We are back with Rosalie, Cole, Enzo, Foxy and Ethan and they are all better than before! They are now in college still trying to put past events behind them and move forward with their future, all the while navigating their own individual relationships as well as the new faces that pop up. A lot happens in this book, and a lot is set up for the future book(s) in the series as well. We see Rosie really grow into herself and show a stronger side of her than we've ever seen before, and I'm all here for it!! Cole is still her resident psycho who I adore, who is also still dealing with the loss of their baby Blossom (please KG have mercy on us when you're done torturing us and let him knock her up again. He needs to be a daddy!
Enzo still loves her to the point of Madness, and my heart just broke for all he's going through knowing Rosie doesn't want this life, but also knowing he doesn't have a choice. Foxy (which is now his new name, fight me!) Really surprised me with how sweet and level headed he was. Yes, he had his moments, but he also listened to our girl, and I love how in love with her he is! Then there's Ethan. Look, I love him, but he made me mad. I get it, my heart goes out to him, but shit is gonna hit the fan when Rosie figures it out.

As for the newcomer Anson that has all KGs fans and the horsemen going crazy? I'm gonna make a controversial statement: I really like him. He's nothing like his brother (IYKYK) and he stands up for Rosie to the horsemen. Honestly there's one confrontational scene between him and Cole that made me team Anson for life. Plus my heart went out to him with what happened to his mom and sister, which just makes me hate Tate more for what he does to B. In fact, I have a theory, and maybe I watch too many true crime shows, but I'm almost 99% sure I'm right. I can feel it in my gut.

All that being said, this is SO good. The feels, the sexy times, all the emotions here were just done so authenticity and just top notch. It's crazy how amazing this woman writes!!

I am a bit nervous about the next book since the cliffy is hands down her nicest one ever .. *looks around suspiciously* but I just can't wait for the next book! Go read this now!!

**I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions **

Be prepared for pain

Firstly, this series will be super confusing if you haven’t read Black Falls High.

Secondly…wow. Rosalie and her Horsemen are at college. They struggle to find their places individually and as a unit while facing multiple threats to their relationships. All of the characters have grown. The biggest question is whether their growth will bring them closer together or push them apart. Get ready to love and hate these characters, sometimes simultaneously, as they struggle with balancing safety and freedom.

This is the first book in a four book series. If you’re the kind of person who can’t handle cliffhangers in an incomplete series, maybe come back later in 2023. It’s also a deeper dive into the wider universe KG Reuss is creating across her books. The story leaves me with a sense of dread for the futures of the characters I love - but also hope that there’s a way forward.

Rounded up. Now at college, Rosalie and the guys from the Black Falls High series face new challenges, from adjusting to a new home and adulting, to maintaining their RH dynamic and individuality in the midst of new demands for their time and external threats. I like how, while the premise is fictional, many of the issues they grapple with are realistic for their circumstances, as are the dynamics. This was a good continuation of the BFH series.

May We Rise

6/5 extra ⭐ I don't know if i have the proper words to articulate how brilliant this book is. A new series following The Horseman characters from the Black Falls series. We get to see these characters in the aftermath of what happened in that series. Moving on in college or trying to. Characters that we know & love & are invested in. College brings so many things especially with the world that they are wrapped up in.

I feel like this is a look at a relationship & in case a RH relationship that is very relatable. When people in the relationship are trying to hold it together but can feel it slipping away & trying hold on. But it's the little things. They have good days & bad days but theres cracks. I think it's so wonderfully told, the way things unfold, you can feel the emotion. I just think it's a brilliantly written.

Now these characters will have a HEA in the adult series. Mayfair is college. Black Falls is High School (highly recommend) The Horseman will have another series  (mafia series) when they're out of college as adults. In theaw series be prepared for darkness and realistic issues being faced. And that's one of the things I really love about the seires & this author. She's not afraid to give us the nitty gritty & isn't stuffed into any genre box. When I read this book I was going through a hard time and it really resonated with me. Black Falls also resonated with me & I found it to be cathartic just like I did with this series.

