Brynn can see and talk to ghosts. Sometimes this gets a bit scary but her cat Bernie helps. This story was puzzling as the murder was not what it seemed. Brynn and her new boyfriend, along with Bernie, were able to sort it out. Looking forward to reading the next one.

Wow! Ghosts, murder and more!

I tried coming up with a clever title for my review but am still recovering from all the action in the book. I thought it would be a cute mystery. It turned to be as twisty as the mountain passes the cabin is set on. I love Bernie! I need to find out more! This is a great series. Lve it!

Simplistic writing and story

Of course the story is pure fantasy and very lighthearted. That said, the writing is amateurish and the characters shallow. She writes dear when meaning deer. There were several incomplete sentences that reflect either poor editing or poor copying to ebook format. This book is definitely for middle school or younger.

Once you start on these books, I think they’re hard to put down. You want to see what happens to Brynn next. I’m so looking forward to the next book in this series.

Cute series with basic character development. Introduction of multiple ghosts to solve their murders and helping them to "move on". Short, easy read. A few new tricks for Brynn will most likely open new aspects of the sleuthing in the upcoming books.

Great series! I’m on book four now and racing through the fourteen books! I love her writing. This book has the main character seeing and talking to ghosts and in this book she can talk to the cat, Bernie! It’s such a good mystery series!

Another cute cozy mystery by Courtney McFarlin. These books are quick and fun reads that I really enjoy as a break between scary murder thrillers. This one may have a ghost bear creature haunting the cabin that Brynn needs to find out about. A few scares for some of the books regulars but Brynn and her cat Bernie get to the bottom of the haunting.
