family, faith, and love.

They have both been working so hard since they ope the Inn and haven’t taken much time off. Come and enjoy the the festivities on Marigold for the holidays.
Not my favorite book, so far. The characters are getting ready for Christmas. It seems like the author is just filling in the spaces with unnecessary words. This book left me longing for the Christmases I remember. That was bittersweet. Especially since today is the 26th of December! Now not to give away too much of the story, this is why I gave it 4 (four) stars... I feel that WAY too much time was spent on Lydia trying too figure out why she felt her mother-in-law didn't like her. The book was only about 196 pages or so & probably 50 pages (were for me) wasted on that issue. OK so most of us obsess anyway, right? And the last reason was quite a few editing mistakes. At one point the character that was being spoken about, was put in using the wrong person's name & misspelled to boot. Oh well, it happens to the best of us. (I didn't go back & check my spelling on this review. I could be calling the kettle black here!!). BUT, I did enjoy the story, hope you do, too! Mary C
I didn’t like it as much as the others, I like that it tried to connect the characters, but if you have been reading the books in order you know who they are.
Marigold Island has an abundance of warmth, caring and support as Christmas approaches.
Lydia and Grant invite his parents to spend Christmas with them. Lydia is worried that Evelyn does not like her, but Lydia keeps trying and eventually Evelyn confides that their special closeness makes her feel that it is missing in her marriage. Lydia's daughter. Holly is there with her fiance, Nicholas and Lydia is glad to hear they are going to wait until they graduate college to get married. Lydia's Aunt Millie who never married has found love when an old classmate retires on Marigold Island. They now have such a large group of family, significant others, and friends that Angela and Lydia decide to host a Christmas get together at Beachside Inn on Christmas evening. Life is good on Marigold Island.
This holiday novel celebrating Thanksgiving and Christmas on Marigold Island is rich with characters and stories. Fiona Baker is an expert at showcasing different kinds of love, depicting love between people of all ages, from first crush to mature adults. The wonderful part of a series is seeing how characters develop and I actually feel like part of the Marigold Island family. I recommend you read this imaginative, sweet book.
Beachside Holidays I really enjoyed reconnecting with my favorite characters from previous stories. I truly enjoy books that weave the community into them. It’s refreshing to see these women grow and be strong enough not to rely on their men but do it. Very lovely representation of women as strong characters without making them hard feeling women. You feel yourself immersed in this world. I look forward to many more Beachside stories as I love the community and characters in this series!
Loving the Marigold Island Series, I have one book left and I have finished the series so I will savor it and try a different author next before heading back to it.
The Holidays are magical time of year especially for feel good romance novels! Beachside holidays doesn't disappoint as the couples come together and enjoy the holiday and strengthen their love for each other and we end with new people meeting to look forward to more in the next book!
It took a minute for me to remember all the players in the series, but that didn't stop me from enjoying this well written holiday book. A lovely island makes the setting beautiful and warm wonderful characters keep it interesting. I do think you'll want to read the previous books if this is the first of the series you're experiencing.
This series is all about family, fun & romance. Marigold Island is fictional. The characters fit the genre nicely. I’ve enjoyed them but the repetition became overwhelming and skimming the last 2 chapters was easier than wading through the same sentiments ad nauseam, think I’ll skip the last book.
This series of books is so good. I do wish the books were combined together instead of dragging them out. Also, it’s incredible how many mistakes I’ve come across with characters’ names getting mixed up and typos. Not sure if it has something to do with reading on a Kindle instead of an actual book!?!?!!??
I have enjoyed this feel good series. Book 7 would have been better with more editing. The author says the same things over and over as if the book was not proofread. The series as a whole is filled with spelling errors but it was a fun story and quick read so easy to overlook the errors.
While it was enjoyable to catch up with my favorite characters from the previous books, this book was a little slower read. I didn't enjoy it was much as the others. It was still a good book and well written.
Oh what a wonderful way to celebrate Christmas with families and friends, and I'm loving Millie and Carl, getting together. Life is better than ever. Please keep writing these books.
Great read. Enjoyed reading about their holiday traditions. Really enjoy the new romances and the growing ones too. Looking forward to seeing what is in stored for the young couples.
Just another amazing book!! I feel like these characters are part of my family. Best thing!! I’m never bored with this author’s books!! On to the next book!!
Sweet light heart reading. The plot continues in the same direction in every book. However, it continues to keep my curiosity about the next book. A great bedtime read to quiet my mind.
I like this series a lot, but dang, Fiona. PLEASE use some different adjectives. “Incredible” was used about 100 times, to the point that I was rolling my eyes when I kept seeing it. There are better adjectives to describe food and aromas, I hope the author discovers them.
It takes a community working together to get things done. Everyone shows that if you make the effort to Do anything to show you care What your loved ones want , and they are happy
This was a warm and cozy book filled full of family and friends on Marigold Island . A perfect read on a winter's day . Can't wait to read the next story .
