The fourth in the DCI Ellie McVey series, on Kindle Unlimited.

Set in Scotland, with a host of great characters - this series just hits the right spots.

There is more focus on investigations this time around, when Ellie's police partner Gavin Bickerton is framed for murder! We're introduced to the more gritty underworld of gangs.

Ellie's love life is still brilliant, as Kate is stepping off on a book tour to promote her latest best seller, and her Aunt Peg and Mama Aggie are always good for a bicker and a laugh.

Just a feel good, and interesting investigative series, with people who care at it's core.

Another win

I keeps saying The same thing as my other reviews of this book series I absolutely love it this mystery was different it was personal it had twist I did not figure everything out in this particular mystery which I'm very happy about and we also got to see Ellie and Kate be separate from most of this book actually for all of this book let's see how they relationship Handle with them being separated because of their job.
But I still felt there connection.

And it was a really good book, and the mystery was good and you don't necessarily have the Worried about the same case Be in the same or having the same formula each book has it's own flow Including the mystery including personal issues which I really love not a lot of Author can do that with the same characters and not have similarities happening.

but that does not mean that you could skip books either because just cause the mystery is different and each book you will miss out on the character development and growth that Each book provides.

So I definitely highly recommend you start from the beginning it's a good book series you will enjoy it I've been reading this book series for like 4 days now sometimes I don't finish book 1 sitting like this book it took 2 days to finish it And it's 7:43 pm right now United States time

Yeah I don't know what else to say the series was great I'm looking forward to the next book Which I know is gonna be hectic cause it's the wedding which I've been building up to this point I dragged these books out as much as I can because I love it so much and I know there's not another book 8 yet.

I'm really hoping that does happen the author has such a amazing skill of balance and personal situations life with their jobs have some times being a detective or an DCI Changing the way of personal life and it takes a very special significant other to be able to handle being in a relationship with a person who has a demand and job like Ellie other than that is a really good book I can't gush about it enough highly recommend you read it you would not regret it I'm off to book 5

I really enjoy this series

The characters and plots are complex, and well-written. Ellie's cases didn't put any of the main or supporting characters into much danger for this book. The banter and wit between Ellie, Kate, and Kate's family is always fun. All of these make for a great read.

Trouble

Nice sequel to the first three. Kate and Ellie moving forward as the each navigate their choosen careers. Peggy is definitely intriguing, Gavin becoming a father, am looking forward to the next books in the series, with rest of the cast of characters. Hope the wedding comes off with no hitches but we shall see. Thank you

Double Trouble

Each book in the DCI Ellie McVey series is better than the one before. The detective work and subsequent bringing down the criminals is a wonderful crime drama read. The relationship between Ellie and her fiancé Kate is a bonus to the series.
