I volunteered to sneak onto an enemy battleship. Now I’m stranded on a prison moon with a hot Drexian pilot who can’t stand me.
I had no choice. It was either volunteer for a rescue mission for the Drexians or go to prison on Earth.
I know, I know. The irony isn’t lost on me. But what were the chances I’d end up on a creepy alien prison moon running for my life with a Drexian who seems annoyed that I saved him?
You’d think Jax would be grateful I used my considerable burglary skills to break him from the Kronock brig, but he looks at me like I’m dirt on the bottom of his boot. And I don’t think it’s because of my dodgy past back on Earth.
He’s got a grudge against humans. At least human females. Which is a problem since we’re stuck together on a swampy planet that’s too hot to wear much of anything.
All I have to do is survive until we’re rescued, and I’ll never have to see the aggravating Drexian again. If I can fight the urge to kill the annoyingly gorgeous alien for that long. Not to mention my urge to…
This standalone sci-fi romance novel features steamy scenes on an enemy prison moon, a smoking-hot Inferno Force pilot, a cat-burglar turned rescuer, and a guaranteed HEA. If you like feisty heroines, aliens with extra erogenous zones, and lots of adventure, you’ll love SCORCH, the second book in Tana Stone’s sci-fi romance Inferno Force of the Drexian Warriors series. This series is a spin-off from the original bestselling Tribute Brides of the Drexian Warriors series.
I love sexy aliens and independent heroines. I grew up on Star Trek: Next Generation and Star Wars (and I adore them equally). My favorite superhero is Thor (with Aquaman a close second because, well, Jason Momoa), my favorite dessert is key lime pie (okay, fine, all pie), and I still lament the loss of Firefly.
I live in North Carolina in the US and have one husband, two teenagers, and two neurotic cats. I sometimes wish I could teleport to a holographic space station like the one in my tribute brides series (or maybe vacation at the oasis with the sand planet barbarians). :-) When I'm not writing, I love to paddleboard, dive, travel, and read obsessively!
Well, how do I put this......it was at times quite boring. There were moments of fire and action, but in all there was a lull to the story. My feeling my stem from the fact it also felt very familiar, like I have read it before.
The following ratings are out of 5: Romance: 🖤💙💜❤️ Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥 Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘 World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌏 Character development: 🙂🥰😎😄 Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙 Narration Type: Duet Narration
The Hero:Jax - he was a Drexian fighter pilot with the Inferno Force, and was stationed at the new space station dubbed The Island. He discovered an energy rift near the station and he went through it along with his captain Kalex. The captain was able to get away but captured by the Kronock battleship which was on the other side of the rift.
The heroine:Samira (a.k.a. Sam) - she is a thief who likes to steal from people who take advantage of the poor and the weak. Kind of like a Dexter who is a burglar instead of a killer. However, when she is caught, the authorities don’t care that she is only stealing from those who deserve it. She is given a choice, to go to jail or to help the Drexian warriors in a rescue of one of their own. They need someone with her skills to enact their plan. So she agrees to help them.
The Story: Jax was once signed up for the bride program, but had a terrible experience and his hopes were crushed. He now thought that human women were nothing but trouble and didn’t plan on ever getting married. He was surprised when Sam showed up outside his cell to rescue him. He had been expecting an attack by the Drexian Inferno Force, and instead just one small human woman came.
I liked the fact that Jax underestimated Sam from the very start and loved the fact that she was more than up to the task of rescuing him. I also liked that this book was much more of an adventure than the first book in the series. The characters were well developed and the world building was pretty great. I liked both characters despite how cocky Sam was. I figured she was good enough at her job to deserve the attitude.
This audiobook was told in multiple points of view and was narrated in duet narration by Aubrey Vincent and Adam Prugh. Adam Prugh has a nice deep voice, with a bit of a rough edge that I liked quite a bit. Aubrey Vincent has a nice voice and sounds natural and expressive as she narrates. In this book, unlike the last, she did a british accent, which I didn’t like as much. She sounds a bit too harsh. Also I absolutely hated some of the voices she did, like the ones she used for Raina and Serge.
