Lana lives in Perth, Western Australia and loves writing Paranormal/ Fantasy and Sci-fi Romance. When she’s not writing, you’ll find her creating art and designing book covers. She also fights evil by moonlight, wins love by daylight and never runs from a real fight.
Great finale to the series. I have a lot of love for this story and the Lazarus family and I tried to read this last book as slowly as I could because it’s sad to be done with them (maybe some characters will appear in the spin off but they won’t be the main ones anymore so this is the official end of their story). The conclusion was satisfying and touching () and I’m very happy with how it ended and most importantly that the characters had their happy ending.
4 stars because I gave 5 only when I completely loved the main couple of the book and their romance, and that was the case with Greed and Lust for me, with Sloth on their tail. Daisy and Axel were just ok. There were also a couple of moments a bit too cheesy.
Griffin was as always my favorite and his scenes in this were really emotional. Also the epilogue (so beautiful) from his pov was such a gift! I loved it!
Overwhole a really good series and I really needed an enjoyable urban fantasy, it had been a while.
This is a thrilling and epic conclusion to this incredible series! This is Daisy’s turn and she is the genetically modified warrior of the forgotten deadly sin despair. She believes she is bad, a villain persay and struggles with it, Axel is amazing and a great pairing for her as he shows her how good she can be and he is so kind and compassionate with her. There’s a few tears shed as this is the final book but the conclusion was perfect and the author did a fantastic job with it. Action packed, twists and turns and a few surprises thrown our way, this has been on hell of a journey!
Daisy has reunited with her family, but is still tortured by her past. But does someone like her deserve a second chance or a chance at love. Fighting the darkness still within her Daisy will come to terms with the lies feed to her by Julius & learn Axel may just be the hope she needs to help bring her out of her despair.
Daisy & Axel where such a loveable couple. He was everything she needed, his light to her dark. Loved the development of their relationship & the venerability Axel brought out in Daisy. Axel was such a cinnamon roll. Despite having such self doubt Daisy is one kickass heroine who goes out of her way to help those she loves no matter the consequences to herself. She shows even a harden assassin can have a heart of gold.
Sad this is the final book in the series, but love the set up for the stories of the Sinners. This will give you all the feels & reaching for the tissues. Pulls you in making you feel all good, hopeful, while breaking your heart at the same time.
A fitting conclusion to a wonderful series. I have followed this series since the very beginning and have loved each and every book. These are beautifully written, exciting books about genetically modified siblings who being to show superpowers as soon as they meet the person they are destined to be with. The premise is a mixture of sci-fiction and paranormal, but the romance factor remains the main focus of each novel in the series. Despair is the last book and I'm having mixed feelings about this. I'm happy to read the conclusion but also, sad that it's over. Anyhow, I highly recommend these books to readers who enjoy fast-paced, hot, and steamy romance novels with a sci-fi twist. Each novel can be read as a standalone. There is an underlying plot that continues from one book to the other. It has been the most enjoyable journey. Despair aka Daisy Lazarus is no longer the leader she was created to be. She is broken and her instincts are leading her towards violence and revenge. She doesn't think she is worthy of love or even to live. She has done some bad things and doubts she will ever come back from that. But her family believes in her. They are willing to give her a second chance to redeem herself and prove her worth as the eldest Lazarus sibling; a leader. And then, Alex complicates things. He is her mate and the guy is everything that's good. She doesn't know if she will ever feel worthy of his love. But he isn't going anywhere. Alex understands Daisy the way ever she doesn't understand herself. He knows that she can be a better person. She is selfless, brave, and strong. Nothing much scares her and even though, she thinks it is some biological thing; their attraction, he knows that he loves her. Plain and simple. However, their feelings are the least of their worries. The city they all love is under attack and only the Deadly Seven can save them but first, they need to save themselves. It's a thrilling story of a family willing to give everything, sacrifice all they have, for the survival of the world they have claimed as their own. No one will stand in their way as they will fight every monster and overcome every hurdle placed in their path. Ultimately, this is Daisy's story so she remains the main focus but since it's also the series conclusion we see all of our favorite characters working together. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would like to thank the author for a complimentary copy. The review is my personal opinion.