KG digs deep into topics and they are so well written. I think Ethan's battle with addiction is one of the best that I have read. It's complex, layered and his storyline of trying to have his love we can't live without or the drugs he's tried and can't seem to live without. He's not villainized for having an addiction their are reasons that he feels the need to self-medicate even though he sought help. Also loss is explored so well. Things just aren't forgotten or glossed over & it creates a beautiful story that sometimes is rough & has some heartache. That's how you know that you care about the characters & what's being written resonates. It will also keeping you entertained. There are also some extremely laugh out loud moments especially with Cole & some sugar. Highly recommend this book, series,  universe KG Reguss is creating. So grateful this book came when it did. So excited for whats it next.

Rosalie is SO boring lmao.

I've read Black Falls High (the beginning of Rosalie and her guys), and I had mixed feelings about those books as well. I like to read the books in this universe in chronological order, and now it's more of Miss Snoozefest and her boys 🥲

Love Ethan SO much though!!!!!

What the hell! Man this book has me feeling every damn thing right now!!

We are back with the four horsemen: Cole, Enzo, Fox & Ethan, plus the love of their lives Rosalie. We pick up after high school and at their first year of College at Mayfair.

I highly recommend reading Kings of Bolten before reading this (especially read the Black Falls High series before anything).

My heart for all of them is torn, i can’t wait to see what else is in store for them…I know K.G Reuss will eventually give us some type of HEA and I’m here for it

The next book can't come soon enough

She never ceases to capture me from the beginning all the way to the end of her books. My heart hurt at the struggles they had in this book, but honestly what relationship doesn't have rocky patches where you have to decide to give up or keep fighting to be with the one/ones your heart loves. I have no doubt the next book will keep us on the edge of our seat as well.

HOLY WOWWWW

Uhm I have no words for that cliff hanger! Holy hell. I’m freaking speechless. Honestly, I didn’t know how the ending to this book was going to go. I love when I have ideas and they go completely where I didn’t guess it would.
Now I need the next book 😂😅
This story is so beautifully woven and created that I legit can’t put any of them down. KG has created some of the best characters I have ever read about. Honestly no words does this story justice. The crazy chaos Rosalie and her four horsemen have endured over the years, all the challenges they continuously are struggling to endure it’s wow. I don’t want to give away any spoilers because we all know a good story has to go through evil, crazy shit to appreciate the ending—-and although we haven’t gotten to the end of their story yet I know it’s going to be one helluva journey!

Also the spice in this book is delicious. 😮‍💨 Each of the four horsemen’s characters are absolutely fantastic.

KG Reuss creates some of the best characters because they are so flawed. I love that these boys are imperfect and seem to be constantly messing up...you know, like real men.
Cole is such a wild card, I think he might be my new favorite even though I gave my heart to Ethan when the group was still in high school (still a little mad at Ethan now for getting wrapped up in drugs again even if he claims they're not addictive and he needs them...hmm.. sounds like something an addict would say). I just love how badly Cole wants his rainbow baby, a little girl he can call Ellie-phant or Ellie-gator...how cute!
I had to take a break in these cross over series because the heartbreak was too painful but I'm all in again with this one.
ALWAYS 5 STAR BOOK WITH THIS AUTHOR!

I can already tell this series is going to slay me. These people went through so much in the BFH series and it seems college is going to be even worse. Highly recommend reading BFH first as well as reading the TW.

May We Rise deserve all the stars in the world plus much more on top!
K.G. Reuss absolutely smashed it out of the park with this Incredibly Phenomenal and Fan-Frickin’-Tastic EPIC start to Mayfair University series!
Another TOP FAV READ of 2022 added to the list!

SPEECHLESS….
Yet it’s not surprising considering whenever it comes to any of K.G. Reuss’s books, this always seem to be the case.

Rosalie ‘Rosie/Rosebud’ Bishop and the Horsemen aka Fox Evans, Ethan ‘E’ Masters, Cole Scott and Lorenzo ‘Enzo’ De Luca are back in the college spin-off Mayfair University series. Starting with May We Rise, which is told through multiple POVs.

In the debut novel to their college years, K.G. Reuss had us following along Rosie, Fox, Ethan, Cole and Enzo, whilst they navigate life at Mayfair with their studies. As well as everything else going on in their lives, given all that is going on behind the scenes.
From the many ups and downs they encountered, it had you following alongside them on the rocky terrain they travelled upon due to the many situations that take place. Courtesy of the many obstacles and hurdles thrown in their paths, resulting in them being tested, sometimes even to their limits.