A much better book than the first book of the series
This series is a spin-off from the Tribute Brides of the Drexian Warriors series. I kinda hated the first book of this series because the FMC was so unlikeable. But this book makes up for it with a female lead that is strong and sassy and tries to hide her vulnerability without coming across as a raging, demented bitch (like our last heroine). I don’t know why some authors struggle with this, but they do.
Samira “Sam,” is a thief on earth. But a thief with a conscience. She only steals from rich folk that have gotten their ill gains from exploiting those poorer, and weaker, than they are. But she’s caught and given a choice. Help the Drexians rescue one of their own, or spend the rest of her life in prison. Obviously, she chooses the rescue mission. We met Jaxon, “Jax,” in the last book, Ignite. He came to Captain Kalex’s aid during an intrusion by the evil Kronocks. While Kalex escaped, Jax wasn’t so lucky. The Drexians never leave a man behind. So while Jax has no doubt that his brothers will come for him, he has to endure some brutal torture until then. The plan is that with Sam’s unique set of skills - the ability to break in pretty much anywhere - she can sneak on the Kronock battleship and get him out.
While a bit far fetched, even for the best of human cat burglers, it was still an enjoyable read. I was just happy that she was a likeable character. Especially, since her tough psyche and bravery is exactly the type of female that Jax needs. Jax is a tough Drexian warrior, but he is vulnerable where human females are concerned. He was rejected by his matched bride and it really, really affected him. I rather liked seeing this side of a tough warrior, but even more satisfying was to see both he and Sam get past their own baggage and realize they had something special.
While I didn’t recommend the last book, I do recommend this one. Their HEA was sappy, but satisfying. This is why I read these damn books!
ADULT Alpha Alien Male 🐺Sci-fi Romance 💕and Adventure🚀 If you can get past the silly love boat🚢 and island🌴🌊 references in these books about their space station💫, there is usually a pretty good space 🚀adventure with battles featuring the Drexian Warriors Inferno Force.
Samaira,💃💋 a Human female , has been recruited by MI-6, because of her superior skills in thievery. She is a criminal . She has been sent from Earth 🌎to join the Drexians🐺🔫🔪 in their rescue mission for missing pilot, Jaxon.🐺🔫🔪. He has been captured by their enemy, the Kronock 🐍.
The Drexians🐺🔫🔪 don't tolerate deception, so by trying to hide her criminal record, Sam💃💋 is getting off on the wrong foot with Captain Kalex🐺🔫🔪, But they will need her special skills.
ARC Provided by Book Funnel 🌀. I also got this ebook from Amazon 📚with KU.
This book is written in first person, with dual points of view. Some of the situations in the book are stupid and contrived. People fleeing an enemy or dangerous situation do not stop to have a long winded conversation!
World 🌎building is very good in this book when Sam💃💋 and Jaxon 🐺🍆⛲🔫🔪crash land on a black 🌙moon.
Maybe I should have read this series in order and started with book 1. I rarely do the read out of order thing, but the synopsis for this book was interesting so I dove in. I like this one. Though I started out loving it, then I got a bit frustrated with the journey and also not really being able to quite place our Hero, Jax, due to not much detail given regarding him. Except that he's buff, with long dark hair. Maybe the Author did this because she wants the reader to fill in with their own mind's eye, which is good, I guess. But I like a little more detail so I can fill in the blanks while reading the story.
But the second half of this one was super intense and sweet, so the 3 stars this one was going to get got bumped to 4.
And the Epilogue now has me wanting to dive right into book 3, instead of going back to book 1 first. LOL.. Decisions, decisions.
This is a fantastic story, it’s exciting, fast moving and action filled. Sam and Jax feature in this story. Jax was last seen in book one fighting the Kronock. Sam has been enlisted to rescue him, she was given a choice if either going to prison for a long time (due to her criminal activities!) or becoming an agent for MI6, she decided to go for the Agent option!! I just loved the way that Jax spoke yo,his captors even when he was being dragged to the torture room! Loved this story and how slowly, but surely, Jax and Sam begun to respect each other. Also loved the way another gatorzoid was introduced into the series. Fabulous story.