Daisy is back with her family but she doesn’t feel like she fits in. There’s something missing. The author a a way with bringing the characters feelings forward and making you feel them too.
Axel is so optimistic. He always sees the good and is always hoping for the best. He was just what Daisy needed. She opens up to him much faster than any of the others to their mates and so does Axel. His acceptance was right in line with his character.
I’m going to miss the world that Lana built. Her ability to completely immerse the reader in this alternate reality had me devouring this entire series. I’m excited for her other series and the hope that we get to see the deadly seven again.
This was a ride! I was very excited for Daisy's story but i was also a bit preoccupied. I was worried that by the end of it i would love and appreciate Daisy. Well obviously i did. I loved Daisy but most of all i loved the love, kindness and protectiveness the Lazarus family gave without a thought. ' A Lazarus never quits.' I absolutely adored Axel and honestly how perfect he was for Daisy. His caring personality more than anything else was what truly showed how fated he was for Daisy. Because of Daisy's past, i also loved that Axel was a firefighter. From the second he showed up on the page in Pride i knew he had to be the one for Daisy. It was undeniable how smitten he was with her even then. Axel nature slowly brought Daisy little by little back to life and to being hopeful again and i enjoyed every second of them together. Seeing Daisy become a warm person again was very heartwarming and hopeful. I loved that Axel is a cuddler and a hugger like she was once before. I loved their "wild" side when it was time for sexy times. Daisy knew what she wanted and wasn't afraid to get it. I loved Elena, Axel's sister, and the value she brought to the story. I'm glad she living and happy.
Plot points:
Every Deadly Seven was without a mate beside Parker aka Pride. That was hurtful to read. There was so many trying times but seeing Griffin aka Greed go dark was very sad and tug at my heartstrings... I was literally on the edge of my seat reading the part where the mates were rescued and then the floodgates opened once the men arrived on scene. When Parker hugged her, it was my undoing. The man came far so seeing all of them being all grown up and appreciate what they had brought me tears of joy. 🥹
The sacrifice Mary and Flint made... Just writing about it makes me emotional. I WAS NOT okay during that part. At all. I knew that once she was there , there was nothing that would change her mind and i loved how both she and Flint made the decision together. Their love was epic in their own way and the love they had for the 8 siblings just cemented even more. They went to a better place and they still lived happily ever after. 🥹
Griffin came back and what an emotional scene it was. The ferocious hug he gave Daisy was everything and more.
Ya'll when everyone reunited again in the Lazarus home was everything. Mary and Flint left a little something to every Lazarus and what a beautiful way to end this series. Parker started by clapping and apparently that was my cue cause my tears started flowing again. Then everyone mimic Parker and it was just a wholesome moment. Mary and Flint with those letters were so right... They knew so well who each of them were and it just hammered that home even more for me.
I love the new normal all of them now have but i can't wait for the spin-off and see what time of cameos they are gonna make. I loved this book so much! I just love a good villain redemption arc! 😌 I can't wait to do a reread listening to the audiobook once it comes out.

I’m sad now that I’ve finished this series but I’m a bit rereader so I can read them in order.
This is Daisy’s book. She has had the most growth and changes. She started out as kind of a “lieutenant’ for the evil genius, insane villain and we knew nothing about her. Then we learned she was the oldest sibling who was presumed dead but she was just as evil and as much a villain as the main villain. She had no feelings and was as cold as they come. Then we started getting glimpses that maybe she wasn’t as evil as we thought. All this time her siblings wanted her back despite what she did. She was family. They finally got her back at the end of Pride. This is her redemption story. And Ms. Pecherczyk has done a very good job of it, just as she did with Pride.
