Since the dawn of time, creatures large and small have desired to take flight. Long before the invention of the airplane, the mighty pterosaurs were the first flying vertebrates and the largest flyers ever. How could these excellent flyers master the difficult trick? How did their body adapt to flying? In their millions of years of flying, how did they evolve further? Join the passionate pterosaurs throughout the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous periods as they evolve into the greatest flyers of all time. Age of Pterosaurs follows the great achievements of the pterosaurs who believed in the power of their dreams. Through its beautiful illustrations and inspirational stories of the pterosaurs' reign over the skies, this second volume from the PNSO Field Guide to the Ancient World makes the perfect gift for any dinosaur enthusiast!
A fantastic and beautiful book about pterosaurs. It follows the same format of Age of Dinosaurs and does just as excellently at presenting the information. These books are fantastic for younger readers who love dinosaurs. I cannot express enough have beautiful the art is in these books.
I would like to thank Brown Books for providing me with an ARC.
The artwork is incredible, as with its PNSO Field Guide to the Ancient World companion book about the Age of Dinosaurs. There are times when I turn the page and literally gasp in awe at the beauty unfolding from each page.
