Stone-Hearted Alpha

Rate this book
SAVANNAH

Lost…

All I want is to outrun the ghosts that haunt me…

But instead, my nightmares chase me into the arms of an alpha who has my wolf eager for a closer sniff, and desire overwhelming my wary human side.

I never count on a night of passion leading to a mate I don’t want, don’t need, and have every intention of rejecting. A shifter determined to drag me back to a place I swore I’d never return. A place where old enemies have resurfaced.

He’s unmovable. Stone by name. Stone by nature.

Will Jeremy, the stone-hearted alpha, be the biggest mistake of my life or the best?

Due to adult language, violence, and steamy scenes this book is recommended for 18+

Too many alphas. This universe with women alphas fighting their alpha mates doesn't make sense to me.

She says no. He says watch me make you. It’s literally that for most of the book and it’s kind of uncomfortable. You get that in the previous books but there’s something more there. Here, it’s just constant back and forth with control and it’s not super enjoyable.

3.375 shifter stars. I really like this series, but this one lost me a bit…. As evidenced by the fact that I put it down and read about 8 other books before I finished it. But… the next one looks interesting to me so I wanted to finish it and possibly go to the next!

Don't judge a book by it's cover (atleast not on Goodreads!). Not as good as first two books but still read within a few days.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. It was a quick easy read that was entertaining. The hook for the next book and couple has me eagerly awaiting its release.

Love Alphas

I love alphas and both characters are one. But, what Alpha will dominate, Jeremy or Savannah?

Hmm my bet is on Jeremy!

This one didn’t hit as good for me.

The title is a misnomer. Who is the stone hearted alpha? Oh wait. I just got it. Because Jeremy’s last name is Stone. Not because he has a hard heart. Because he doesn’t. Jeremy is a total romantic.

Savannah is also supposed to be an alpha. Even though she acts like a submissive. Why is she an alpha? I thought the story in the first two books made sense because there was brainwashing involved, but Savannah’s reaction to any threat is to run and hide or freeze. Until the very end, where she’s able to get the upper hand in a fight because she’s a secret alpha.

I have to admit, I also don’t know why she quit her job. It’s not like Jeremy is gainfully employed, or tied down. I don’t really like the idea of an independent woman sacrificing her independence to her spouse.

It’s hard to really wrap your hands around who Savannah is. Alpha or submissive? Independent or dependent? We don’t really know what she wants to be.

We also know nothing about Jeremy. What are his motivations for buying this land? His brother wants a pack, but he also wants to kill the evil pack, but Jeremy doesn’t want to be there. So when they leave, his brother is a pack of one and Jeremy is doing nothing. What is Jeremy’s past? What does he do all day? The only thing we know for sure is that he likes to build IKEA furniture.

I was concerned reading this book that I was going to come away angry because it appeared the FMC might lose/cave to the possessive and controlling MMC’s wants. And a woman giving in or losing her autonomy grates as it hits too close to real life since women are generally expected to alter their lives to suit male partners.

However, based on previous books in the series this author has proved that she has a hook she’s holding back and, well, it worked for me. I also ended up loving this MMC. I do appreciate when they can convince me.

I love wolf shifter series but they can be hit or miss as they frequently come off quite juvenile. Not this series. I’m tearing through it and enjoying the heck out of it as I do.

Savannah and Jeremy

Eva Bale has only done it again with these incredible stories that are all part of the cold blooded alpha series.

So if you haven’t read book 1&2 of Dayne and Talis story then I’d highly recommend you do so, it helps for when you read Savannah’s story.
She’s been struggling with her PTSD even then. Scars (mentally) from, years ago and then with Talis and her evil pack.

Her story isn’t as dark as Talis but she carried a lot of weight of her past and recent events. Jeremy is probably one of the least alphaholes in this series so far. Gotta love his possessive and knows what he wants attitude as I think that’s what Savannah needed.

And I’m loving how Dayne’s pack are finding their mates ❤️

Wow so Savannah and Jeremy’s story is not conventional, especially in the way they start out but it’s filled with so many emotions. We find out more about why she’s so closed off, and how she ends up mated, Jeremy is a great character and although we don’t get much of his story initially by the end we know a lot more.
Great story, plot and the characters are great. Lots of angst due to so many reasons, this book has a lot of love scenes, steamy ones. Major banter, some scary scenes and some vicious ones. Overall though we get to see a love story building which was beautiful. Loved it, highly recommend

so so

This was a quick, short book that was an okay read. It definitely felt a bit shallow and superficial, meaning, the plot didn’t feel very involved or all that important. This book was definitely a light fluff read, and the characters felt like that too. Don’t get me wrong, I do like both Jeremy and Savannah, but I didn’t feel like I knew either of them beyond the surface of who they were.

