Thrown together when the cunning killer closes in, Chase and Marissa will have to get over their past and rely on each other to survive a killer’s deadly game. Danger. Family. Faith. Meet the SEALs of Hope Landing. Born to protect. Destined for love. Welcome to Hope Landing, where the former SEALs of Knight Tactical Protection battle danger and tests of faith on the road to lasting love. A series of clean, inspirational action adventure romances, each guaranteed to lift your heart.
This book feels like it was rushed to publish it still had author notes about chapters and several errors. Usually I can ignore little ones but these were large like the sheriff changing genders half way through a sentence.
Plus she never explains how people figured things out just a lot of angst between the brothers and zero character development. I liked the other books in this story but this one just fell way short.
Pro Mountain Biker and Jack Reese’s younger brother, Chase Reese has lost his racing edge. Hoping to find a place with his brother on the Knight Tactical Team, he returns to Hope Landing. But all is not working as he hoped as sparks continue to fly between Chase and Jack.
When her life is threatened, human rights attorney, Marissa Harris turns to Knight Tactical for protection. A sensible decision, since her father and the owner of Knight Tactical are old friends. When she arrives in Hope Landing, she is surprised to find Chase, the young man who saved her from an attack and then ghosted her a year earlier.
As usual for this series the action ramps up quickly and continues to the end. In addition to those hunting Marissa, the team deals with a raging forest fire.
Though most of the books in this series need some editing, I continue to enjoy the Hope Landing Romantic Suspense series. It is light and entertaining though a bit formulaic, like a Hallmark romance movie. But if that is what you are looking for, I recommend it as clean, contemporary romance-suspense with Christian themes.
Chase Reese is the bad boy of this series. His brother, Jack, is forever coming to his rescue. But Chase's life finally changes as he has found faith and is starting to find connection. Marissa wants to make a difference in the world. With her work in other countries to right wrongs, she has made a few enemies. Now she is danger, but she doesn't know who the enemy is. Chance is given the opportunity to help Marissa and her cause. But he still isn't sure that he is capable. Can he give himself a chance to right wrongs? The setting of this book is quite unpredictable. The plot has fascinating elements. But I wish the Chance and Jack would have talked more and made realistic progress in their relationship. A pretty good ending to the series, but it could have used a bit more brother bonding. This book is a part of Hope Landing series. While it could be understood as a stand alone, I think it is more enjoyable if all books are read in order. The book is clean suspense with faith elements and a bit of romance.
Marissa Harris, a Human Rights Attorney and founder of an International Foundation to help impoverished people, receives a death threat. Her father, a multimillionaire, hires Knight Tactical Protection to keep her safe.
During the first meeting with Knight Tactical, Marissa sees Chase Reese who ghosted her in France. Chase a former champion mountain biker is now working with his brother Jack at Knight Tactical. Chase saved Marissa’s life in France and her father wants him to help keep Marissa safe.
There is plenty of drama, action and suspense in this book to keep you reading until the end. I like how their faith plays into their everyday life.
Wild Landing is a standalone; however, it would be beneficial to read the other books to get to know all the characters.
All his life Chase has been angry and living a daredevil life. His athleticism and courage are superior but he’s been a drifter without any home ties. Finally a serious accident landed him in Hope Landing with his brother Jack and the Knight Tactical Team. Astonishingly one of the clients they take on is the beautiful woman he rescued in France then disappeared from her life. Jerome Harris has hired Knight Tactical team to protect his daughter, Marissa due to threats on her life. Thrown together on this assignment will Chase and Marissa dance around their attraction or be honest with each other? What will happen when they have to depend on each other to survive? Will Chase finally hear God’s truth that he is loved and does matter? This story is an excellent finale to the Hope Landing series!!!
Wild Landing was a great one. When Marissa finds herself in danger, the Knight Tactical team is pulled in to protect her. Imagine her surprise when she arrives in Hope Landing to discover that Chase, who rescued her from an attack and then ghosted her in France a year ago, is Knight Tactical's newest recruit. Chase, a new believer, is doing his best to turn his life around after his former career ended. He and Jack experience family angst, and Chase is struggling to fit in and see if Knight Tactical is where he belongs. I enjoyed the danger and intrigue.
Edie James has done it again with the story of Jack’s younger brother Chase in the next book of the Hope’s Landing series, Wild Landing. If you have been reading this series you will know Jack and Chase have had some differences in their past. That hasn’t changed but add in the the strong, determined Marissa and things heat up fast! Of course the plot is filled with twists and turns along with lots of tense action. You’ll definitely want to read this book, Wild Landing.
