What a ride! Perfect Grump brings the heat with a lovably imperfect hero, lots of laughs, and so much enemies-to-lovers steam you might need to wipe down your screen. Nick Brandt and Reese Halle are polar opposites forced into close proximity when she's hired on as a company driver. But the headstrong lady who thinks she's been cursed with the worst boss ever starts to see another side when a crazy tragedy strikes and Nick steps in to save the day. I liked the premise a lot -- the heroine is a driver for the hero's company with tactical driving experience and a plan to save up and start her own business someday. She's close with her sister and her niece and does her best to take care of them. Her perspective is amusing, and the way she interacts with the hero, especially early in the book, was fun.
The first 25% is entertaining and witty enough, but then there's an awful lot of middle that I tried to read and then skimmed through the end. The book veers from a semi-office romance into drugs and organized crime (via the heroine's sister), and the romantic tension fell apart for a while.
Just didn't hang together for me.

Good....found myself skipping over the sex scenes to see how the conflict would work out haha. But I have to say it was too long. Could have been shorter.

There were several things I liked about this book. Firstly the profession of the female protagonist. Female chauffeurs aren't that common and to make it the profession of the lead was bold. It reversed the usual dynamic of male driver/female passenger. I loved the grandmother character - I wanted her to be my granny. Sadly, that was where the good kind of ended for me. Ultimately I felt this book didn't really deliver on the promise of its title. Nick isn't a 'grump', he's your classic roguish, billionaire playboy. There was some effort to make him a grump by inserting a couple of bizarre mood swings into his character trajectory, but it just made him seem confused and under-developed. The female lead had similar problems, the most interesting thing about her was her job. The story seemed to quickly forget that she was supposed to be a capable, independent, highly paid driver and turned her into a classic damsel in distress. The side plot with the drugs and the psycho exes and the cute kid felt very contrived and only progressed due to the characters occasionally making unrealistically stupid and illogical decisions (and not the I'm so in love and can't think straight kind of stupid. This is the bad kind of stupid). Overall, a bit disappointing

Perfect Grump by Nicole Snow is a steamy, funny, and emotional story and is the third book in her Bad Chicago Bosses series, but can easily be read as a stand-alone book.
Reese has finally found a job that she loves and pays her bills with some money left over to help her sister Abby, and her niece Millie. She is a driver for Brandt Ideas and drives the CEO, Beatrice Brandt, and her two grandsons who also run the company with her, Ward, and Nicholas around Chicago to their various meetings and events.
Ward and Beatrice are easy to drive around, but Nicholas thinks she’s a man and is continuously chatting with her as if she’s one of the guys. Also, Reese’s sister Abby is in some deep trouble and is in jail, leaving Reese to care for her four-year-old niece, Millie. Nick eventually finds out that Reese is a woman, and then discovers her troubles with her sister and her niece and he helps her out.
Perfect Grump is steamy, sexy, fun, and a fast-paced story. It’s also a heartwarming story, as I felt the inner struggles of these characters and cared about them so much. I was pulled into the story from the first page and the action didn’t stop until the end of the book. It is more than a mere enemies-to-lovers story, it’s about two lonely souls who need each other, but first need to get out of their own way, so they can realize that they are worthwhile.
I recommend this book to anyone who loves a steamy, and hilarious romance. I received a complimentary copy of this book. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

All my favorite tropes rolled into one roller coaster ride of a story. This forbidden office romance will deliver an enemies to lovers, slow burn love story with elements of suspense. You are going to love it.
When they first met, Nick mistakenly thought she was a man. Being oblivious was kind of Nick's M.O. since he was too busy being chatty and not really paying her much attention. The night he realizes his grave mistake, everything changes. Reese may be his company's driver, but it won't be long before she becomes so much more.
She can't stand Nick, but he is persistent in his need for her to forgive his stupidity and to respond to his advances. She's all about keeping things professional until life's circumstances leaves her leaning on her billionaire boss for more than just moral support.
This was a journey. From enemies-to friends-to lovers and forever. The story takes us on a ride as their working relationship grows into a desire for a happily ever after. Being a billionaire is not without it's baggage. Nick constantly battles a past he is not proud of, as he works to become a man that Reese deserves. Reese has had to fight her whole life to succeed and chase her dream. No man is going to de-rail her. But an unexpected event leaves her reeling and finally realizing that she is not an island. It's her turn to lean on someone else and ask for help.
Another great read by the author. So much emotion and drama packed into this hot and sexy romance. Enjoy!

I was worried for a bit but the story pulled through... Nick was a bit dense but got his crap together in the end.