Axel, a firefighter, is her mate. What is interesting is for a while he was a Faithful, a large contingent of humans who were ready to die for a chance to be regenerated. It’s explained throughout the books. But he defected when he saw how Daisy was being treated. He’s a good hero but takes a backseat to Daisy.
As a wrap up to all the Deadly now Eight this is satisfying but it wish it didn’t have to end. This wasn’t my favourite or even second or third favourite. My first was Pride and then Greed. But as a whole I give the series a well deserved 5 stars and two enthusiastic thumbs up 👍👍.
Where do I even begin?! I've read every book in this series - including the prequel novella - and I have to say that this series finale was perfection in every way. Even when it made me cry so hard that I had to put the book down and grab tissues, it was perfect.
We have watched The Deadly Seven try and defeat Julius and The Syndicate throughout the first seven books. Each of the siblings finds their perfect mate which unleashes superpowers they didn't know they had. In the course of these two big events, they end up discovering that a sister they thought was long dead is still alive and working for Julius. They are determined to bring her home, convinced that she is not purely evil and that she belongs with her family.
Despair is her story. Daisy has believed for years that her family knew she was alive and simply abandoned her. But everything changes when she begins to learn the truth. To make matters even more complex, she meets her perfect mate in Alex, a man who never gives up hope even in the face of the direst circumstances. Will Daisy open herself up to love, both from her family and from Alex? Can she find her place within the family? Does she even want to?
This was a bittersweet read for me. So many characters I have grown to love over the course of the series and it has all come to an end. But it was the ending that the series needed, most definitely. (And rumor has it there is a spin-off series coming!)
I'm so sad this series is finished but wow what a way to end it! I love Daisy and Axel's relationship, he is perfect for her and just what she needs. Daisy's fight of feeling worthy of her family and Axel is hard to read in the best way but Axel's love and belief in her is everything. As she battles her own demons Julius people are causing trouble all over town and Julius is starting something they can't let happen. This book is action packed with heart stopping moments. You won't want to put it down! Lana has outdone herself
Loved this final book of a very addictive and fantastic series. This book literally took me through so many emotions! Happiness, sadness, laughed and cried. Daisy definitely worked hard for her HEA.
If you enjoy strong FMC’s who love whole souled, will do everything they believe they can, then push through their own mental barriers to come out stronger in the end then this is definitely the book for you. Daisy definitely ended up with her perfect match.
Join the journey and witness the spectacular ending to this addictive series.
Since I first found the Deadly Seven Series, I have been waiting for Daisy’s story. Boy did Lana deliver.
Despair picks up right where Pride ended. Among the chaos surrounding the city and the deadly seven, Daisy has to come to terms with where she is and who is surrounding her. She has to learn to trust her real family even though she has been taught her whole childhood to hate them. She also has to learn to trust herself and the good that she carries. Daisy has a hard exterior because she had to be hard, but inside she has this innocence about there that melted my heart. Ultimately she wanted to love and be loved and watching her discover and navigate that desire was heartwarming to watch.
Of course, it was made easier by Axel who was a great pairing to Daisy. He was the hope to her despair, and I loved watching him cheer and support Daisy throughout her journey. Yes he is younger than Daisy (by 10 years) but his life experience lent him the knowledge and maturity to be the support that Daisy was in need for. The spice was the right amount of emotional and intimate, and never took away from the overall plot and character development. They dynamic between the two of them was both innocent and spicy, and I loved every second.
I cannot say enough good things about this series. Despair was the perfect ending to a fun, sexy, and unique series. I am sad to see this chapter come to an end, but I’m excited to see where Lana takes this world next!
