I love this series!!!!! As the town is getting ready for the Blueberry Harvest Festival, there is a scheming developer in town Ray Gateway imposing himself into the mix of the towns business owners on what he will do for them once "Gateway Resort" gets into operation. Eloise and Matthew get word about the resort they decide to check it out. Then the rumors start going around how Ray is not for the town, at the soft opening of Gateway Resort things don't go as planned, because someone else has different ideas and that is how Ray met his demise in front of the whole town. Who? And we know why! There are is the whole town of suspects, Eloise and Matthew get started figuring out who and how, because the police are not going in the right direction. Get this book to find out what they turn up!!!! You won't be disappointed!!!!!
Another great addition to this series. The characters continue to develop as the author increases their depth. The book is peopled with individuals you would expect to see in small town America. The storyline was well written and the mystery fun to try and solve.
As berry season draws to a close the Inn is busier than ever. Eloise and Matthew have their hands full keeping up with their responsibilities at the Inn and their various writing projects. But when a developer tries to change the face of the village and gets himself killed they jump in the help the local police solve the crime.
I gotta admit, I was a little worried for all the shopkeepers in Williamsbridge when the big resort was going to come in. I had a feeling just as they did that the guy in charge of the development wouldn't keep his word as far as encouraging his guests to shop locally. In fact, he was putting in shops to make his resort an all-inclusive shopping and activities area, not cool!
I wouldn't ever have figured out what actually killed the developer, but Matthew and Eloise sure did at the end when they actually got someone to confess. This was another short but sweet mystery with some great characters! I'll be borrowing the next one on KU as soon as it's out.

This is the first book in the series I have read and I really enjoyed it. The characters are warm and interesting and the small town setting is always fun. A new resort is getting ready to open in this small Vermont town ant the locals are worried it will ruin all the local businesses.on the night of the soft opening the owner drops dead on the stage.suspicion swirls through town. It has a surprise ending.
Love the setting, it's a place I would love to visit. The story is well written with great characters. The storyline is fantastic. I look forward to reading the next book.
But I love the characters and the setting. A new conglomerate comes into town building a hotel and all the shops that are already in town. Someone finishes off the owner before the opening. A good book
This is the 6th book in the Inn Vermont Mystery series and it's a quick, fun read. This is a well crafted book with the perfect setting. I have no problem picturing everything and place when I'm reading a book in this series.