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC and this is my review.
I loved book one and book two is just as awesome as the first One. Jax and Samaira story is just so perfectly designed, that we can't stop reading. Jax just wants to be a soldier and keep living the life on the edge. He did not want a human mate but fate has her own way of doing things and I Guess She likes a challenge! Absolutly delicious! A must read.
I almost skipped this book. The first one irritated me and I did not like Jax. He constantly talked with his friend about screwing hookers and sometimes more than one at a time. Yuck! Major turn off. I came in thinking Samaira was already too good for him. However, I like this author so made myself give it a try.
When Jax started thinking about hookers, I started to get disgusted but then we learn at one time he did want a tribute bride.
"I’d imagined the nights we’d spend together in our fantasy suite and how I would adore her, giving up empty encounters with alien pleasurers in exchange for the devotion of my one mate."
This made me forgive him- especially when we find out she broke his heart.
"According to the handlers on the Boat, she’d had one of the worst reactions they’d ever seen and had refused to entertain the possibility of a Drexian mate".
He was set up with a bride when the women were still being forced and didn't volunteer so you couldn't really blame the woman.
Eventually, I fell in love with Jax. I loved Sam from the get go. She was smart, brave, and did not put up with Jax is sh!t. Story had good action, pace, and character build up. Can't wait for next book.

Now it's time for the Inferno Warriors who aren't looking for a bride to spar off against earth women. Warrior alpha aliens whose lives are spent keeping the peace but for some it is in the front lines fighting an enemy who destroys worlds. Earth doesn’t know aliens exist except for the government. A deal was made, and women are given in exchange for protection. This fun tale sees women and warriors come together to build a new space station that is supposed to be a fantasy place. There is much laughter and action to keep you occupied whilst enjoying this read. Journey along as they learn to navigate a union together with lots of action in fighting the bad guys. I look forward to reading the rest of this sci fi romance series.
Sam agreed to help break Jax out of an enemy's jail, and goes the adventure of her life. The story is entertaining and filled with action and adventure. I can't wait for more from this author. I received this book 📚, as a FREE ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
Inferno Force of the Drexian Warriors is a spin-off from the Tribute Bride series, and picks up where that series left off, Drexians are large muscled humanoid aliens with bronze skin who’ve spent their lives battling the enemy aliens called the Kronock. There had been a secret treaty with Earth for the past 30 years where the Drexians have been granted permission to abduct human females in exchange for protection against the Kronock. However, things have changed in this spinoff, and now Earth is very much aware of aliens and offer volunteer brides instead of abductions. This series begins with the Drexians building a secondary space station similar to “The Loveboat” called “Fantasy Island” where they are mated (married) to their Drexian warriors. The war with the Kronock is still ongoing.
Written in first person perspective, Scorch is book 2 in this series and follows Drexian Jaxton and his human mate Samaira (aka Sam). We met Jaxton in the last book as the Inferno Force warrior that saved Kalex’s life and got caught by the Kronock as a result. Sam is a professional thief from Earth who was given a choice: help the Drexians save Kalex or spend the rest of her life in prison after she was busted for a theft. Her skill set made her perfect for a rescue mission without getting noticed. They run into issues after she busted him out that killed every other Drexian on the mission and crash landed them on a Kronock prison moon. They wind up freeing the prisoners and getting rescued, but not before falling in love and having sex.
Like all the other books, this couple have their ups and downs, back and forths. She fights the claiming, then he fights the claiming. She fights her feelings and he is a typical male idiot that makes poor decisions. One forgives the other way too easily, then things work out in their favor and they live happily ever after.
I might need therapy, but that’s what books are for, right? Lol
I recommend this series so far. Tara Stone is a creative author and I prefer the first person perspective. The series is much better if you read the Tribute Bride series first so you know the history and what’s going on. I look forward to the next book in the series.