The plot led you on a super emotionally charged whirlwind rollercoaster ride, unleashing constant outpour of many emotions just flowing right off each and every single page.
Whether it be from the happy, sweet and cute moments that led to some super Burning Hot, Fiery steaminess from how high the temperatures rose between Rosie, Fox, Ethan, Cole and Enzo.
To the deep and hard punches that were thrown your way, with the impact as a result being truly and majorly profound. Resulting in some intense sharps hits within. At least IMO.
In fact so much so that it had me in literal tears one of many times from the server pain, sadness and heartache released like a tsunami, caused by the built up major angst gushing out.

May We Rise kept you gripped in this very real page turner right from the very beginning, plummeting down the rabbit hole in following the lives of Rosie, Ethan, Fox, Enzo and Cole yet again.
Right up until the very last sentence at the end of the very last page.
And despite the tame cliffhanger, K.G. Reuss still managed to have you crying out for more. Not wanting it to be the end.

Seriously When We Fall could not come fast enough, because lawd knows it already has me crying out loud from dying in agony with waiting in anticipation for its release.

Enzo.....

Diving into the chaotic world of Mayfair University, I had high expectations for May We Rise, and K.G. Reuss certainly delivers—though it felt a bit like a nostalgic rewind at times. Returning to Enzo, Cole, Ethan, Fox, and Rosalie, I was reacquainted with their trials and triumphs as they navigate the tumultuous waters of college life, all while harboring the shadows of their past.

Right off the bat,Cole steals the show with his edgy antics and unmistakable charm. Reuss masterfully captures his struggle with the loss of their child, making him both relatable and deeply complex. I couldn’t help but cheer for him, especially in a memorable scene on the front lawn that had me laughing out loud—definitely one of the book’s highlights!

Enzo, as always, is the epitome of the imperfect hero. No matter his missteps, I find myself continually rooting for him. It’s a testament to Reuss’s skill in crafting characters that feel real; even when they err, they remain endearing. Meanwhile, Ethan’s lack of fight left me wanting more—his journey seems to be one of stagnation rather than growth, and I’m hoping in future books we see him reclaim his spark.

Fox surprised me this time around; his usual goody-two-shoes reputation takes a fascinating turn as he reveals a darker side, adding an intriguing layer to his character that I thoroughly enjoyed.

However, Rosalie, while trying to find her strength through music with the help of Anson, remains a bit of a snoozefest for me. She just doesn’t resonate, and despite K.G.'s excellent writing, I find little here to latch onto. It is seriously nothing on K.G. her writing is A+ I just can't connect with Rosalie.

Anson, the newcomer with a connection to The Lords, brings fresh energy to the narrative, and I’m excited to see how his relationship with everyone and his character with evolves in the series. His arrival certainly stirs things up, and I appreciated how Reuss intertwines characters from the Kings of Bolten series, lending depth to the complex world they inhabit.

Ooff. That ending.
Twist. Turns and Cliffhangers. These are you shall find K.G.Reuss books. And this
one is another gift. I swear her books are a danger to my heart. I did not see that coming!

I'm going to be honest. I was so afraid to read this book because, after reading Double Dare You, I knew things were going to be messy. This isn't a spoiler. With big personalities and drama, plus Cole, things always get messy *wink*. I'm sure a lot of crying sessions, suffering with the characters, AND drama, HEA will be sweeter.

After reading two chapters, I was excited. These characters will always have a special place in my heart.

In the beginning, we see the horsemen and Rosalie on the first day of college. I had forgotten how passionate their relationship was. I've missed them.

We see them growing up, and after the shocking events of Black Falls High, they are trying to figure out adult life. and how different careers affect their relationship.

Insecurities.New Characters. New threats and tough decisions.

There are a lot of Kings Of Bolten characters. So you have to read that series unless it's not going to make any sense.

Ethan's new passion. Fox's new career. Cole's desperation. Enzo's struggle and Rosalie's confusion in their life.

And of course, there is a new character named Anson. He's an enigma for sure. Sue me, I didn't like him in the beginning, but after that POV in the end... -I am not going to give away spoilers!-

My favorite was Cole on the front lawn. That. Was. Hillarious. Seriously. You are not going to read that part with a straight face.

We see their relationship having trouble. Insecurities rise, and confusion tenses the house. But reading about their love for each other...that's the reason you should read. So passionate. So desperate. So Broken and So Captivating. It's worth reading, and I am not responsible if you get addicted to this world K.G. Reuss created.