I’ve read every book of The Deadly Seven series, and I’m sad it’s over but OMG! What a fantastic way to spend the little free time I have every night before bed. This was amazing in so many ways I’m afraid I won’t do it justice with my review but I’ll try my best. The perfect cocktail in each book. A perfect mix of superheroes, villains, love, action, twists, passion, loyalty, and so much more. An emotional rollercoaster that leaves you wanting more. It pulls you in like a magnet for reading more. I Loved all of it!!! I can see it as a movie series, too. HEA is my favorite type. No cliffhangers that makes you pull your hair out waiting on the next book to be released. On to my next adventurous read now. 🙂
OMG! This last installment of the Deadly Seven is A-mazing! Much more than I thought would happen, happened. It had me crying at the end, but happy as well. The action, suspense, and danger are intense. The love is steamy and electrifying. Fan of the Seven or not, this is a definite TBR for the summer. You can’t go wrong with this highy recommended tale. I received a free copy of this book for an honest review
I really didn't know what to expect knowing that Despair's book was the last book of this series. I'm glad it clued up some many things ( not giving any spoilers here)....go read the book , matter of fact if you haven't read the books before this one then I highly recommend you do you won't regret it. First of all I'm am glad of the reunion's yep there's more then one. Lana sure did deliver one heck of an emotional rollercoaster, lol not cool but loved it all just the same. Warning you might like what's coming but it had its purpose it leads to a happy and not so happy endings whatever way you look at it. All in all Despair was one fantastic read ....Lana you Delivered a Super read like always.
While I hate to see the end of The Deadly Seven series, I loved how Lana wrapped it up. I’ve been waiting for Despair’s story and it was better than I could imagine. My emotions were all over the place as Despair found her footing in her own life without the destructive influence of Julius. She struggled through her past toward a better future. A future that might include her old family as well as the possibility of a new family with her mate, Alex Alvares and his sister. Despair was an exciting and emotional read that I’ll read over an over again.
Wow! What a series and what an ending. It's always hard to see a great story end. This however was a perfect way to do it. The story was superb and the action was heart stopping and page turning excitement. The twists and turns and even a few tears brought this to its epic conclusion. Thank you Lana for this fantastic adventure. I can hardly wait for another to begin.
I loved this series so much, and like all good books, I’m sad to read the last page because I know it’s the end. I did love the epilogue. Maybe a spin off with the kids? That would be fun.
Keep your book boyfriends. Axel is my book husband.
This was SUCH a perfect ending to the Deadly Seven.
I loved being able to be in Daisy’s head, and understanding what’s she been through and her struggles. The love from her siblings, after all this time and everything they’ve been through. So refreshing.
Honestly though, Axel stole the show. He’s the PERFECT mate for Daisy. Kind, compassionate, and dedicated to her. She believes she’s bad, but he reminds and shows her she’s good.
Without dropping spoilers… there was a death(ish?) that will crush you. Keep tissues close by. Totally unexpected.
I don’t want to say goodbye to D7. But at least this goodbye won’t leave me hanging.
This series really went out with a bang!! Daisy's story was by far my favourite of all the Deadly Seven. The author has been building up to her redemption throughout the series, and the payoff is everything I wanted it to be. Daisy's angst, anguish, feelings of hopelessness and being out of place are so heart-wrenching (I'm not ashamed to admit that this book made me cry like a baby!!!), and her growth through her burgeoning relationships with her family and her endlessly compassionate mate, Axel, are really well-written.
This was an incredibly strong end to a series I know I'll be coming back to.
Can't believe it had come to an end. After keeping up with all the books from the beginning this one made me cry. Lana tou have done an excellent job with the series and cant wait for next just such a shame its finished.
In this book, the Deadly 7 superheroes will grab your emotions so be prepared for some tears, some smiles, and the series's ending. We have watched these superheroes fight to find Daisy while protecting the city from evil. Each of the deadly 7 had their own sins to overcome while finding someone to keep them balanced. Now Daisy will have to fight her own Despair to find her way back to her family and to excepting Alex as her balance. After everything she has been through she deserves someone like Alex. No matter what has to happen in the end, Daisy's story is a fantastic ending to the series. I have enjoyed the way this series was written, there is a good balance of fighting the evil, family relationships, and romance. It's superheroes with some spicy heat. This series is best read in order.