4/5 Dual POVs; Jaxon(Jax) and Samaira(Sam) Medium length read Story is set post Tribute Bride series. Post “The Big Reveal,” where Earth finds out about Aliens and their brides history.
Medium angst alert! 🚨🚨 😩 Very realistic emotional turmoil. Both have their inner demons and past traumas that shaped them the way they are today.
What’s beautiful is how they look past their insecurities and work things out. Realizing they’re the best thing that happened to each other and the connection they share even though they’ve only met for a short time. 👍🏻👍🏻
Attraction at first sight 👁👄👁 Smex happens at 75%ish of the book. Happy ending 👍🏻
Neither are virgins No other woman/man. No cheating. Only mention of past tribute bride who had rejected Jax before meeting him.
Heroine is very likable! Open minded, intelligent, sassy and independent. She’s not your typical human woman who lands on alien territory and still pulls the “human beings have rights!” BS regardless of situation. Basically she’s not entitled. 😂
Unlike the Tribute Brides series, Samaira is not a tribute bride volunteer.
It would be nice if there’s a heroine who is from a 3rd world country where these “rights” that most heroines in this genre have not experienced. 🧐
Hero is….well your everyday Drexian that breaths Honor. 😂 He’s a man of integrity and honestly if you think about it, every Drexian can be a carbon copy of each other lol Difference is the trauma that shaped them.
Would I re-read? It’s a good read, once is enough.
I do recommend it!
-1 ⭐️ (for me) One-thrust-well-endorsed-alien-cock-into-vagina-in-one-go. 🤦♀️ that’s gonna rip the vaginal opening regardless of how “wet” she is.
Granted this is a work of fiction and someone’s fantasy, but it still made me cringe lol
Sam, a criminal from Earth is given a choice; go to prison or break into the Kronok battleship and rescue a Drexian hostage being tortured. Jax is a male who has hardened his heart to human females and is less than pleased to be rescued by one. Crash landing after their escape, on a hot and humid jungle moon, they await rescue.
I love the reluctance between the Sam and Jax, not wanting to rely on one another due to past hurts on both sides. The tension between the two and the intimate scenes after their final capitulation were exciting to read.
I felt at home with Sam’s language reading this book, as some of the slang is also commonly used in Australia. I laughed hard in one example of this, when she admitted she was a wanker for not listening to a lecture on Drexian technology. Another aspect of this book which pleased me was the jungle type moon. I have a soft spot for jungle planets, but to also cross over into a prison planet scenario (another current favourite of mine), got my happy feet moving. Two loves, one book = happy reader. I personally wished for a bit more action and time in the prison sector, as I felt the time spent on the jungle moon could have had a little more intrigue. However, I still enjoyed what was presented. I am extremely pleased that the males in this series appreciate a strong woman with a take no BS attitude, who also challenges them.
I rated this book 4 stars. Honestly. Congratulations on another fantastic read Tana. Binge reading this series has been so easy, haven’t needing a break once. Onto book 3!

SCORCH: A Sci-Fi Alien Warrior Romance and book two of the Inferno Force of the Drexian Warriors by Tana Stone is another hit in her new spinoff series. This time readers meet characters Samaira (a career thief) and Jaxon (Inferno Force warrior and prisoner of the Kronock). Samaira or Sam as she prefers has been brought to the Island to help rescue Jaxon. She’s not military, but she is a thief and is very good at stealing things. She even succeeds in “stealing” Jaxon from the Kronock spaceship prison; however, that’s when the plot gets interesting. During their escape, they are shot down, they crash land on a black moon (which is nothing more than a Kronock prison planet), meet another prisoner who has escaped, and he tells of the hundreds more aliens incarcerated underground by the Kronock. Jaxon’s honor will not let him leave these captives behind. So begins another dangerous venture on top of the one in which Samaira and Jaxon are involved. Amid the hazards of this toxic moon, the two fight their burgeoning love for different reasons—Jaxon because he was hurt previously when rejected by a human female and Samaira because she did not want to lose another loved one due to her dangerous job. It was better to be alone, or so they both thought, but life has a way of changing assumptions. Through all the twists and turns, we do have an HEA, and Stone has another winning story.
