Rate this book
A woman surviving on the edge of a dark frontier strikes a sensual bargain with a handsome stranger hiding a dangerous secret…

In a post-apocalyptic future, creatures who’ve hidden in the shadows for millennia are freed to roam in a world shrouded in darkness. Rancher Kate McKinnon runs Sanctuary Ranch—a last refuge on the western frontier. While running herd over her cowhands and integrating refugees into their self-sufficient refuge, she escapes her responsibilities the only way she has left—via radio to pockets of other survivors. One man, Ty Bennett, is her confidante, and she thinks she might be falling in love with his deep, rasping voice. Although they've never met, he seems to know her heart.

On a patrol to scavenge supplies, Kate and her cowboys are surrounded by a gang of renegades intent on claiming her. Rescue comes unexpectedly by a militaristic band led by the man she’s spent so many hours talking to through the dark nights. She brings him home only to discover she's brought vampires inside the refuge.

Already half in love with the human woman, Ty offers added muscle to her defenses and promises to move her people to safety. Fighting his own nature and appetites, he seeks redemption for his many sins but can’t control his hunger to possess Kate. Getting past her prejudice and choking responsibilities tests his seductive powers.

A post-apocalyptic, paranormal set in a small town in Texas. The description of the book give you a good idea of what the book is about. I enjoyed, on the short side but still full of plenty of story.

While this is a reasonable short read it packs plenty into the pages and will have you turning the pages as fast as you can

Kate McKinnon as turned her ranch into a sanctuary for a small group of survivors not only did they survive the nuclear holocaust but they are now fighting to survive against the weres that are becoming more aggressive as the world has sunk into a perpetually dark world. Her only support is a voice on a radio a voice that tells her it is time to move her survivors while they still have a chance when a supply and fuel run turns deadly that voice becomes a man a man who leads a team that could be their survival But Ty Bennet and his men have secrets of their own have the survivors jumped from the frying pan into the fire or have they found a group strong enough to keep them safe. You will have to read to see be ready for some steamy times between Kate and Ty looking forward to Diego's story

It's post-apocalyptic Texas and those things that were dismissed as a bump in the night are now very real.

Kate McKinnon's Ranch has been a sanctuary for over a hundred years. She'd protect those who came looking for help with her life. Now supplies are running low and she knows she has to make a plan to leave. It's just very hard for her to think about.

With the werewolves, rogues and vampires out there and having to kill a wolf today, that time is coming faster than she wants.

Needing some comfort from the outside world, Kate turns to the old radio and waits for Ty Bennett to respond.

A trip to town for supplies is the catalyst that changes everything for Kate. She makes an agreement with Ty who has many secrets after he saves her and her men from rogues.

This is a quick read with plenty of action, sizzling heat and oh those secrets. I can't wait for the next book in this series.

Great post apocalyptic paranormal romance

A decade after a nuclear attack,Katie McKinnon at 28 has survived on her family ranch with a handful of ranch hands. A few families and stragglers they have taken in. Things are getting harder.
Rains are few, food is scarce, the werewolves are always a threat. Ty Bennett has become the balm to her soul. A voice on the ham radio, offering strength and support. He wants to protect her and her people. When he shows up with his own army, Katie is suspicion. Her attraction to him overwhelming. She has her misgivings about trusting Ty with her people. Her gut says he is a safe bet. When she learns the truth before Ty is ready to share. He has to work to show her that he and his men are the good guy and that she and her people will be safe with them.
Fast paced and steamy. Looking forward to Diego's story.

Kate owns ranch called Sancutary.

This is a time of post apocalyptic time in Texas and Kate helps the survivors, but the food and all the supplies are running low.
Kate and some of her men make a run and are surrounded by a motorcycle gang. Ty comes to their rescue and wants to
Protect her and her people.

This is a bit different paranormal, kept my interest looking forward to the next book.
