Throne of a Pharaoh

Rate this book
Ever get reacquainted with someone who made you become the hardened person you are?

PHARAOHShe walked into the room like she owned it, demanding that I pay attention before she even voiced a word. When faced with the brown beauty, I almost forgot my number one Trust No One. It’s something I remind myself daily. We all have an addiction and if I’m not careful, she’ll become mine. I can’t afford any distractions right now, especially when my latest obsession has secrets that can do more harm than good.

GENESISHe has every reason to be uncertain about me and yet, I can’t help but be drawn to him in every way. How he speaks. The way he walks. The fact that all eyes are on him when he’s in their presence. I can’t recall a time in my life when I wasn’t running from something, and not always by choice. I don’t want to crave him like plenty of women already do. He’s a Crowne. We’d never work. So why can’t I seem to remember that fact whenever I’m near him? Please Throne of a Pharaoh is a sexy second-chance love story that contains humor, crime and profanity. For years, these siblings have lived by the code, Know Thy Enemy. However, what seems too good to be true usually is. Some say mafia. They say family. Can they trust their allies and defend the Crowne legacy? Or will they realize that loyalty, love, and honor are luxuries they can't afford?

Wow, I am not sure where to start with Throne of a Pharaoh! One thing I can tell you, without hesitation, it is a damn good installment to this Crowne Legacy series. It is heartwarming, powerful, insightful, and impressionable!

If you are following this series, you are familiar with Pharaoh Crowne, but until now, we only knew he was complicated and more than meets the eye. He was Dutchess' go-to person, and he has a bunch of kids, his business: the streets, and like all the others having secrets and a unique past seems to be the genetic makeup of this family. Pharaoh is the complete package. Even with his illegal dealings, he still has the heart and compassion to serve and protect. Check out the family meeting with his kids. Was this how it started with Dutchess and Stan?

Genesis is not only from his past but left a history of bad blood between them. She is back and about to muddy the waters. Her timing wasn't good, she needs his help, and she can't reveal everything...except that over a decade ago I had your son🤦🏽‍♀️😲 You want to dislike her but, their chemistry is too explosive, and they appear to be a good fit. Remember the name Noble!!!!!

Sherelle Green masterfully built this world with well-researched themes and developed characters that give this series a realistic feel. Catching up with the family is always good, and there are introductions to new characters that answer some questions and helps navigates us to the next installment. If you are not reading this series, you are missing out on a fantastic read.

I am woman enough to admit that I was a hater at the beginning of this series but Ms. Green has proven that I need to put some respect on her name. She really just needed time to cook as the series has gotten better with each book.

From the earlier books in the series we know that Pharaoh is the Crowne sibling that is the face of the “business” in the city. He’s a tough, gritty street dude. He also has like 12 kids and his siblings love to roast him about that fact. When Pharaoh sees Jinx after 16 years sparks fly. But Pharaoh can’t get distracted because the Crowne’s have way too much going on. But their chemistry won’t be denied. Pharaoh & Jinx are 🔥.

The Crowne Legacy is a full on crime series. We learn a lot about the family history in this one. We also learn that Pharaoh is a sexy thug with a big heart. Excited to start the next book.

This one was so funny. The family joked the hell out of Patrons ass. It’s so interesting to see that he has a son that’s just like him. He’s a great father, and that doesn’t take away from his ruthlessness in the streets.

Loved it!!

Here are two people who by all means shouldn't be together but their lives are so intertwined they can't help but see each other past the surface. Pharoah is definitely the glue that holds his family together, but sometimes glue needs a little pressure to make sure things stick together, insert Ginx. You definitely want to get to know them!

This book and the last really helped to tie the storyline together. Who are The Crownes? What is their business? Not only does this book include a beautiful second chance love story, but it also does a lot of work in progressing the overall story.

“With me, Ginx, you can be whoever the hell you want to be.” ... “And I’ll be the nastiest muthafucka I can be for you.”

Pharaoh and Genesis should have never parted ways back on the day. Their chemistry is through the roof and only gets better. When she pops back up in his life he's equal parts surprised and enraged. The games they played were fun and sexy, just like this book. There was a surprising emotional aspect that I didn't expect from Pharaoh but leave it to a Crowne man to surprise me

“I’ll be the reminder that underneath all that strength and reliability, you are a woman with needs and wants. A woman who can be vulnerable, and not look weak. Who can be emotional, and not be concerned that it makes her less than any man."