🔥 “You’re mine. No other Drexian can have you.” ~~~ Samaira is a thief. And after everything she’s been through, now she works alone. I loved her bravery, stubbornness and feistiness. And she has such a good heart. She’s awesome and I adored her.
Jax has been captured by the Kronock. I loved his strength to endure the captivity and torture. And his loyalty and trust towards his fellow Inferno Force warriors was so admirable. He’s one amazing male - protective, honorable, confident and possessive. I loved everything about him!
I absolutely loved the development of their relationship. Both had been hurt in the past in one way or another and now had to learn to trust and rely on each other in dangerous situations. But when they finally gave into their feelings, the passion they shared was so hot! Their chemistry was amazing and they were absolutely perfect for each other. And after everything they’ve been through, they more than deserved to find love and happiness with each other.
Overall, the story is another magnificent addition to the series. It’s filled with fast-paced action, danger, deadly missions, steamy romance and wonderful characters.
I couldn’t put it down and loved every page of it!
And I cannot wait to see what happens next! ~ I received an advance copy of this book and I’m more than happy to leave a review.
This very talented author has once again written a really entertaining, Sci-Fi alien romance that absolutely caught my attention within the first few pages and kept until the end. (It can be read as a standalone even though it is the second book in the “Inferno Forces of the Drexian Warriors” series) The storyline flowed smoothly throughout a well-paced plot & has good world building with well-described intriguing situations. The characters (a career thief/cat burglar, Samaira) & (an Inferno Force warrior, Jaxon) are likable with well-developed personalities and they portray realistic reactions to the unconventional circumstances they somehow find themselves in. (In particular, I was quite amused at the way they reacted when they came into contact with each other) There is: evil Kronock aliens, Drexian Inferno Force Warriors, a space ship prison, captivity, torture, a deadly rescue mission, adventure, action, intrigue, suspense, twists & turns, ultimatums, anger, suspicions, danger, threats, complications, life-threatening incidents, violence, conflict, compromises, love, some steamy scenes, & a well-deserved, satisfying epilogue with a interesting ending that could be paving the way for the next book in this series. I enjoyed reading this Sci-Fi romance & would definitely recommend it.
I enjoyed Jax and Sam’s fated mates, opposites attract, enemies to lovers, forced proximity romance. Jax is a Drexian Inferno Force warrior who is the chief security officer on a space station under construction. He is not a fan of human women. While on a routine security patrol, he is sucked through a rift in space and is captured by the Kronocks, the Drexian’s sworn enemy. Sam is a human who was recruited by MI-6 and is also a professional thief, a vigilante. It was either join the Drexian-human intelligence agency or go to prison. Sam has to infiltrate the Kronock ship and “steal” Jax. Unfortunately, the rescue plan goes awry and they are soon stuck together on a swampy planet. Now they just need to learn to trust each other, stay alive, and hope rescue comes for them. The story was well written and included witty dialogue, three dimensional characters, and an engaging storyline as told through sweet moments, steamy scenes, fighting, dangerous situations, alien physiology and cultures, bad guys, loyal friends, painful pasts, fated mates, coincidences, plot twists, and laughs. I will definitely be reading the next book in the series.
For the second book in the Drexian Warriors series, I have to say I really loved reading this book. As we remembered from the previous book Ignite, Jax had been stranded on the other side of a black hole, when the rift in space closed before he could get away. He had been captured by their enemies the Kronock.
Samaira is a cat burglar who was given two choices, go to jail for the rest of her life or sign up to go on a rescue mission to get Jax back from the Kronock battleship that he was imprisoned on. Jax was being interrogated while being held by the Kronocks. Samaira was able to get Jax out of his prison cell and onto the fighter that she brought to liberate him. But some space junk damaged their cloaking ability and suddenly the Kronock were after them.
Before they knew it they had crash landed on the Kronock black moon which was also a prison planet. The excitement didn’t stop there and they both had challenges that they had to face. There is a lot of chemistry between these two characters and they would be fighting very emotions towards each other but true love wins in the end.