The QUEEN of Cliffhangers has done it again!! Sweet Baby Jesus in Heaven 😳

Do not walk… RUN 🏃🏻‍♀️

I’m addicted to this Universe of Chaos K.G. Reuss has created. I just finished this and let 👏🏼 me 👏🏼 tell 👏🏼 ya’ll 👏🏼 YES YES a thousand times YESSS!! 😍🤩

Ok…you MUST read Black Falls High series first. You’re going to meet Rosalie and the Horsemen. You’re going to go through some pretty bad shit. There’s some heartbreak and tears (oh baby there are tears 😭) but it’s got a pretty bow in the end 💕 Now fast forward…our Horsemen and Rosalie have made it to college.

Rosalie is fierce. KG doesn’t make weak bitches. The Horsemen are 🥵 (don’t judge me and my book boyfriends). Breadcrumbs from the Kings of Bolton series are starting to come together. But WHYYYYY do we have to end with such a WTF cliffhanger?!? 😩 Because it would not be a KG book otherwise. She KNOWS how to keep you wanting more 😤

I’m NEVER disappointed when I read anything by this author. She is dark and twisted in all the good ways and speaks to my soul I swear. This is the long awaited book 1 Mayfair University series. We are starting to see life through more matured eyes as our Horsemen and Rosie are growing up. Life is hard and they all have their own individual lives on top of family life. The tensions run high as they try to navigate it all. New challenges and new threats are coming. And oh my stars, the spice 🌶 *chefs kiss* And the ending will have you screaming…literally. I’m shocked I didn’t wake up my kids 😂 but this ride is worth it all. So buckle up!!

🚨 READ THE TRIGGER WARNINGS 🚨

🛑 You HAVE to read the Black Falls High series first.

‼️ In between the BFH and MWR/Kings of Bolton Series you may also want to read Barely Breathing and Double Dare You.

💎 MWR and the Kings of Bolton series are written for the same time period. There is some crossover to be expected. One from the King’s side and one from the Horsemen’s side. KOB is already 3 books deep published

It was so great to be back with Rosalie and her horsemen! We get to see them begin this new chapter of their lives where they are just starting college.

Each of them are still trying to overcome their past traumas from Black Falls High while navigating their life at college, new friends, classes, and their relationship. Rosalie really starts to set her own boundaries in this book and stands up to her guys. She’s really struggling to accept the lifestyle that being with Enzo entails and just wants to have normal college experiences. Fox is the new star quarterback and is trying to juggle football and the fame it brings, his classes, time with Rosalie, and the danger that is coming for them. Ethan…he’s still so messed up from all the horrible stuff he went through and while I’m glad he found something to help him focus on anything other than the trauma, he really needs to tell Rosalie. Cole is still psychotic, possessive, and my favorite! He desperately wants to have a baby with Rosalie and not gonna lie, I really want him to as well. Enzo is in a really tough situation because the mafia is his life but it puts Rosalie in danger and she doesn’t want this life. He wants to keep her safe and I think he’s coming to a really sad conclusion as to how he can do that.

I was really glad that we finally got some answers to who a certain character was that we met in the Kings of Bolten series and why they were so important to the horsemen. After getting to know them, I’m sad about what happened to them in that series. As to the other character that we meet that is too close to Rosalie… I hate them and don’t trust them, especially after that last chapter.

This book started fast with the steam and was full of drama and tension! I have a bad feeling about the next book but at least this was the nicest cliffhanger we’ve gotten from KG lol I can’t wait for the next one to see what happens next for Rosalie and the horsemen!

It’s been a year and a half wait from when we last saw the horsemen. The hype build up led us to having very high expectations.

It was a book with some world and character building since their changes to Mayfair College.

Rosalie and Anson fall for each other.

The men start having issues and distancing themselves from Rosie because of their own separate things going on but yet, get mad at Rosie for falling for the only guy listening and giving her attention.

Enzo and Cole are falling into a hole of dangerous mafia duties.

Ethan is giving his attention to curing overdosing drugs, with a lab partner that’s named Macy. He invites her to his home, without Rosie being there, several times, and doesn’t mention he has a girlfriend. This leads to the obvious.

The author claimed there’d be no cheating but that’s very subjective.

