Just finished this awesome book! I lay my hands on this because I saw Namita's name on it. Moreover, the cover page and title attracted me. I read this book on Kindle Unlimited and I am glad I did. This anthology has stories that will make you laugh or will leave you wondering. Some are really breezy and light reads. Above all, these stories will make you happy. I loved ' 50 rs is 50 rs', ' Chit Cheats', 'Wink and Miss', ' love at a Karaoke' the vegetarian poachers'. Would highly recommend this book to you as it is a jar full of joys!! Happy Reading!
This is not a book written by Namita Das. It's an anthology with 13 short stories, none written by Namita. She's the editor though.
I was searching for a story by her after I opened the book, but there's just a note by her at the start of the book. No story.
All the stories are light reads, and are entertaining. The only one which made me giggle throughput was Chit-Cheats. The second one to make me smirk was Once Upon an Indian Marriage.
Most other stories are good too, and if you're looking for a light read, or are bored from reading other books, this book will be entertaining and refreshing.
I don't know why the Kindle ebook has only 74 pages but Goodreads shows it having 102 pages. The ebook ends at page 60.
Short stories, Fun light read. Most kept me hooked till the end. Few mentions: Chit cheats, Aliens: somewhat bitter sweet; Vegetarian Poachers, Wink and Miss, A very good morning were cute and fun.
Week 24 Book 23 A Jar full of joys by Namita Das Rating: 1/5
This is a quick read, a collection of short stories by various authors, compiled by Das. I'm appalled at the quality of writing: very uninteresting, random stories that just don't make sense. Waste of time. Don't read.
