Faraj is the fifth installment in Brittni Chenelle’s Eleven Wings series, and this addition is sadder than the previous books. So prepare yourself for what is to come.
Faraj’s installment alternates between him and Valerie. Faraj apparently is more of the peacekeeper of the group and I appreciate him for that. In the previous books whenever the rest were essentially plotting/planning against someone else he’d want to be kept out of it. While I wasn’t completely a fan of Irina, I appreciate how Faraj was the one who did what he could for her. He saw her as a friend and not just as another Valkyrie. I had mixed feelings about Valerie in this installment though. She’s letting Ajax mess with things too much. It’s irritating that she makes Jaemin the heavy in the ongoing situation. Yes, Jaemin needs to get a hold of his jealousy and issues, but she needs to also do her part. Stop feeding the drama.
There is quite a bit of drama in this book. The author packs a flurry of emotions into this installment. From loss, to hope, to romance, to anger. Lily is still annoying me along with Ajax. I get why Lily is feeling the way that she is, but since she’s really not contributing on any level I need her to sit down and shut up. Sorry, not sorry. Ajax is a tool. Valerie knows it, but she keeps entertaining him. It’s annoying and add in the fact that Ajax isn’t doing anything to help either? Yeah. I’m team “throw him back in the Nether.” LOL!
Get ready for a shocker of a cliffhanger. It caught me by surprise and, to be expected, I’m eager to find out what happens next. I’m rating this installment 4.5 out of 5 stars. Half a star gets lost because of attitudes and ignorance. If Lily is going to keep wanting to complain about things, she needs to contribute in some way, and being Thorn’s wife isn’t going to cut it. Ajax says he wants trust then he needs to earn it and contribute as well. Valerie should have higher expectations of him and stop letting the drama divide her and Jaemin.
