Darius is really tstl and I’m not really feeling any chemistry between them all. I had hoped they all ended up together but the 4 outside of Darius don’t seem connected on a sexual level. Everything centers around Darius. Maybe they all end up together later but I think I’m tapping out.
" I guess…” he said. “None of it really turned me on.” For the love of Benedict. Give me strength. This man turns me the Hell on. ................
"We’re here,” George went on, “to bend to your will, service your needs, and ensure your constant happiness and satisfaction
Oh! Man.... that's the EUPHEMISM for sex. .............
"Keep him locked between us,” George said. “He can’t penetrate our love for his son. He’ll feel that and give up.”
Oh! Fuck..... that's so sappy. Haha .............
"We’re not a foursome to be messed with,” Oscar said gruffly
Yeahhh! Damn righttttttt ..............
It was enjoyable, but did not exactly thrill me with blood pumping through my veins or send me over the edge. There was no exciting action scene for me. But. The sex was worth looking forward to.
I could not help myself thinking that these vampires were just getting what they wanted to survive and got a glorious Darius as a bonus. It was just easy to brush it off to feelings like love, passion, need, want and desire making the action feel more moral and ethical.
We got a little surprise at the last sentence. and that was enough for me to speed dive into the second ocean of vampire harem.
Did anyone else feel awkward 100% throughout this book??
I mean the conversations were awkward, the “romance” was awkward. The plot was decent but everything that built up the plot was just off... no depth...
I don’t know... I am an awkward girl so maybe it’s just me. But if you want a book where everyone is beyond beautiful, and our “human” excepts everything without a hitch, and problems are easily solved... then this is for you. (Hey sometimes people are into that.. given the right mood I might have eaten this up...)
Having read a book by L.H. in 2012 that was a little bit good, I thought I'd see how her writing has progressed by reading one of her more recent works. I was severely disappointed. 😒
This is about 🩸gay vampires🩸, which is why I gave it a chance. Unfortunately, it reads more like a synopsis and less like a well-written novel with depth.
All the MCs are two-dimensional, and suffer from sex-on-the-brain syndrome. Let's not worry that someone's life may be on the line, and is in need of protection. 😤 (Thankfully the bad guy held off on making an appearance until they got a few sexy times in, and the vampires were able to fully explain things to Darius).
According to the blurb, Darius Linnet has it all. He's a top male model, he's traveled the world, and everyone wants to either be him or be with him.
So why does he have NO friends, acquaintances or life? He only does some vague modeling jobs, and occasionally visits his mom. He either walks, takes the bus or a cab to wherever he needs to go. No one recognizes him. No one tries to hit on him or get his autograph. He's even thankful that his mom got her washing machine fixed, so he didn't have to buy her a new one! (This is coming from a guy who wears a Rolex). 🙄
But wait, there's more!
It was clear our cambion (half demon/half human) had the allure his father did. A demon in full seduction mode was irresistible. Darius just didn’t seem to know he could have anyone in his bed, male or female, if he decided to.
Add to that, our top model islike some kind of Adonis, so beautiful it's hard to believe you're even human...
This irresistible Adonis is a 25-year-old virgin, who's never even been kissed! Darius is supposedly like catnip to vampires, causing them to have an insane attraction to him. Yet at 25, he meets vampires for the very first time. 🫤 Thankfully they're the good guys who only want to get him naked, and drink a little of his blood! Phew...😌
While the story started somewhat interestingly, it ended up being something I had to skim my way through. I was never drawn into the shallow, nonsensical plot. 🥱
No rating because I gave up a few chapters in. I am not the target audience. Opening with a detailed M/F scene had me wondering if I'd picked up the wrong book.
A great book and so enjoyable and satisfying to read. In fact I’ve got the second book I was so engrossed in the storyline. Adore the characters especially Oscar and George, the plot was unusual , brilliant, and it was very well written. More I need more !!

I was highly skeptical about reading this book... I really didn't have high expectations... Was expecting lots of naughty times with no depth... I WAS WRONG!!! It is a bit anticlimactic with the HFN ending... BUT, OMG... Darius and his vamps have depth to them... An actual storyline that is interesting... Characters that are intriguing and well-rounded... It has extremely detailed settings and characters... With, the satisfaction of reading a book about vamps!!! I do wish Darius exhibited some of his Father's lineage... But, that's nit picking...
An interesting and sweet gay paranormal romance. I enjoyed the characters and the build up of the story. It was hard to put down wondering what was going to happen next. The characters were intriguing and unique in their personalities. I was disappointing in the ending it was kind of anticlimactic. Overall a good read just wish the ending was a bit more with all the build up.
I found this to be fairly interesting, however it was a bit too insta-love for me. I also found Darius to be a little too naïve for someone who is a popular/famous model. I mean telling strangers where he's staying or where he's going to be the next day and what he's doing??
Darius is a world famous model that no one recognises, he is fit while not watching his diet or going to the gym, he's Adonis but no one hits on him other than the vampires we get introduced to.
To make a believable world building it should include the fast paced life of models, the parties that someone this famous obviously would be a part of.
Growing up in a religious home, I can buy that his upbringing is part of why Darius being a virgin still, as he struggles with his sexuality.
The whole lighting from the fingertips thing was more an annoyance to read about, because I'm sure that if lighting strikes down the pipes, something will get broken.