Ethan is kissed by a character named Macy and doesn’t immediately pull away. He failed to mention to this girl while he was having her over at his place privately several times, without Rosie, that he had a girlfriend. I even think she potentially took advantage of him considering he was on drugs and she wasn’t. She kissed him without asking. In my opinion, kissing someone without asking, while they’re high or drunk, is a form of taking advantage of someone.
(I believe she wasn’t on drugs. I could be wrong.)

Cole flirts with Macy and jokes about inviting her to his bed if he didn’t have a girlfriend.
That and how he behaves around Bianca is very questionable.
If you remember from the Kings of Bolten series, the horsemen flirted with Bianca and called her a viper in bed and talked about her beautiful bombshell looks.

Just be mindful and careful if you’re someone easily upset by the men flirting with other women.

I’m sure this series will have more of it.

OMG I have waited soooo long for this book and it did not disappoint. First if you have not read all the BFH, put this down and read the 4 books in that series. You will need the backstory to understand the relationship of Rosie and the Horsemen. This series was originally supposed to be a duet but KG had so much in that genius head of hers, that now it will be a 3 book series, which I love and hate (only because I have to wait). In this book we also get some of the crossover missing pieces with Kings of Bolten, like how it began.

This is the start of college for the Horsemen and Rosalie. The beginning of their lives being dragged into the Mafia lifestyle. Fox is the big man on campus, Cole is the possessive sweet psycho (swoon), Ethan is the broken soul and Enzo is the alpha leader. In this book Rosie is more unsure of herself and self worth given everything she has been through. I love that she starts to get her voice with the guys and starts to find herself. I am firmly #teamhateAnson but he does give Rosie something she needs to heal her soul.

The harem scenes together are FIRE, man do they all work so well together ;) Libraries, tear away speedos and cars, OH MY

This one does have some heartbreak, for me it was Cole and Ethan. I won't spoil anything, but you can see the natural shift that I am guessing will be more evident in the next book of their relationship. My poor sweet Cole is still healing from Blossom and him opening up about it really made me love the sweet psycho even more.

For the Queen of Cliffys, this was surprisingly gentle, which makes me soo nervous for the next 2 books but I will still read them with tissues in hand. I can't wait for the rest of the series because like Cole I love the torment.

Freaking amazing. Love having Rosalie and The Horseman back. After all the pain and trauma from Black Falls High, Rosie and her guys get a fresh start at Mayfair. But will this new venture be smooth sailing for this beloved group?

A lot happens in this book, and a lot of ground work is laid out for the rest of the books in the series. We see Rosalie really grow into herself and show a stronger more confident version of herself. Cole is still the loving psycho we can't get enough of, who's dealing with the loss of his Blossom and navigating his new role with Enzo. Enzo himself is still crazy for Rosalie and loves his friends as brothers, but dealing with the pressures of his family expectations and his role in taking over as the head of the De Luca family. A position he never wanted and reluctantly steps further into. Fox has reached his redemption from everything that had happened in BFH. He is completely and totally devoted to Rosalie. I loved how sweet he was and all about her, even when pressures from teammates arose and expectations from the life Enzo is leading them all down. Then Ethan, I love him and I know he's struggling with his demons and the trauma's of his childhood, but I felt frustrated and angry with him. I felt his addictions were transferred into his madness in creating sugar. Swapped one addiction to another. And yet, I understand maybe from his POV that he's trying to find purpose and motivation to help others and himself. I just honestly hated how him and the guys went about this, hiding it from Rosalie because they knew she would be upset. I hated how Macy took such a role with the guys, because while there were no feelings or inappropriate behavior, sidelining Rosalie in what was going on and including Macy in such a big way, felt like cheating and it made my blood boil.

And Anson, I wasn't sold on him when we were introduced to him in BFH. Then, he came off as just arrogant. But he has me intrigued in this book and after hearing his story with is mom and sister, I'm not harboring as much dislike for him as I was. Looking forward to seeing how his story unfolds with the rest of them.

With all of that said, this book is so good and I'm so happy we get more story with this group. This book has all the emotions, a lot of glorious sexy times, and everything flowed beautifully. K.G. has such a beautiful gift with her storytelling and I can't wait for more.

Enzo: I had to fight. I had to rise.

Rosalie (age 19) and her four guys from Black Falls High are in a new setting—college. Rosie doesn’t want the mafia life but it’s not a choice with Enzo. It’s upsetting she thinks there’s any way that Enzo can walk away alive because a life on the run is not any better than being constantly protected.

