Clementine Cooke has a LOT going on. First, a mysterious wizard needs her help. Second, she’s still reeling from her break up with Rufus Mayes. On top of all that, she’s got her house ready to flip.
When can a gal get some rest?
Looks like no time soon. Because a bidding war has broken out on her house. When one of the potential buyers winds up dead, suspects abound. Is the killer someone who wanted the property, or is the death related to the wizard who needs her help?
For Clem to solve this case she’s going to need extra assistance—the kind only Rufus Mayes can offer. Will their working together bring them closer or will it push them farther apart?

I last read a book in this series about 2 years ago and in that time I've read at least one thousand books. So, understandably I was worried I'd need to start over again at book one in order to remember everything. Although that is partially accurate, once I was about halfway through, snippets if occurrences from the first seven books swam through my mind.
The last read, which was book seven, Clementine used her magic to close a portal of evil. I recall there being a barn and the portal was on the side of it. I also remember something about a house that Clem worked on (her grandma's) being redone with a long porch to connect another house to it. I think. That part may have been another series.
But anyway, this book can be read as a standalone anyway, so me remembering everything isn't necessary - it just helps to get to know the characters better when you've got a backstory.
In this read, a wizard quite literally steals Clementine away from her grandma's party and proposes that Clem feed him her magic, because he says she's very powerful. She tells him she'll think it over and she actually does contemplate on whether she'll take him up on his offer.
In the meantime there's a bidding war over one of Clem's house flips and the winner (Destiny) winds up in a horrible situation shortly after she signs for her new home. The other bidders are livid and sad for losing the house to Destiny because Destiny already owns many houses in town and she doesn't need another.
And what important information was Destiny planning on telling Clem about the wizard she'd met earlier? Clem can't ask Destiny now because she's... unavailable.
Oh! And then there's the ex-evil wizard, Rufus who also happens to now be Clem's ex-boyfriend. But Clem still loves Rufus and now she needs his help with all things magic, since she rarely uses her powers. But she doesn't want to seem like a damsel in distress and it's also difficult for her to be in his presence without craving his hot bod and his heart. What's a girl to do?!
Then there's Clem's grandma and the grandma's best friend. The best friends get into an argument that may tear them apart forever.
So much going on in such a short book!

This is an entertaining supernatural cozy mystery series. If funcaster characters and then entertaining Shoreline. This series is a spin off of a sweet tea which is cozy mystery series. The main character is a witch who had an interaction with one of the peripheral characters from that series who has reformed his ways and became a better person. Read on and follow as their adventures continue. Our main character renovate old homes and barns into new ones and helps keep their town safe as well as getting into trouble with her grandmother and her grandmothers friends. A fun and entertaining Siri check it out.
I used to really like this series but it's completely gone into terrible plot lines. I couldn't finish this book. Why would an author destroy the whole series romantic storyline? I stopped reading because no matter what happens I'll still hate how Rufus treated Clem. I've found it's usually women who treat men badly in real life.
Clem is whisked off by Miles who makes her an offer she has trouble outright accepting or refusing. She and Rufus are still broken up and she is heart broken. However, she needs his help because someone has been killed. This was a cute story, I thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend it.
In this book by Amy Boyles, Clementine is abducted and asked to use her magic to keep a wizard alive. Of course she finds out that he hasn't told her everything. I love how she refuses to take the easy answer and investigates even when the police don't believe a crime has been committed. This was an amazing read
Witch it or List it Magical Renovation Mysteries book 8 by Amy Boyles
This was another. I highly recommend all her books and different series. She writes great paranormal mysteries. She has a great cast of characters in every book. She writes wonderful books and has a great imagination. Diana Romano
Book 8 in the highly entertaining Magical Renovation Mysteries series was an interesting story. With the potential for a future 'war's between magical and non magicals plus the obligatory evil villains, there was, and is, plenty to keep Clementine busy.
I look forward to reading the next book in this awesome series.
I really like this story. While it was filled with murder and evil, it was still lighthearted. It had magic and mystery, witches and wizards, and a snarky, but lovable cat.
It's a story what more do you need to know. Oh ok here goes:- It's a sad story It's a witty story It's got a talking dog It's got three batty old women It's got a couple of villains
This is a well written and developed characters. The story is catching and with the strong characters makes for a very enjoyable read. Great Reading Everyone!
