I'm not really into historical TC but this book was so well-written and researched that I am giving it five stars. Many of the cases remain unsolved and the author offers abundant theories to keep you thinking. I particularly enjoyed the chapter on the Zodiac. I would like to read a book by this author about more modern and obscure cases. Maybe I'll get my wish someday!
Unlike many true crime writers, This author Does much better when it comes to clarity Grammar and editing. I do disagree with his views on gender dysmorphia, But he's entitled to his position. I like the fact that there are pictures included with the stories And I understand that his health is not good But I am hoping that he continues to write because I I enjoyed the book. As an avid reader , I, , , I Go through many many books every month So it's nice to find something that's clear concise and I certainly enjoy the backstories he has provided. Some true crime books are very very poorly written spelling grammar All kinds of awful things and it's very difficult to get through so this was this was nice for a change.
So much to love about this true crime book! Mostly historical cases yet these are the hardest ones to research and write about which the author does a really good job of by providing useful info. Unsolved cases like the zodiac, mary phagan and bodom lake are covered in a plenitude of detail. It's a big descriptive, analytical, well written book so I recommend it to those with a serious love of true crime.
Highly detailed cases with loads of crime photos and intelligent analysis. The author Prash Ganendran is an engaging writer and superb researcher who specialises in telling the stories of both victim and killer, and unearthing cases that would otherwise remain buried in the vaults of true crime.
Not a bad review of true murders, some solved , some not. The more recent crimes were more interesting and better relayed than some of the older ones. Good fodder for true crime fans.