I was given an advanced copy of this book to read and review with my honest and fair opinion.
Samaira (Sam) is a criminal recruited by MI-6 as an alternative to prison and is joining the Drexiansin order to use her unique skills to break in and rescue the captured warrior Jax from the Kronock. Following some success, she ends up on an alien prison moon with just Jax. Although she was successful in breaking him out of the battleship he was a prisoner on he continues to look at her like a piece of dirt but it is not due to her past but his grudge against human females in general. This adds to their problems on the moon which is hot and swampy and therefore needs reduced clothing. Can they both survive until they are rescued so she can never have to see him again - after all he is a gorgeous but annoying alien who she just wants to kiss and do all sorts of things to?
I enjoyed this story which had the classical opposites attract element woven into the dramatic rescue of Jax from the Kronock followed by a crash under fire on their dark moon prison planet. The crash then sparked a need for them to learn to work together as well as trust each other. Eventually, they were unable to resist the chemistry around them. Easy to read and understand. Contains explicit sexual content.
This is another wonderful story in this series which is about Samaira (Sam) a thief and Jaxon (Jax). Sam was caught and given a choice to go to prison or to help with a mission by the Drexians. Sam just arrived to Fantasy Island and is greeted by Serge and Reina who think she is a Tribute Bride. Captain Kalex informs them that she is here for the mission to free Jaxon. When they arrive at his office he warns Sam not to steal onboard his ship and Sam replies "I only steal from bad people." and the bad people were the Kronock's. Sam was given the plans of the Kronock's starship and realizes that it is a death mission. Prepped, Sam goes to save Jaxon. Meanwhile Jax whose ship was disable while trying to go thru the wormhole is capture and tortured by the Kronock. Awaiting the day that his comrades will rescue him. Then Sam shows up and frees him from his cage, will Jax and Sam escape? This is a engaging story with very likable characters, steamy romance, action-filled, and drama that kept me turning the pages in this ARC that I volunteer to read and review.
Jax a member of the inferno force was captured by the Kronoke. The Drexians find a human woman who will risk it all to Sneak into the ship and break him out. Sam is a highly skilled cat burglar turned MI6 agent. She's been offered a choice work with the Drexians and save their man in a dangerous mission of go to prison for the rest of her life. She agrees the mission starts off smoothly but as soon as she enters the enemy ship everything that could go wrong does go wrong. Add to it that Jax is suffering from betrayal and anger from a previous human bride he was less than pleased to see a human woman rescuing him. and thus the adventure really begins they get off the enemy ship only to be chased, crash land on a moon where everything is trying to kill them ,uncover a secret prison , make peace with each other , drive one another crazy and fall helplessly in love with one another! You got to join the adventure because these inferno force warriors are worth the read!🔥💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥💖🔥🔥💖🔥💖🔥🔥🔥💖💖🔥💖🔥💖💖💖🔥💖🔥💖💖💖💖💖💖💖🔥🔥🔥🔥
Samaira was recruited by MI-6 to join an elite human Drexian intelligence team to rescue Jaxon who is imprisoned on a Kronock battleship. She is a professional thief of British Pakistani background who was looking at life in prison before being recruited.
Jax was captured by the Kronock after entering a space rift. He is an Inferno Force Drexian warrior who is heading up the security for the new space station. While captive he is being physically and mentally tortured.
Sam is able to break him out of prison but as they escape their ship is hit and crashes on a Kronock black moon which serves as a subterranean prison. As they try to survive and elude the Kronock they begin to learn about each other and form an attraction. They meet an escaped prisoner and decide to rescue him and the rest of the inmates. They almost die in the process but are eventually rescued by the Drexians and get their HEA.