My beloved Ethan is trying to perfect a drug so other addicts who struggle don't overdose. E loves Rosie with everything he is. Fox is trying to live his dream with his girl at his side, Enzo (age 20) is stuck between the life he craves and the one he's forced into, and Cole is devoted to Rosalie and their family.

Enter Anson, Rosie’s singing partner and mentor. I don’t like additions to the harem but Anson is a great character and I am already in love with him, sigh.

Ethan: I would become one of the biggest monsters of all…in the name of love, power and sugar.
Fox: I’ll never let you get lost.
Cole: Rosebud and I had a destiny to fulfill. It mostly consisted of enjoying our bodies and me putting babies into her belly so we could fill the world with tiny, talented psychos.
Rosie: Fox is my breath when I can’t breathe. Ethan is sweet and kind and caring and a million other things. Cole is my overly possessive one who loves so deeply, and Enzo is my savior. I could never choose one. We’d just have to let the world burn.

Very spicy group scenes and yes, it ends on a crazy cliffhanger 🤯

I LOVE crossovers and this follows the same timeline as Kings of Bolten, but the story comes from the horsemen. The Kings are seniors at Bolten. The horsemen are freshmen at Mayfair.

Ah it was so amazing to get back to Rosalie and the horsemen. I’ve missed them so much since Black Falls High, and absolutely enjoyed being able to see how college life has been going for them. I couldn’t get enough of seeing some familiar faces again, as well as K.G.’s ability to blend all of her series together! Even though K.G. is the QUEEN of dark romance and suspense she always delivers with the humor, angst, and ALL the spice.

In order to understand the beginning of this new series, it is imperative to read the Black Falls High series as well as the Kings of Bolten series. TRUST ME when I say you WANT to read these books before diving into 𝘔𝘢𝘺 𝘞𝘦 𝘙𝘪𝘴𝘦. You will understand the background story and pasts of these characters and grasp exactly why Enzo, Cole, Fox, and Ethan are so extremely protective over Rosalie.

Once again there were so many emotions to be experienced while reading this book because K.G. knows exactly what she’s doing when writing about these worlds and characters. I laughed way too hard with the banter and Cole, but I definitely cried for Ethan and Rosie. I swooned over Fox but felt anger with Enzo. But I loved every minute of it and wouldn’t change it for anything. We got to see more of Anson and his involvement with Rosie and the horsemen, and I devoured every minute of it.

Even though this book did end on a cliffhanger (because that’s K.G.’s specialty) it wasn’t as bad as others have been. But I can’t wait to see what happens in 𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘞𝘦 𝘍𝘢𝘭𝘭, and I can’t wait to get back to more of Rosalie, Anson and her horsemen!

If you haven’t read Black Falls High yet, go go go! Mayfair University follows Rosalie, Fox, Cole, Enzo and Ethan through their adult lives. They’re now attending college and Mayfair, although Enzo is only attending because the others are. He has a different life path being the heir to his father’s mafia throne.

If you’re like me and couldn’t wait then you’ve read Double Dare You and got a few Mayfair spoilers since it takes place after the events in the Mayfair series. Unfortunately pretty much nothing has been answered in the first book but the angst and tension has been ramped up and keeping us guessing. Rosalie and the Horsemen are still healing after the trauma of BFH and it looks like their suffering is yet to end. I can’t wait to see where KG takes us. She’s told to trust the process and that’s what I’m gonna do.

The steam was brought up to an 11 and I am here for it. Group scenes, one on one, and MFM. Enzo and Cole love having Rosalie between them whereas Fox and Ethan seem to prefer their one on one time with her but never turn down a group experience. This book isn’t just hot, it’s dark and peels back the layers of their shared trauma from BFH. Be prepared for triggers galore. I can’t wait for When We Fall!

Steam: 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶
Angst: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Violence: 🩸🩸

No one is safe in The Horsemen’s World

This book is filled with secrets, lies, betrayal, love, lust, desire, and devotion.

This books picks up when Rosalie and her men are starting their next chapter at Mayfair University. Rosalie is still fighting her demons but music is helping her work through them. She has partnered with Anson and he has been working with her to find her strength and voice. The only problem is she doesn’t know he has ulterior motives and he’s connected to The Lords who are Enzo’s families enemy. She is going to be collateral damage if she isn’t careful.