This book! Wow! What an amazing ending to this great series ❤️
Be prepared for everything: heartbroken moments, you will cry a lot so have a big tissue box available; brotherly love, either is Axel and Elena or Daisy and her brothers we get to feel how much they care and love each other; intense and passionate feelings between Daisy and Axel, prepare yourself for some hot moments 🔥😜 and least but not last we have this great and huge love parents have for their children ❤️❤️❤️ It was such and emotional ride this book, you will be left shaking.
Thank you Lana for the ARC and for this awesome series. Can't wait to read your next books ❤️
Thoroughly enjoyed this final book in this series! Very satisfied with the choices made to conclude this. So many memorable scenes! Axel and Daisy finding their way to each other. The touching relationships between siblings! The emotional heartbreaks facing potential losses of loved ones! Adult content isn’t on my list of must haves so I am forever grateful for this authors ability to not make it front and center constantly. It’s such a bittersweet moment when it’s the final book. All my reviews are always voluntarily written.
Daisy. Despair. The 8th in the Deadly Seven. She was raised by a madman and made to feel abandoned by her family. She’s made progress and battles the demons of that upbringing. Her mate, Axel, is there to balance her without him knowing the full story to start. Daisy’s the key to stopping it all. Without giving away spoilers, this story definitely tugged at the heartstrings. Family. First.
Wow, how am I suppose to put into words after reading this amazing book! From start to finish, it was an emotional rollercoaster and epic thrill ride. Daisy was a bad a$$ heroine and she deserved everything because she overcame so much. And, Axel, he is just the man she needs....he is just there when she needs him and never gives up, we all could use an Axel *swoon*. Now this story was beautifully written, we get romance, action and adventure while also experiencing the feels on a whole other level....keep tissues handy. We also get....Ha! You thought I was gonna say it didn't you, nope you have to read it *devil smile*. But I will say it is sad that this was the last book to the series but what a book to end with. Definitely a must read!!
I'm feeling gutted and uplifted at the same time....guess that is fitting with the title. Ever book in this series has been so good that I couldn't put it down!!! Well written, and completely engaging.
This book was wonderful! Daisy’s & Axel’s story was a great ending to one series that hints into the next series. This will have you on an emotional roller coaster of love, heartache, joy, family drama and sooo much more. Please ensure you have a box of Kleenex’s on hand, you’ll need them! I could NOT put this book down! Reading this as well as all of her other books will pull you in with her awesome writing skills and story building. She has a unique way of creating something original!
Enjoy!
I would also like to thank you Lana for the opportunity to read this in advance! Keep up the great work and don’t forget to take time for yourself as well!
Wow! This book had all the feels. I loved Daisy and Axel. The characters are so good! This was an amazing emotional journey. It was such an awesome read and ended the Deadly Seven series perfectly. So worth the read!
I have such mixed feelings about this book. This series has been one of my favorites since I discovered Lana Pecherczyk's books. I am so sad that the series has come to a close, but that ending was perfect for the series, even if it left me rather broken. I cried some very ugly tears many times while reading this book. So many feels have been had.
I love the paring of Daisy & Axel, Daisy has been through so much in her lifetime because of what Julius had put her through. She hadn't felt love & affection since she was a little girl, & seeing her grow into the herself in this book was amazing. Axel is perfect for her, & he definitely helps make for a very hot book!
I am so sad for this series to end but I cannot wait to see where Lana's books go next.
I voluntarily read and ARC of this book and it is an epic action packed ending to a truly awesome series. It made me laugh, it made me cry and Daisy got the ending that she had been due for a long long time. We get to see all of our favourite heroes back again doing what they do best - kicking arse, and you can't help falling in love with this deadly family even more that you have during the pervious books. It is about family and the strength that comes from being able to lean on them, as Mary would say "Family First". I can't wait for Lana's next series.