I am usually a huge fan of enemies-to-lovers romances, but I didn't connect with Reese and Nick. The story moved really slowly even with the time jumps and it was heavy on plot, light on romance, and leaning more towards frustration than angst when these two characters don't click. Reese comes off really cold and uptight, and Nick swings from carefree, joking playboy to cold, grump too many times in this story for me to figure out who he is. Nick's attraction to Reese physically also seems to be the only reason he likes her as she is pretty dismissive of him, even when he's bending over backwards trying to help her. Reese's sister Abby is also super frustrating. The only supporting character of any interest was Millie, the four-year-old. I really wanted to like this one, but I think I'm realizing having a grump without a counterbalancing sunshine makes the romance too heavy to enjoy as a romance.

Whole series is juvenile but this is the worst one.
This author needs to know the meaning of her favorite overused words. A smirk is NOT a nice or cute smile.Giggles are for teens, not adult women . Her winks are tiresome, attempts at humor fall flat and overused f-bombs are just plain wrong in this setting. All the angsty thoughts and dilemmas sound more like young teens, not billionaires. Best thing about the book is the cover.

Nicole never misses the opportunity to knock my socks off with her writing.
She did it again with Perfect Grump.
I loved the build up to Nick's and Reese's relationship. Really enjoyed how Reese busted Nick's balls when he was fucking up. Just a great couple all the way around.

The way they meet is cute and love some of the banter, but the chemistry is just off a bit for me... maybe it's just me.

Steamy story where younger brother matures to be a real man for their chauffeur. F/M romance.
So fun: the beginning of this book runs concurrently with BOSSY GRUMP where Ward “Warden” Brandt meets Paige Holly and love ensues. Rather than a fake relationship as in BOSSY GRUMP, Ward’s brother Nick who believes himself to be irreparable takes Reese and her niece Millie under his wing and holds them tight to keep them safe. This is a Rom-Com which is hilarious at times and poignant at others. The cover is perfect for the PERFECT GRUMP. Another thing I enjoyed was the mention of so many characters or places from other books by Ms. Snow: Enguard, Sweeter Grind, Milah, Magnus Heron and Sabrina. Probably more, but these I took note of. The end is gloriously chaotic like much of the book.
When Reese’s older sister Abby gets herself in some very bad trouble, 25yo Reese becomes sole caregiver to mischievous and precocious Millie. Reese has been the chauffeur for the Brandt clan so how was this going to work? What 31yo Nick does for her while thinking he’s just being a good employer, will touch you. They have such magnetism that even when they’re fighting, it is swexy. Beyond that, more hilarity occurs when he comes out of his drunken stupor and finds that Halle is not a young man, but a petite woman…and HOT! There wouldn’t be much of a story without a “villain” and this book has TWO. I really can’t say enough great things about this book. It’s humorous, angsty, VERY steamy and there are ups-and-downs. The epilogue was interesting since we’re introduced to an entirely new character at the end of the book. Is this forshadowing for Ms. Snow’s next book? I personally would like to have a story about Roland Osprey. He was hateful in any other book where he played a part, but showed some redeemable characteristics in this one. Can somebody tame his meanness?

Reese is the personal driver for Brandt Ideas. It's an awesome job and the pay is amazing. Driving the renowned artist Beatrice Brandt is a dream come true. Driving her grandsons Ward and Nick is okay too. Ward is quiet so there's no idle chatter. But Nick? He's loud, in your face, self absorbed and incredibly sexy. Don't get me wrong, Ward is sexy in his own growly way, but there's just something about Nick. Too bad he hasn't a clue. For Reese, working as a chauffeur has it's perks. You get to meet all kinds of people and the downtime is always a plus. Ward is an early riser and Nick is a night owl, so that leaves little time for sleep and less time spent thinking about Nick.
What was once a disaster is now a smooth working relationship. Reese still admires Nick's impeccable good looks and humor, she just keeps it professional. He's her boss. It's okay to look, maybe joke and flirt a little, but that's the extent of it.
Nick's all about the flirting, but he wouldn't mind getting to know the real Reese. Nick has a wild past that tends to follow him and no matter how hard he tries to shake it, it continually comes back to haunt him. When an opportunity arises, Nick takes his chance. Could this be the start of something beautiful or the beginning of the end?

Honestly I’m quite disappointed.
I felt this book was too long, too predictable and too boring. I really don’t want the author to hate me and I don’t want to lash out but I ended up skipping the pages of this one.
I loved Millie and the way Nick the Prick became the Quick Nick, as well as having a female driver and Nick mistaking her for a man for a while, however, the rest? Nope, not my cup of tea.
Maybe it’s my fault. Maybe I’ve read too many dark romances lately, and this was quite innocent (if you call loosing virginity in the back of a car- innocent 😂). But I did end up scrolling through the pages, rushing to get this over with.
You might like it better than me though, so please don’t get discouraged!

