High altitude electromagnetic pulse weapons were detonated above the US
The resulting wave of magnetism fried almost all e!ectronic devices and vehicles, effectively returning America 200 years in the past. Washington DC and other sites were nuked, but the President and his security staff are safe and travelling to an undisclosed location somewhere in Texas. Some people prepared for loss of power or services and have stockpiled supplies to tide them over until they can produce their own consumables. This is the story of one extended family's fight to survive in an attacked and occupied country. Very exciting storyline and an endearing cast makes this a good read!
