Pulled back into the fight, they need to travel in time to 1860 and stop a mysterious faction from planting the seed that will cause the rise of a Fascist World Order.

It's years after the Second World War, and Noah and Francesca are happily planning their wedding. That is, until Mariah shows up to recruit them for another mission. But this time, the odds stacked against them are even higher and the threat much more deadly.

A shadow organization called Novus Ordo is using time travel to change the future by altering the past. Their aim: to create a global Fascist state. Digging deep, our heroes discover that Colonel Angelo and a mysterious Suzerain — a man who just may be immortal, are behind the plot.

To stop them, the team travels to 1860 Italy with one objective in mind: to guarantee that the Unification of Italy comes off without a hitch, and then stop Novus Ordo from starting World War III in 1945. If they fail, America will fall, and a Fascist World Order will reign supreme.

Jigsaw Warheads is the second book in the Jigsaw Series, a young adult, time travel sci-fi series perfect for action, adventure, and alternate historical fiction enthusiasts.

I have been a social studies teacher, principal, and founding owner of the Grand Canyon College Preparatory Academy in Tempe, Arizona. I grew up reading and watching science and historical fiction. I am also a big baseball fan. I have combined my various passions in the Jigsaw series, which focuses on time-traveling teens thrust into major historical events—many of which never made the standard history books. I was born in New York and now live in Arizona with the love of my life Gwyn. We are both are dog people, and enjoy travel and food—Italian, Asian, Middle Eastern and Indian cuisines in particular.

The next chapter for our time guardians is fast paced and covers some very difficult topics. And poses more pieces to the puzzle. The pages seem to turn themselves as you get deeper and deeper into the story. Mariah and Noah are still saving history as each adventure unfolds. How far would you go to preserve history? These are the questions they have to answer every day. Can you live a full life having been born in one time and transferred to the past? Or jumping from time to time to lend a hand where you are needed? Will Mariah and Noah be successful is preserving the time line as we know it? Hopefully this question will be answered in the next book. Mr. Gordon descriptions of the past and the quandaries the two face are very well written and make the reader feel the confusion and strife the characters are feeling. The stories spark interest into a very dark and secret history that must not be forgotten.

Wow, It is obvious why the series is called Jigsaw especially after reading this book in the series, so many little pieces that make up the whole picture. Love the history that it is providing! In addition to the possibilities of what might of happened if one little thing is changed. These books show exactly what a small world it really is. I cannot wait to read book 3 in the series to see where it takes us.

lots of action in a cleverly plotted time travel escapade

There is lots of action in this cleverly plotted and well thought out time travel Sci-fi.
There were a few too many characters for me. That said I appreciated the very clever plot and really enjoyed walking through history through the character’s eyes.
The organisation called Novus Ordo must be stopped from altering the timeline in favour of Fascism. Like every good time travel story, Jigsaw Warheads raises all the questions of but what if...
I found this a good, imaginative read.

Jigsaw Warheads by David Alyn Gordon is a fast-paced conclusion to the previous book: Jigsaw: Beginnings. The war is over and all players are scrambling to find a place for themselves. Some are interested in disappearing, some in righting old wrong, and some in working toward a new future. The perception of the future is different for many. There is still the resistance. Memories are long and do not forget the wrongs. Lots of shooting. Lots of death. Plenty of movement from one place to another. Plenty of time-hopping. People are ready for a quiet life; the children are adjusting to a new family. The Team preparing to return to there own time, ready for a new mission. The timeline has remained stable. All is well.

A consuming narrative of what might have been. If you are a fan of science fiction, you will enjoy it. If you are a fan of history you will find it intriguing. Interesting. I recommend it.

I was invited to read a free e-ARC of Jigsaw Warheads by the author. All thoughts and opinions are mine.

Historical fiction for YA readers with a time-traveling twist! The action, adventure continues in Jigsaw Warheads, book two of David Alyn Gordon’s Jigsaw Series. Some more pieces of the puzzle come into play as our heroes, Noah and Francesca must go further back in time, this time to the year 1860. They are recruited to help stop an evil faction Novus Ordo, from changing the future by altering the past; where America and the world as we know it would disappear, becoming instead a global fascist state. This story continues the paradox inside of a paradox, mind blowing exploration of moral question; if you could go back and change history; would you?

This is the second book in a time travel series. It is rather poorly written, and has a huge number of characters that are very hard to keep track of. The time travelers have an incredible mish-mash of technology that makes little sense in context, and crucial plot points don't make much sense, such as the uranium poisoning conspiracy.

Possibly it would make more sense if you read the first book, JIGSAW BEGINNINGS, before reading this one. But as it is, I can't recommend this.

Gordan creates a great story of adventure sci-fi, and love. If you love spy stories and action, you will love this read. I love the tale that he creates that spans through time lines and shows how powerful time can be.

Warheads (Jigsaw#2) takes us further back into 1860 to stop Novus Ordo from changing the future. The action and adventure that started in Beginnings Jigsaw - Book 1 continues in this book too. It is a marvel how time travel and technology has been used effectively to make the story interesting.

Noah and Francesca go further back in time, but too many characters confuse the story. The action shifts too fast from one place to another after chapter 14, and even comes back to 2024, then goes back to 1860! It is quite difficult for a slow reader like me to keep pace with the sudden jumps. However, youngsters would be able to relate to the fast-moving action.

Warheads flows better than the first novel in the Jigsaw series and is more … confusing, because of the jigsaw effect, the large number of characters running through the book and the jumping from one timeline to another. The ‘enemy’ is still ‘stupid’ but no longer totally ‘stupid’; their actions show a little more than evil is evil, and we must crush them to save … whatever we want to save.

This is an action novel with a lot of blood and even more dialogue. And the jumping between timelines; it complicates things, it gives you a headache but, in the end, the jumping saves the book and makes it more attractive.