Enzo is coming into his own with his families business but he has to keep his sunshine safe or everything he has been working toward will mean nothing! Cole is always by his side but neither of them will survive if they lose her.

Ethan is working on sugar his new drug with Macy who’s brother is also a Lord but she has been cool so she’s been officially added to their family. However, she’s disappeared and no one knows where she is!

Fox is perfecting his football career but he has to keep Rosie safe at all cost. He’s all in for his family but the danger of the Mafia is not something they can overlook.

Rosalie is trying to keep everyone happy but she is a bit lost still and she doesn’t know if this dangerous life is one she can keep being a part of but she has choice if she wants her Horsemen.

This is another wild ride but it is so worth it! Cliffhanger as always but Book 2 is going to be explosive I can just tell. Happy Reading!!

SPOILER FREE REVIEW:

I am a huge KG Reuss fan, I stumbled across her books in February this year and read the Black Falls High Series. It was my first dark bully whychoose/RH trope and I fell down the rabbit hole of my obsession with dark romance and RH books.

I knew the first book of the college series following Rosalie and her horsemen would suck me right in and it did! I blocked out 3.5hours of my day to read this book and the emotions that tore through me is something else and reflects in the way KG writes. I commend you KG on another book that owes a piece of my soul.

Watching Rosalie and her horsemen at college, navigating through the struggles all expect when attending college. Introducing us to the characters we were anticipating on and making us fall in love with them too. All I know is the that last chapter has left me wanting more and not to mention those breadcrumbs that have been sprinkled throughout.

I know you are the queen of Cliffies and you take us on a ride, I can’t wait to see where the next book takes us. I’m only sad that it’s not released as of yet but I know it’s worth the wait.

If you love:

- a dark college romance series
- cross over characters from her Kings of Bolten series
- a strong FMC who is growing into her true self
- 4 protective alphaholes who idolise their girl
- mafia elements
- why choose
- emotional but amazing story that will take you on a ride.

Then this is a series for you.

Wow…my head is spinning. There is so much going on and I have sooo many questions that I am sure I will get by the end of this journey as promised by K.G. Reuss. I loved seeing Rosalie and the horsemen again. But readers can definitely see that they are on very rocky ground. I have read almost all of K.G. Reuss books and not one has ever been a disappointment. The first recommendation I will make is to read Black Falls High before reading May We Rise (I am not saying don’t get it I would definitely one click and just put it on the side until you finish reading Black Fall High and if you don’t want any foreshadowing before reading Mayfair University series then put the Kings of Bolten and The Dare Duet on hold till after Mayfair University series. If you don’t mind knowing a little bit of what is going on then you can read them as they are released. I am not sure if I prefer reading all the associated books first or not. There are pros and cons to each way but for shock value reading May We Rise after Black Falls High will definitely do it. All I can guarantee readers is that you must read author’s Introduction. My recommendation (regardless of all mentioned above) is May We Rise, Mayfair University series, and K.G. Reuss (who is one of my top ten favorite author and never disappoints) as an author!! I positively can’t wait for When We Fall and These Shattered Lies!! Happy Reading!!!

So so good!

This book is part of a duet and follows the same characters from the Black Falls High series, who are now in college. Therefore, if you haven’t read that series, I’d suggest you pick up those books first before jumping into this one. Otherwise, you won’t understand what’s going on. Also, it will give you the full insight of the relationships dynamics, the side characters, and the info given from their past.

Additionally, I would suggest reading the Kings of Bolter series as well, as WMR and KOB happens in the same timeline and world, and they will connect in book 2. If you read KOB first you’ll understand the references, enemies, alliances etc. You technically don’t have to, but I strongly suggest it.

That being said… I loved this book!! The turmoil these characters go through after everything from BFH is just heartbreaking. While I read it, I was being pulled in all directions with all the feelings I had. I completely understood the actions from the guys, but I also understood Rosalie. I kind of new how this duet ends because we read about it in Double Dare You from Rosalie’s bff POV, but the how we are getting there is hurting my soul.

If you’ve read KG Reuss’ stories before, you know she makes it hurt in the process, but we always end up with the happy ending! So enjoy the ride and have faith these beautiful characters will end up with they HEA.