Ms. Green has a way of grabbing a reader’s attention in the first few sentences. I learned one thing from the beginning: Pharaoh Pierce Crowne is a trip! He’s been running underground organizations since he was ten. Genesis Brooks is a woman on a mission; she’s tough and has been involved in a lot of things.

Ms. Green describes Pharaoh so vividly with his locs, broad shoulders and skin tone as “gingerbread dipped in rich chocolate”. Pharaoh and Genesis have a past but it’s much more than meets the eye. The physical chemistry is off the chain. Ms. Green slowly peels back the onion on Genesis and their connection throughout the story.

I like how Ms. Green developed Pharaoh as a character. Her creativity also shines through with the chapter titles, her categorization of a certain physical act and the double meaning of Throne of a Pharaoh. Pharaoh is a connoisseur of bedroom games.

This book is serious and gritty, but there are doses of comic relief. The thrilling Crowne Legacy continues in Throne of a Pharaoh and I highly recommend it. See complete review at romanceincolor.com

Throne Of A Pharaoh of The Crowne Legacy series Book 5 was better than I had anticipated it would be. But, I'm glad that I listened to it on audible with the incredible Wesleigh Siobhan & Sean Crisden narrating.
Actually, I'm not really a fan of Sean Crisden's voice given his narrating comes off as that of someone who speaks as if they're from the southern parts of the nation.
I will say this about Sean Crisden's narrating: He seemed to had captured the voice of Hollis Crowne perfectly.
That take of DMX (RIP EARL SIMMONS) song "What They Really Want from a N*gga" with the Crowne brothers rapping about all the women Pharaoh had been with changed forever how I listen/view that DMX classic hit!
I thought Pharaoh Pierce Crowne had too many kids to be so young, but as long as each kid wasn't neglected, I was okay with his procreating (& adopting). I didn't really like that he was a drug dealer though. That put me off & changed how I would gain a perspective on the character.
I really don't know what to think about Genesis Jones...
I would need a Book 6 or 7 to really get an opinion on that character as well as that of Pharaoh as well.

Deep

This book was a lot but when I think about it Pharaoh is a lot He was a man whose heart was much bigger than even his family realized. Encountering an ex lover Genesis at one of his brothers weddings was the beginning of an adventure that has so many different layers to it I had to stop and reread a couple of times, just to make sure I was keeping up.

The Chemistry Between Pharaoh and Genesis is undeniable. I couldn’t help but wonder at times if they would ever be able to get beyond things from there past and reunite because it was obvious Pharaoh wanted Genesis in the worst way even though
She had kept way to many secrets from him. In the interest of not giving away the plot , I encourage you to read this book

Sherelle Green I do hope the remaining Crown siblings will have their stories told sometime in the future ❤️

Never judge a book by its cover. Pharoah had a reputation of having 12 kids, but did he? Pharoah was hard but a loving giant. The description of him was sexy.

So much is going on in this book and I enjoyed every minute of it. I enthusiastically await the rest of this crown family saga and hope this isn't the end. I love me some Duchess and loved learning more about her and Stan's backstory including how this family came to be but I think hot gyal Queenie and Hollis are my favorite characters. Every time they stepped in, a chuckle came out of me 😂. That boy Hollis is something else 🤣.

Rating 4.5⭐️ Ayeeee listen at this point just hand me a Crowne ID because I’m clearly outside with the family. I’m rescuing folks, clocking ops, minding legacy business and somehow still catching feelings in between shootouts. This series has me fully immersed and Throne of a Pharaoh kept that energy right where it belongs.

Pharaoh is the definition of controlled danger. Cold, disciplined and ruled by a code that was forged through betrayal. You can tell Genesis is part of the reason he’s built the way he is now which makes their reunion hit harder. The tension between them isn’t loud at first it simmers. Every look, every interaction feels loaded with history, regret and unfinished business. Genesis walking back into his life wasn’t just a distraction it was a test of everything he’s trained himself to survive without.

Genesis she’s not naive she’s very calculated in everything she does. The way she moves I never developed trust for her. Her pull toward Pharaoh feels inevitable not foolish. Still calculated tho. The way their connection never truly died even after time, secrets and separation was handled beautifully. A Pharaoh and an Ankh that connection/bond between them was felt not just mentioned. Love didn’t disappear it just went underground and waited.