Nick and Reece are phenomenal! These two had me giggling from the very beginning but the depth of their story literally melted me. He's a little lost and floating through life creating a bad reputation for himself. She's everyone's mountain of strength. When a serious situation occurs to tilt both of their lives they find in each other what they expected.
Nicole Snow never ceases to amaze and introduces characters and a story that sticks like glue!

The series is like a roller coaster, the first one was nearly ok, the second one was almost good, and now this one is... not good.
Nick and Reese were in the second one, so you already got a quippy version of their history/writing on the wall on them getting together. For some TERRIBLE reason, we're forced to watch the sausage get made.
It restarts from meeting for the first time. And drags on and on and on. To the point where even if you haven't read the second one, you're gonna feel bored. Gives you a couple false starts, and then when you're finally at "the present" you realize...
Both Nick and Reese are REALLY boring. They're not dynamic characters. You've seen them as background characters in the other book, and well. They should have stayed there.They're flat. The drama/conflict also falls flat because the characters are.
You're gonna skim, but not even skimming is going to get you to the end fast enough.
If they got together in second one as cute secondary plotline, versus having their own book... It would have saved me from being frustrating levels of bored.
I now know what happens when the mediocre secondary characters get their own book, so I'm done. Nope.

Both Nick and Reese are REALLY boring. They're not dynamic characters. You've seen them as background characters in the other book, and well. They should have stayed there.They're flat. The drama/conflict also falls flat because the characters are.
You're gonna skim, but not even skimming is going to get you to the end fast enough.
If they got together in second one as cute secondary plotline, versus having their own book... It would have saved me from being frustrating levels of bored.
I now know what happens when the mediocre secondary characters get their own book, so I'm done. Nope.
The fourth one can fuck right off. Not doing it.

Stopped at 42%; unlikeable male character
I quit reading this book to read something else. Now I’ve come back to this one to write this review, and I can’t really remember it…it lacks a believable immersive experience.
The female protagonist has some tough family issues and seems to have a good head on her shoulders, but she ignores all the red flags when it comes to the male romantic interest.
Part of me wants to like the jerk, because he does try to redeem himself; but the secondary plot with his ex-girlfriend and their sex tape is a COMPLETE turnoff. Ugh.
The young niece is not a consistently well described character. At times I felt like her behaviors and dialog were not believable.
I just lost interest in this story and couldn’t bring myself to finish it.

I really wanted to like this book and stuck it out to the end in an honest attempt. BUT, it was just all over the place, too drawn out and disorganized. I listened to the audiobook and those 13 hours didn't help the writer's case! The narrator made the grandmother sound like a poor imitation of Mrs. Doubfire and the poor little niece, Millie, was just sad. This had so much potential for a good read, but is basically in need of a good editor. I'm sorry to say I won't be reading anything else from this author. Very disappointing. 1.5 stars

Couldn’t finish the book
Exhausted reading this, stopped before reaching halfway. The whole storyline just seems unnecessary and full of annoying characters and situations. I was going to read Ward’s story next, but removed it from my library after. I just can’t read more of the same type.

Perfectly entertaining grumpaliciousness with a squishy sweet heart
Perfect Grump by Nicole Snow is a wonderfully well written romance and a perfect example of this author’s art form of creating likable broken billionaire bad boys and the amazing women who inspire them to change, heal and love.
Yet again, she has created a flawed alpha bosshole, Nick, who has blundered his way through life in the past, making mistakes and poor decisions that just won’t let him go or be forgotten. Everyone makes mistakes seems to be the repeated theme for this book. Nick is not the only one who makes mistakes and deserves a chance to set things right.
Times change and so does Nick. Enter Reese. She is tough, strong willed, confident and personable. As the featured couple in this book, Nick is totally the billionaire bad boy with flaws and on the path to do better and its mostly because of Reese. If only he hadn’t blundered their meeting, first impression and “fake” date. These two begin as employee-employer to reluctant, professional friends, then enemies and finally lovers. For me, Nick is endearing and I can see how these two would be great together so the tension build up is utterly captivating and once that tension reaches the breaking point. Reese does a good job resisting, but as Nick helps her over and over, without being asked, resistance becomes futile as feelings become engaged. Nick and Reese smolder, burn, spontaneously combust all the while falling deeper, creating something meaningful and long-lasting.
The plots are so engaging too. Nick’s past becomes present drama and at his own doing, kiboshes the only thing he ever wanted; forever with Reese. Then there’s the massive undertaking of Reese’s sister’s arrest and caring for little Millie. This little munchkin is beyond adorable and steals the scenes with laugh out loud antics at times. Four year olds are very entertaining indeed! While everything is getting resolved, heartbreak reigns. Nick, in his alpha protector lizard brain way of thinking, lets Reese go to “save” her from the circus that is his life in the tabloid media spotlight. Surprisingly, it’s all for nothing. But! Groveling Nick is super sweet and swoon-worthy in all his charming glory!!
Overall, this final book of the series gives the reader and fans an extra special detailed HEA for all the wonderful characters and most especially Nick and Reese. It’s spectacular and this reader/Nicole Snow fan absolutely loved it!