This is the story of Jaxon and Samaria. “Sam” was brought in to help Jaxon escape a Kronock prison. She’s a cat burglar with skills in electronic locks and such. She frees him and they escape. But the Kronock damage the ship they’re escaping in and it crashes on an alien planet where the Kronock have an underground prison. Always exciting! They work together to navigate the area where they crashed. While on the run they meet Fillian who managed to escape the prison. The story goes on to show us how they develop a relationship of sorts even though Jax is not interested in a relationship with a human. He was supposed to have bonded with a Tribute Bride but she turned him down leaving him with little use for human females. Read on and find out how they worked together. The story is entertaining. There are sexual scenes that may offend some readers. Otherwise, enjoy!
Two wary souls from different planets have scorching chemistry
Samaira is a cat burglar and in exchange for leniency, she's sent to the space station to aid in Jaxson's rescue. Captured and tortured by the Kronock, Jax has no use for human females, especially after his tribute bride spurned him without even meeting him. He's begrudgingly impressed with Sam's skills even if she is a criminal. Used to working alone and avoiding personal connections, she's reluctantly impressed with Jax's honor and unwavering belief in his fellow Drexians. As they fight to escape the Kronock prison planet, they can't fight their sexual attraction even if they aren't sure they can trust each other. When they break out the other aliens held prisoner by the Kronock, the potentially life ending mission causes them to reveal their true feelings. Two broken hearts learn to rely on each other and enjoy scorching chemistry as they fight to get back to the Drexian space station.
How is it that some authors always write stories that I want to give at least 10 stars to when there are only five available? Well, this author certainly is amongst those very few. And I don´t really like SciFi´s that much... ??? But these stories about the Drexian warlords and a few others always make me read through the night and then I pay with migrene but I do just not care about that because it is the story!!!! So overall five stars, as there are no more to give out, and as possibly indicated here above, I loved it, I loved it and I loved it some more. And when is the next one due? I am one of those who can not wait for the next one.
I received this story as an Advanced Readers Copy and am totally delighted to write a review about it.
Ya’ll, we get to go on a rescue mission to save Jax. And we get to go with a professional thief that steals from the rich, I know right, so exciting. Remember Jax was taken in the last book by the Kronock *shudders*. Well Sam, a professional thief, is sent in to steal him back, obviously that doesn’t go quite as planned, and they are on the run, on a prison moon. These two got in some sh*t, this was one wild space adventure from start to finish, and I loved it. So damn good.
Safe read, with so much heat. These two had so much pent up heat, hot, hot. And they also make one heck of a dynamic duo, who snagged my heart. Fantastic storyline, I loved it. Fast paced from the beginning all the way until the end. An epilogue that had me saying, next book please and a hea.
If being captured by the Kronock wasn't bad enough, instead of my elite brothers coming to rescue me they send a human female. She is the last thing I want or need. As a female cat burglar my expertise is needed by the Drexians . unfortunately my options are limited. That or prison on earth. Despite our instant dislike for one another we have to work together if we want to succeed. Everything that could go wrong does go wrong. Emotions run high as we fight for our lives. Chaos, destruction and death is all around us. Through it all though we form a loving foundation that neither one of us saw coming.

This is such an amazing Author and an amazing series. I’m not sure how Tana does it but she’s done it again. This is the second book in the Drexian Warrior series And it’s JAX and Samaria’s story. Fate brings them together when she goes to save him from a Kronock ship. He’s a warrior and she’s a thief given no choice but to save them or she goes to prison. The rescue runs into trouble and they both end up running from the Kronock. It’s a great story that draws you in With the story, action, drama, characters and adventure. It’s a must street story and I can’t wait to read more.
I received a free copy of this book for my honest review and this is my honest review.
Jaxxon had his one and only interaction with a human female, so he’s written them all off. Samaria had a partnership go south once, so she’s a lone wolf in her line of work. A little too all-or-nothing? Yes. Does this make them emotionally stunted? Also yes. Do they ridiculously succumb to their attraction out in the open whilst hiding from the enemy? Yes, yes. But is it worth it to deal with the idiosyncrasies to reach their inevitable HEA or HFN? Also, and most definitely, yes.
Doesn’t matter that Jax was imprisoned by the Kronock and Sam was voluntold to join the rescue team, they’ve got work to do. Four stars.