Darius's father is not as big of a threat as the blurb leads us to believe. He conveniently keeps his distance until the guys are all present. I'm not sure why he couldn't have taken over Darius earlier, as he knew where he left him.
If his mother never met Mammon again, how does she have a picture of him on a wall, or did she hang up a random picture of a man, cut off the top of it and framed it like some mad attempt of connection?
It's far too many questions. I didn't find the chemistry between the five, I liked the start but I skimmed a lot towards the end.
This book is addictive! I ended up reading it in a day, despite telling myself to stop and do something else, and I'm still craving more! Very well written, great characters and a plot I can't wait to see continue to unfold.
With the scene shifting from Paris to London, Harlem presents a fast pace view of a paranormal world, focused primarily on vampires. Model Darius has a heritage that is critical to his vampire quarter's immortal existence. Lloyd spots him secretly releasing; Oscar accompanies him on the flight home. Rhys does a repair while George shares a shoot. Clever introductions bring the team to a purpose, reticence turns to robust desires and the happy for not conclusion happens in moonlight on a grassy meadow.
The physical explorations are hot and varied, the vampires and their human mate are all prime specimens, all fit and ripped. Harlem gives each a great deal of humanity and goodness, even when fighting ultimate evil. A highly enjoyable and entertaining romp.
Gay harem with vampires. Really good writing. A quick but decent plot. Sexy times that were ok but won’t get your blood pumping. Sadly the men in the harem aren’t into each other, just the MC, and there is enough talk of jealousy and “hey, we said we’d share him, remember “ that leaves me feeling this arrangement probably won’t work out in the long run. All members of the harem were unique and felt relevant which doesn’t always. The final addition in the story though feels unnecessary, and since the vampire got what they wanted I’m happy to end my time with this series here at book one.
Not exactly sure how I feel about this book. I liked it enough, but it was a little tough to get through. Darius especial, so four vampires have told him. He is there one and only, he is also their salvation. Then again he is half demon with a father that wants his body to use as he sees fit. Darius seemed to except what was told to him without question, i’m guessing he felt something inside him that made him except what he was told. Now he has four vampires that want him and he wants them. There is plenty of six scenes in the book, a little bit of drama, but it just moved a little slow for me.
This wasn't quite what I was expecting, but I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Yes. There were some hot scenes, but actually the characters of the different men and the plot was almost more interesting than the sex and I wasn't expecting that. I think the characteristics of the 4 men could have been fleshed out a bit more, occasionally I forgot which one was which, but in general the story was good and the I enjoyed the plot lines. The ending was as it should have been and was in keeping with the story.
It was an interesting read. A great twist to the harem story line. All the guys were lovable. The story was a page turner up to somewhere in the middle. Darius relationship with his vampires develops well. But Darius own story began to become a bit tiresome and the author seemed to quicken the ending. The book was good up to a point. I wished the author would have taken the time to develop more of Darius and his father 's story. There were scenes that were left hanging, so I definitely couldn't give it a five star rating.
I was a little unsure going in to this book. I’ve read som MM before but always when a F accompanied it. So this was my first true MM and it was a whole harem. I really enjoyed it though. While there were some super hot and sexy moments, the story itself was really interesting. I loved all the characters. I’m really excited to see if we get some more of them in the future and what will come of it if we do.
I was a bit skeptical about reading this book at first because of the mixed reviews, so I dived into it with an open mind. And to be honest, it was good! I really, really liked it! The characters were great and their relationship even much more so! The plot and lore of the vampires and demons were good and I was truly interested in seeing what would happen next after reading every chapter. So yeah, it's a good read for me.
It’s almost a slow burn but not quite. It gives a good amount of backstory with still keeping the focus on the present. His Vampire Harem doesn’t have any interaction amongst the harem, they only interact with the MC so if that’s what you prefer this book is for you. I prefer interaction amongst the harem but it still gets 5 stars because it’s very well written and believable relationship development.
I’m a little confused about how George could have felt normal in a toga, in Rome, in his youth, when he was turned in the 17th century. There was also a lot going on, in this world, that wasn’t incredibly clear. Is this set in the same world as a previous world by this author? Or was there just not an impressive job at world-building?
Overall, there wasn’t really anything that I felt was new, or unique, with this world, or this group…
Loved the story. Loved Darius, Lloyd, Oscar, George and Rhys. Great way of managing the harem feature so that each vampire gets a chance to take part in Darius' sexual awakening and no one is left out. The ending had a bit of a twist though I do wish there was a little more to the battle against the demon Mammon. Looking forward to the next book!
It was nice enough. Sounds like I’m damning it with faint praise, and I suppose I am. I didn’t find the peril very perilous, and I didn’t find the love interests particularly believable (I have no problem with fated lovers or insta love but none of this *felt* real).
It passed the time, and I definitely didn’t dislike it.
I really, really liked this story. Great characters, good relationship building, and interesting plot. All of the characters were likable (not an ass in the bunch! Refreshing). I enjoy a lot of this author's work, and am glad I pre-ordered this one.
I was waiting for this book it seems like forever, and it did not disappoint😊. Such wonderful characters and a great story. Thank younger writing the book of my dreams.
This was a great harem romance story with engaging characters and one steamy storyline. I'm really hoping that there will be more of Darius and his vampires because I have so many unanswered questions.
DNF @49% I was bored and this is coming from the fact that we are only just learning about who he is and what it all means. I was so into it, until I wasn't anymore and now I just can't seem myself picking it up again.