I just absolutely love the world KG Reuss has built with all these characters!
This is the first book in the story of Rosalie and The Horsemen at Mayfair college, it follows on from their Black Fall High series (you need to have read this series first or you won't understand much). After everything they went through in BFH I wasn't sure how college would be, but I should've known it wouldn't be smooth sailing.
This book allows us to see the changes in each of the characters as they find their own paths at college and deal with everything coming at them from outwith, they aren't your average college students after all. There are so many moments in this book that has you screaming in frustration or shouting out loud "why?!" when certain situations happen that could've been avoided so easily! But that's the beauty of KG and her writing it's not the kind of story that has smooth sailing in it, it's a rollercoaster that you never want to get off.
May We Rise also crosses over with the Kings of Bolton series which I really enjoyed as we get to understand what happens from The Horsemen point of view.
This book does end on a cliffhanger, I didnt expect anything less from KG, so don't freak out too much, we will get answers eventually and I have no doubt it will be worth the heartbreak it takes to get there.
How you manage to connect everything so beautifully really amazes me, I cant wait for more even from Anson (I know shock, horror right but I'm on the fence about him).

…this was so fucking good. My favourite book you’ve ever written is in Pieces, this one is definitely right up there with it. The way this was written put the characters, especially Rosalie in such a different light. As always it was incredibly well written but the emotion that Rosalie felt through out this book…I felt them. And they were actually done in such a tactful, realistic manner Well…I felt all of the characters emotions but Rosalie was especially relatable in this story and I genuinely loved that. Yes!!!! We love mental health accuracy in a fictional world

I read this all in 2.5 hours because it was simply just that damn good. Because I’ve read the other series I can see the effort and the connections coming together, it’s simply *chef kiss*. THE QUEEN HAS DONE IT YET AGAIN. ANOTHER 5 STAR FROM ME BABES.

Y’all I cannot recommend this world enough. It’s genuinely one of my favourites created. You cannot read this book without reading Black Falls High first, I highly recommend reading Kings of Bolten after to really get the full scope of things. This book does end on a cliffhanger but honestly, it was pretty gentle compared to her usual throw you off and hope you survive cliff hangers lmao.

Can’t wait for you to keep dragging me and putting me back together with these books 😍😍

May We Rise

I first read about Rosalie and her guys, The Horseman, a little over a year ago in the Black Falls High Series. Then there was some crossover of the guys in Deadly Little Promises. Now we have May We Rise and we get more insight into scenes that happened from the guys POV. I absolutely love this world and it's characters. I'm gonna have to go back and skim through DLP for a quick refresher on Macy, Anson and his brother Trent. I remember everything with Macy's cousin Drake. Ok so I know Ethan has the biggest heart ever and he loves Rosalie with everything he is. I love his kindness and his ability to be friends with Macy. But the minute the Horseman claimed her as family and a sister should have been the moment they cleared the air about everything with her. I feel they should have done more to have the girls befriend each other vs "she's the guys friend". Same with Anson and Rosalie's friendship. Girl you know what you're feeling and why, so nip that s#!t quick. Set some major freaking boundaries, draw some clear asfuq lines in the sand so there isn't any potential to catch certain feelings other than brotherly best friend kind of feelings. Miscommunication at its best with everyone. I can't wait for book 2. That cliffhanger wasn't killer but it's one to drive ya crazy for sure. Highly recommend reading all the books involving this world!!!

Well worth the wait!

I will admit it took me a while to finish this one. But only because I could only read a chapter or two at a time knowing that this is only book one and a whole lot of bad is coming!! But like with all the other books than Ms. Ruess graces us with, it was brilliantly written.

Cole - always my favorite, did not disappoint and brought all his broken crazy to play again.

Enzo - I think I feel the most for Enzo. You can see the path he's on and is leading everyone else on even though he hates it. This man is going to break my heart before it's over.

Ethan - the growth in E has been remarkable, but he's still his sensitive insecure self. Can't wait to see where his journey takes him.

Fox - I don't even... His love, loyalty to Rosie and the guys, his commitment to making sure everyone is OK. His journey terrifies me the most. I just have a feeling that there's a whole lot of bad, bad foreshadowing going on with him. Should I send my prayers now??

And, Rosalie - my heart breaks for her. She's trying to survive and is still healing from all the trauma she went through in high school. Her strength and love for these guys is clear and heartbreaking.

Overall - this was K.G. at her best. And the next chapter can't come soon enough!