This felt more like a novella about side characters, rather than a book in its own right about its own characters, if that makes any sense. As much as I did like Savannah and Jeremy, I’m not sure that I’ll even remember them in a month or two.

This could have done with another round of editing. Certain events weren't explained properly or were abrupt, Jeremy and Jackson's names were mixed up or pronouns were wrong. It also wasn't cohesive. They realized at the end of the book that they had never had an actual conversation and then that conversation gets off-screened. I won't be reading the rest of this series.

I like a good alpha romance where the MMC is all “I go after what I want” and “you’re my mate” and pursues the reluctant FMC.

I don’t like MMCs who don’t take “no” seriously because “her body wants it.” And I don’t like romances where a woman gives up all of her independence because of a controlling man/ because her body betrays her into sticking around. I expect this kind of narrative in omegaverse and mafia romances, and I usually avoid them for that reason. I didn’t expect it with this book and I didn’t enjoy it. I honestly felt really uncomfortable and had to stop reading.

love it

I love that Savannah and now Jeremy are getting a story. It’s still a continuation from dayne and talis but different sides. A little broken, a lot flawed, and yet still beautiful. I’ve known since the beginning that Savannah’s sorry would be hard to hear. And I knew that just by his reactions, Jeremy would be perfect for her. And the bad guys keeps dropping like flies and I LOVE IT!!! It keeps looking brighter and prettier. And I cannot wait to see what is going to happen with that gorgeous brother and the submissive we all love!!!

After reading Cold hearted alpha and the next book and being left with that bomb at the end about Savannah I was looking forward to reading this book. And it did not disappoint. Love the story and this author's writing style. So didn't expect Timid scared Savannah to be as strong as she is. Loved Jeremy's personality and his brother mind due we don't see much of him but I'm looking forward to reading his book. Called it about the matching with Regan before I read the end lol

What is it about these alphas??

Now, I am not one to like being told what to do, but the way these alphas have been written, they definitely get me hot under the collar! Good story as well as the romance and spicy bits. I really like how they make the female character take no crap from the alpha, no matter what he does, but for some reason, they do with everyone else. It's still a good read, and I love the series so far

I did find this book enjoyable and easy to read. Love Alpha males and them being overprotective. I love mated love and werewolves. When I really feel like my brain is mush and don’t really want to think so much but want to keep reading werewolves stories are one of my to-go stories. I did find FMC sometimes quite frustrating and I did not like her so much but the overall story was entertaining.

I find the book really good, but i can only give it 3 stars because it’s reAlly annoying when the author can’t get the places and names correctly. It’s clear that there are times that she wrote one city and she wanted the other one. Same with Savannah s escape when she uses Jeremy instead of Jackson.

Not understanding why Savannah doesn't want Jeremy, nor why she just doesn't tell him about Paris. Why does she want to run away? The plot makes no sense because the author never reveals anything o us. And the whole 'the sex has got to stop' thing is just so silly. Then the drugging & abduction is exactly like #2 book! Just read #2 book and skip this one.

Gosh just drawn out drama

I expected so much better than what was delivered. It was so overly dramatic. Too much for her trauma. Jeremy should have kicked Savanah to the curb.

yes!

I loved this, it was a great short read. I was mad with book 1 & 2 because I thought it really should have been 1. But keep reading the series because I do really enjoy Ms Bales writing. Can’t wait for Reagan in book 4

Okay read.

The writing flowed well and was easy to read. I just am never a huge fan of poor communication as a plot device. I’m curious enough to take a look at the next book though.

This one was a slow read I liked it but getting drawn into it like the first two didn’t happen until the middle of it although that might have been the mind set I was in. After all I did enjoy the book.

Love this series

I just find these books great they aren't too long which means I can get through 1 pretty quick when I get a couple of days. I like the characters and how they have developed the story line between all the characters great set of books

I really wished this had been dual pov. I really wish the author would stop ignoring plot holes or failing to explain flawed logic and reasoning. I still don’t care that these books are flawed I am having a blast reading them!
