Fastball- Noun: A pitch thrown at or near a players maximum velocity
Neither Josh nor Harper knows what their relationship would become, but over time they’ve relied on each other to pick the other when the world seems to want to keep them apart.
Nothing is ever easy when it comes to love and when secrets are revealed, relationships will be tested and the pressure might just become too much.
Their love is strong, but sometimes these things need to turndown so something better can rise from the ashes.
S.A. Clayton lives in a small town outside of Toronto, Canada with her husband and her scary large collection of books that seem to take over every room. She has worked on both sides of the publishing industry, both in a bookstore and for actual publishing companies. Although she loved both for different reasons, she found that writing was her true passion and has spent the last few years breaking into the industry as best she can. She is a lover of all things romance and began her writing journey in her late twenties. Since then, she has immersed herself in the romance genre and couldn't be happier. When she's not writing or reading, she enjoys binging a great Netflix show (Stranger Things anyone?), baking (because who doesn't love cookies!), and spending time with her family.
Each book in this trilogy was a super quick read, but this book was by far my favorite. Where the first two books were centered around the couple and navigating how to even be together despite everything against them, this book included more of the outside world and developed the plot extremely well. Josh and Harper hasn't had it easy from the start between her rules to not date baseball players and the unknown outside force trying to break them up.
Josh. This man has loved Harper from the start and knew she was it for him. He made no apologies for it and fought to keep Harper despite whatever stacked against them. He is possessive, protective, and a filthy talking baseball player that checks all the boxes.
Harper. I love how fierce she has been when it comes to loving Josh despite being against all her rules. She knew Josh was different and I loved watching her character growth throughout this trilogy but this book solidified it.
I didn’t realize this book was part of a trilogy when I got it. That being said, I feel the beginning could’ve benefited from a brief intro into what had previously happened with these characters.
I felt like I was reading randomly placed chapters, with no connection nor content between them, and it made no sense at all.
fastball /ˈfɑːstbɔːl/ noun a baseball pitch thrown at or near a pitcher's maximum speed.
One will do whatever it takes to usurp the top spot, while another will go to extremes to ruin someone else’s life.
FASTBALL is the third book in Author SA Clayton’s Stadium series, the third book about Harper Stevens and Josh Anderson’s fight to just love each other and be left the hell enough alone. But nothing will ever be that easy for them. It seems that not only was their love thrown a curveball, but the hits are coming fast. This is not a stand-a-lone, and you will definitely need to read HARDBALL and CURVEBALL first, both of which I thoroughly enjoyed.
Even though their romance has only seen a short time line, they are both strengthened by each other, and I was so much happier with Harper as a character this time round. All the way through, Josh has been steadfast in his love and honesty, whereas on occasions in CURVEBALL, I found Harper’s behaviour to be disappointing. Not so this time. She was strength and bravery. In wanting to show her love and support for Josh, she put herself out on a limb, and in this particularly poignant and beautifully written scene, I was in tears. It was such a watershed moment for her, finally having her eyes opened to what baseball had meant to her father, not what baseball had taken from her. Truly, deeply emotional.
FASTBALL is also where I also got the answers I’d been waiting for, and I was not disappointed. This is why I love sports romances so much. 5 Stars ⚾️
Josh & Harper have gone through the fire on their journey of love, and unfortunately, it's not quite over yet. Since Fastball is the continuation to their story, they've developed into relying on each other when times get tough, and lawd knows, it's about to get tougher this round. Not everyone is happy about them being together, not to mention there are a lot of secrets that don't make friends on the verge of coming out that have the power to derail everything they've already built to this point. I was on the edge of my seat devouring all the pages as I needed to know, and to stop feeling their pain like it was my own. I can't state how much I love when authors pen a story that has me experiencing all the stuff happening, and S.A. Clayton is one of those who knows how to draw us into the story, feeling every last emotion so you don't want to miss out. Of course since Fastball is the continuation of Josh & Harper's story, you can't start with this book, you must read them in order! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
This is the 3rd book in this amazing series and is a continuation of Josh and Harper’s story. Josh is a sexy baseball player, while Harper is a part time gym owner, who is struggling to move on from her past. These two do not have an easy relationship with another source determined to break them up permanently. Josh and Harper have relied on each other to pick each other up when things are tough, but when secrets are revealed will this be the end of their relationship? This is a beautifully written tale which this author has done an outstanding job in weaving. This story is filled with emotions, intrigue, suspense, challenges, secrets, mystery, and love, which all leads to an addictive page turner. I was totally captivated throughout his story, and I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend this talented authors’ work for all.
This is the second book in the boys of summer series. Derek is the pitcher and Callie is a divorce lawyer. Derek is an older player and isn't into hooking up and that the younger players are into. He meets Callie and it's instant that there is a connection and he wants more with this woman. Callie has some hang-ups about dating and relationships that are understandable for her given her past. She wants to try dating because she tired of hooking up with men and when she meets Derek and all the rules she set up for herself go out the window. These two have a spark that hooks you through the book. Derek is this strong leading man that does make some mistakes in relationship 101 but he is sure a great character. I feel for Callie she had a horrible childhood that shaped her view of relationships and dating which affect how she deals with her relationship with Derek. I love that Emma is there to help her and see what she needs to do.
I really loved this book and read it cover to cover in a few hours. I was hooked to the spark Derek and Emma have and wanted them to figure it out and have a HEA they deserve. I loved the first book in this series and I love this one. Can't wait to read book 3. Check out this series today!
This is the final book in the Stadium Series and it did not disappoint!!!
Harper and Josh are finally together and nothing will break them apart! They are determined to find out who keeps sending them pictures, but they are in it together not alone. Also, with Josh's game starting to struggle he will not give up Harper no matter what.
These two are on fire. Seriously, they have so much chemistry that they can never keep their hands to themselves. They know that they have each other no matter what, so they finally feel secure about everything else going on. They will work together to figure out who is sending the pictures and what they really want. It was nice finally seeing them working together and not keeping anything from each other.
The last book and conclusion to Josh and Harper's story. If you think the second book has a lot of obstacles against these two getting their HEA, then you're not going to like this one. There are more challenges standing in their way that just might test their relationship and risk their careers.
I loved how their story ended. It shows that their relationship is stronger and they need each other. I finished reading it in just one sitting.
The final book for Josh & Harper finished off everything beautifully. Questions were resolved, and honestly I was certain I knew all the answers leading up to this book, but as the story progresses I realized I knew absolutely nothing. And I couldn’t have been happier really. But after finishing this book I truly hope Mel & Will end up with their own story soon. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.

We finally get the final book in Harper and Josh's story and I felt like it was a long time coming. After everything they've been through, their story gets harder before it gets better. They are perfect together but sources conspire against them and I liked seeing them grow and push to be together.
