When rebel Dom Pavesi is forced to serve the controllers of a machine-run facility, he sets a plan in motion to take down his captors. But to beat the system others have failed to escape, Dom must discard the facility’s rules and invent his own.
Before Warren Hunt’s parents abandoned him to join the rebellion, they spoke of a place called ‘The Beyond’, an area outside of the machines’ control. While others question its existence, Warren believes the location of this mysterious place is hidden somewhere inside the facility.
To find the truth, Warren must look beyond the facility’s tests. But one daring rebel with a hidden agenda could destroy his only chance to succeed.
Don't miss this exciting companion story to the Facility that elaborates on the motives of two of its most dangerous participants. The Rebels is The Facility retold through the eyes of Dom Pavesi and Warren Hunt, and Book 1.5 in the Breeder Files.
Note: The Rebels used to be published as Dissent & Intent. The story is the same, just a different title.
Eliza Green tried her hand at fashion designing, massage, painting, and even ghost hunting, before finding her love of writing. She often wonders if her desire to change the ending of a particular glittery vampire story steered her in that direction (it did). After earning her degree in marketing, Eliza went on to work in everything but marketing, but swears she uses it in everyday life, or so she tells her bank manager.
Born and raised in Dublin, Ireland, she lives there with her sci-fi loving, evil genius best friend. When not working on her next amazing science fiction adventure, you can find her reading, indulging in new food at an amazing restaurant or simply singing along to something with a half decent beat.
DISSENT: I'm not normally a Sci-Fic reader, but I’ve read 8 books now by author Eliza Green. I'm a character reader and Eliza Green really gets into character development and the intrigue in her books. With having read all those books by this author it didn’t take me long to settle into this short story set between books #1 & #2 of the Feeder saga. The problem with short stories is just that, they’re short! Read in the overall expanse of the Feeder saga this short story fleshes out and expands the saga and therefore is more satisfying. No spoilers here though, buy the books, read the books (all of them), review the books, get into a good author I have!

Getting to know Dom and Sheila I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from the publisher and I really enjoyed the book and getting to know the back story of both Dom and Sheila. I really enjoyed reading more about Sheila than I thought I would after I read the other books. Shes the kind of friend everybody needs. My favourite part about her was her initial entrance in the book where her music was loud and she was just lay there listening to it. The only dampener on this book is that I wish it was longer!! Well done Eliza. Another great book!

All about warren I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from the publisher and although I wasn't a fan of Warren, this book was a great read. Sometimes you have to do what it takes to get to where and what you want. Although warren was a bit sly and not a very nice person, I felt sorry for his upbringing and you can kind of see why he is the way he is. Another good read but again I wish it was longer as I really get involved in these books!!
Dissent and Intent accompany Feeder, so be sure to read Feeder before you pick up this box set. In Dissent, Dom and Sheila know more than the other teenagers working their way to the ninth floor due to their connection with the Rebels. Dissent provides information that fleshes out the original Feeder story, especially about the relationship between Dom and Anya. I really enjoyed this story and didn't want it to end. As for Intent, I can't imagine that anyone would like Warren; he's not a very nice person. However, learning his point of view adds depth to the story begun in Feeder. Eliza Green is a great story teller and I think this box set is a great example of her ability to make the characters in her stories come to life as well as creating a story you don't want to end.
Dissent: Wow! I really liked Dom's version. I preferred it to Warren's but I have a feeling both of these stories are VERY important. As with intent, this is not a standalone story. It's a little choppy and if you haven't read Feeder you won't understand what's happening. Intent: I thought it was pretty good. It's definitely not a standalone. if you haven't read Feeder you will be completely lost as to what is going on. It's a little choppy in my opinion with how the story jumps around but not terribly so. Again, if you haven't read Feeder this book won't make sense but it's definitely a good addition to the series.
Lots of action in this one, but what I loved most was the deeper dive into Dom and Warren’s characters and motivations…. Sooo fascinating to see things through their eyes and learning about other secrets along the way!!:-). LOVED THIS ONE AND LOVED THIS SERIES!!:-). I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!:-)
This brought the storyline from the previous books together nicely from the perspective of both the often dastardly Warren, and the gorgeously courageous, if traumatised Dom. Excellent series, I definitely recommend reading.
Knocking off a star is simply my preference in books I like - this one gave an interesting 'rewind' to the story, in that it covered events we have already read about, but from the point of view of different people. I prefer new action, so although there was a lot of interesting stuff to add to this fascinating series, I just prefer new events. However, this was still a fascinating part of the whole world of this series, and if you like this series, this is still a good book to read.
I was expecting something like Ender's Shadow where the same story was told from a different character's perspective, but I guess the characters interacted too closely in this story for that to really work. They were always together, so this book really just gives insight into the boys' moods and thoughts, which were pretty easy to parse out from the first book. Very little new information about their world or even the characters is presented here, and I kind of felt like this book was a waste of the reader's time.