Well this series is a wild ride!! But in a extremely good way!! When you start to read one of Edie's books all the stuff going on around you falls away!! You are immersed with Chase and Marissa in the fight for their life! I just love to see how the characters grow and develop.
Edie motivates you. Inspires you. Makes you want to be a better person. This is not just a fluff feelgood story, no it is a stir your faith, grow deeper story! I deffinitely recommend Edie's books to everyone!!
I have really enjoyed this series. Lots of adventure, lost of intrigue. The heroes are genuine heroes with human weaknesses and the bad guys who are seriously bad. But you don't really know who THE real bad guy is. But she does a great job of catching you off guard. It is definitely one of those that can keep you from getting practical things done. But... OK, just one more page. 😂
Absolutely loved Chase and Marissa’s story. Chase saves Marissa from an attacker while they were both in France. Then he ghosts her when she wants to meet up again. When the stalker ends up continuing to keep her in his crosshairs, her dad hires the Knight Tactical Team for protection. Marissa is surprised to see Chase is one of the members assigned to keep her safe. Will she be able to keep her heart safe while he is protecting her?
The story is a good conclusion to the series and I greatly enjoyed seeing Chase come into his own. This would have been a 5 rating if it hadn’t had a few weird copy edit errors such as one sentence chapter summaries beside the chapter number giving away what happened in that chapter in a few instances and a few other typo type things I never noticed in the early books in the series.
This is such an entertaining book. The characters are wonderful and their faith is displayed gently. There is suspense and excitement as we follow Chase's winding path to find himself and find his way to Marissa with danger mixed in. This is another enjoyable book in this series.
Wanted the final saga of Hope Landing to be something special, however the novel seemed to sag under its own weight. Glad everything worked out in the final episode, but the storyline just did not seem special. Again, disappointing. Recommended only because the narrative brought everything together.
This one was the weakest of the series for me. The chemistry between this couple isn't obvious on page and they don't become particularly close in the few days of suspense. It made it a hard "sell" that they were great together long-term. There's hardly any page time for the team and Chase's ending seems to be more of trying-another-new-thing than showing him actually settled and peaceful.
I really liked this story. I’m a big fan of Edie’s work. The whole series has been amazing. This book is well written, action packed, and full of suspense. I loved the characters. I know you will love it.
Chase's story is just as compelling as the rest of Knight Tactical's! Your heart will go out to the "misfit," while you stay on the edge of your seat as the drama unfolds.
This has been a great series and what a great ending, except I am sad to have their stories end. Edie James has done it-she had left us wanting more! This series is a must read!
Chase and Marissa bring a fabulous conclusion to the Hope Landing Romantic Suspense series! I’ve enjoyed getting to know each of the guys while they find love as they solve mysteries and save lives. Awesome series with incredible, suspense filled romances!
Chase wanted approval from his older brother, but never seemed to get it. After retiring from racing, he comes home. What a great ending to the series. Good clean romance.
I have read all the books in the Hope Landing series and enjoyed each one. Loved the setting and the intertwined characters. Great suspense, clean romance and faith make a great combination,.
This is hard as I loved all the books!!! The stories, intrigue of if they were going to make it past each challenge facing them. Their believes to help them through each one. Totally awesum 😎
This series, Hope Landing, was a “can’t put it down adventure”!Action, romance, intrigue and through it all God reined supreme! The characters were real and honest having shortcomings as well as goodness. I highly recommend all 8 books in the series.
Ideal to read back to back, this is the story of Chase, Jack’s brother. I really liked the story. The relationships and the struggles were realistic. There was some suspense but it wasn’t too intense. I really enjoy her books. Definitely recommend it. Clean.
A nice ending to the series. Was waiting for Chase’s story. Marissa was an interesting character with just enough spunk for Chase to peek his interest. Will miss the Knight family, it’s been a good group of Christian men and women with lots of thrilling situations.
If there was trouble to get into, poor Chase was always to blame per Jack. Even since Jack got got married and they had a baby, poor Chase was still to blame. Well, in this wild and scary story, I think the odds are hopefully in Chase’s favor. Enjoy enjoy enjoy.
I have enjoyed this whole series. The story lines are good and unique to each book. The author does not follow a format and that is a good thing. This final book of the series has been edited much better and I was finally able to give a five star rating.
