Sharing True Love
Wow, Janie, my friend from "Harborzoo" days! I had no idea how much this book could grab me and not let me go until I read every last word. I cried my eyes out, knowing that this could happen to any of us. Of course, I pray it doesn't, yet I and my dear husband, John, understand the deepth of love we share is akin to you and Scotty's. After reading this, I feel I've done some "pre-grieving", with the hope I will never have to go the long distance. I and John both envision a similar knawing pain that will consume either of us, when God decides to split us up.
Thank you for sharing your grief, Janie! I can only say, in a weird, off-color way; we are the lucky ones, that get to know a love so deeply. Entertwined for so many years, yet never taking it for granted, because we know this is the real thing. We can only pray that our children find that rare true love to share their lives with, no matter the length of time. That knowing is the blessing we get to keep forevee. That knowing nourishes the soul back to a life without the partner we cherish so much. Thank you again for sharing your beautiful, courageous self! I hope hearing some of your reader's reviews will lighten your heart, and strengthen your resolve towards acceptance. All I can say is, "How did you possibly adopt TEN medically and/or emotionally-challenged children?" Your heart must be one of the biggest around!
