As a child, Kiran was never convinced that a single worldview held all the answers. Despite the stigma held by his family and community of religious colonists, Kiran grew fond of witches who lived nearby. Struggling to find balance between his religion and the worldview held by the outcasts, he comes face to face with life and death choices. When one matronly outsider is executed before his eyes, he begins to question his own sense of justice. Years later, as foretold by the condemned witch's curse on the colony, beasts of unknown origin and power begin terrorizing his home, causing Kiran to search desperately for answers. If he doesn’t find a way to stop the beasts, the death toll could mount for generations to come. Although he is uncertain of how the beasts came into existence and where he may find the power to stop them, Kiran will pay any price to protect his colony.
Brent Miller has enjoyed writing since childhood. At thirteen, he wrote his first novel, and he was first published at sixteen. With that experience, he was able to appear on the news, speak to groups, and hold multiple book signing events - and he fell in love with the idea of being an author.
Since then, Brent attended college and earned a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering. After college, he obtained a black belt in Tang Soo Do and started an Engineering career. Those life experiences, and any set for the future, fuel his writing and bring his stories to life.