Now let’s talk Crowne Legacy chaos because of course there are secrets. At this point if someone walks in honest and pure hearted I’m calling the police. The busload of kids took me out because Pharaoh SIR we’re gonna need a spreadsheet. Learning all 12 kids weren't biologically his added layers instead of softening him in a way that felt unrealistic. He’s still Pharaoh just with a little more shine on his crown.

The world building continues to be top tier. Noble, Christian and Trinity did not feel like background noise at all. This definitely isn’t the last we’ll see of them. The way this series plants seeds without forcing them is one of its strengths.

Overall this book delivered exactly what Crowne Legacy promises second chance love wrapped in danger, loyalty tested by blood and a family that operates like a kingdom with no room for weakness. Pharaoh claimed his throne, reclaimed his woman and reminded us why being a Crowne is both a privilege and a curse. 👀 yes I’m still outside with them.

I can honestly say that Sherelle Green has delivered another amazing installment in the Crowne Legacy series. The genius behind this particular tale is going in readers will think they have Pharaoh’s character figured out only to find out they were waaaayyyyy off and will be hyped and surprised of the depth of this king of a man . This man was so much more than means the eye and the way Sherelle developed this exceptional character was brilliant. And then to make this dark gritty tale a second chance at love story mannnnnnn Green has pulled out all her guns with this one. The chemistry between Pharaoh and Genesis had me needing a ice cold glass of water on standby just to make through the book. I also liked how breadcrumbs were dropped throughout the story to leave the door wide open for generations of Crowne stories to come. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next installment of the Crowne! Job well done Sherelle Green! #Liquorboysdoitbetter #book5 #Patron #Straightshotsnochaser #AfricanRoyalty #PhuckedbyaPharaoh #GobbleitupGenesis #theonlyseatmeantforaqueenisthefaceofaPharaoh #PharaohPussyPleaser

let’s talk about book five because i can’t get enough! seriously, it’s like peeling back layers of candy on Halloween—except this candy has a lot of drama, and you definitely don’t want to miss any of it!
Pharaoh, the one who runs the streets on behalf of the Crowne’s. Pharaoh is just expected, considering he is a Crowne—he’s got compassion, he’s intelligent, and he’s ready to throw down for his family and even has a passion to help uncover trafficking rings! However, he also has more kids than the starting five of a basketball game! But hey, what’s one more kid in the mix, right
after a decade of radio silence, Genesis pops back into the scene, at a family function at that; and she has Noble with her. I’m sure you’ve guessed, Noble, is Pharaoh’s son. now, is she just there to introduce Pharaoh to his son? pfft, please! If you’ve been following along, you know that’s not the case. Girl’s got secrets and, trust me, Pharaoh is in for a real treat (or maybe a trick!). The plot twists are absolutely wild, and I can’t even spoil it all for you! Just know you need to be clutching your seat to keep up. Seriously, there’s so much going on, it’s like trying to juggle three flaming torches while riding a unicycle. So dive in, stay focused, and get ready for the drama.

Pharoah had created his own little army. I did appreciate that he was involved with, took responsibility for, and had his kids understand they were all family no matter their mothers.

I am enjoying the saga of this Chicago family. They don't have purely clean hands, and don't claim to have them. A. True example of family not always being of blood, but of heart.

Pharoah and Genesis' story was full of secrets that when revealed could have easily gone south. I liked Noble. I was glad that Patron and Ginx were able to get their HEA.

I liked that the I was never sure which direction things were going to take. I liked that the Crowne family would take in people struggling, floundering, and gives them a purpose, direction, and a choice.

This book had elements of love, loyalty, family, and sibling bonding. There was violence, danger, intrigue, and suspense. There was also romance and a ton of heat. The narration was very good. I would give this 4.5 stars. On to the next Crowne sibling book!

All the brothers in this series was on point and sexy as all get out. But Mr. Pharaoh, wow, 12 kids, and could keep track. What a man to take some off the streets and claim them as his. In come Noble and his mom Genesis. So many secrets she had, and when you think about so did their son. But in the end everything came together, all the children, cousins, mother and fathers. I really like the way Pharaoh communicated and was honest with his kids.

Great story

This was a good story. I appreciate the actions, that made the book so much interesting. But I were more in tuned to Pharaoh character not so much with Genesis character. I just couldn’t connect with her. I just didn’t feel the chemistry between them even though they had a lot of sex. I were glad to finally meet Pharaoh’s children. Very impressed about how good he treated all his children, great father.