I truly am in awe of the wonderful and riveting stories that Nicole Snow writes. I have found a hand full of authors that are on my 0ne-click list and Nicole Snow is at the top of it. From suspenseful kidnappings and rogue government groups to loving grumps she has the talent to write it all and leave you wanting more. Perfect Grump is a stand-alone book in the Bad Chicago Bosses series, and it is without a doubt……. Perfect! There are a million forbidden office romance books out there, but Perfect Grump is sooo different and refreshing. I loved that Reese wasn’t the typical 5’9 knock out blonde PA that always catches the bosses eye. Of course, there is plenty of drama and love, to fill the pages. Boy oh boy can Snow write some incredible makeup scenes, and with a Perfect Grump like Nick there’s lots of need for making up. Perfect Grump by Nicole Snow is a Perfect 5-star read!
Nick Brandt is the family playboy/screw-up. His escapades are the thing that keeps the tabloids in business. Reese Halle is just the company’s driver and with a mistake of identity she didn’t even know she was on the radar to be noticed. Nick and Reese fight like cats and dogs and his attempts to make amends often fall on deaf ears. With all the shady stuff going on in Reese’s life she can’t let Nick try to be the knight in shining armor just to relieve his guilty conscious. Nick has done his fair share of bad things and to bring Reese into the limelight of his messed-up world would just be wrong. If Nick being the Perfect Grump is what it takes to keep Reese out of harm’s way, then that’s what he will do…. but what if the only light Reese cares about is the one that Nick brings into her life?

Reese has landed a job not only that she enjoys but also pays extremely well, as a driver for Brandt Ideas. It would be the perfect job if it wasn’t for Nick Brandt, he has a well earned title of self-obsessed playboy, especially when he has no idea that she is female. But there is a lot going on for Reese behind the scenes with her sister Abby and Millie. Reese doesn’t want to feel anything for Nick other than contempt but she can’t deny that they have chemistry but she has no intention of giving in to the attraction and they continue to bicker, but when a situation arises an Nick gets involved can she continue to fight her feelings for a man she knows will break her heart?
Nick Brandt playboy extraordinaire affectionately known as the family screw up, his life is filled with bad decisions and late nights but the thing that he screws up the most is with the new company driver when he doesn’t realise that she is a woman and so starts a feud between the pair. I am a massive fan of Ms Snow and I am always blown away by her characters and this book is no different. Reese tries to fight the attraction that she feels for Nick but he wears her down and I defy you not to find Millie adorable and funny. This is a must read it really is and I highly recommend it. 4.5*

Sweet as cotton candy!
I've read enemies-to-lovers stories before, but never one like this! Reese and Nick get off to a very rocky start, which is followed by a disastrous evening that cements their incompatibility and nearly destroys their working relationship. It's not until much later, when Reese is needing a helping hand, that Nick finally has the chance to redeem himself.
My heart was breaking for these two wonderful people. Despite the animosity and misunderstandings, neither was truly wrong or set out to fuel the feud between them. The author did a fabulous job of developing these characters and chauffeuring them through their various conflicts.
Once the romance takes off, my heart was in constant swoon for Reese and Nick. They're so beautiful together, and each one really brings out the best in the other. I loved the family connections on both sides, and I love the direction the author took the Brandt company with Nick. It was wonderful to see Ward and Paige again, and I was thrilled to see them so integral to Nick and Reese's story.
I highly recommend this book for anyone who loves contemporary romances. Nicole Snow's stories are the very best in billionaire romance and I highly recommend them all. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

It didn't quite get there
The blurb sounded fun...
The cover is pretty...
But the book falls short of it's potential. With a pretty decent start, you feel you've on the right path and then it takes a winding circuitous route around the parking garage 40 times before you start to leave the little arm bar behind.
It continues on an unnecessary, overpriced cab ride across towm before hitting the stop you wanted 2 blocks from the start. I keep going hoping for something meaty and worth the extra fat...but it never happened.
I think Millie is the show stealer but even she can't carry this story.

You know what they say about opposites? Nick and Reese will take you on one ride. Oh and did I mention that she's a driver for his company and he mistakes her for a man. This enemy to lovers romance will take you on an emotional roller coaster for sure. Their chemistry is off the charts as is his grumpy disposition. This book is well written with great characters and will have you in stitches most of the time. A great read that I read as an arc via the author and voluntarily chose to review.
