Actress Pippa Holliday lives in a 2.5 million dollar oceanfront home with her 4 year old son Cooper. After saying goodnight to her last guest from a dinner party, she is murdered. Two weeks later, Pippa's sister Greer hires private investigator Georgiana (Gigi) Germaine to investigate since the police have no leads. Then, another killing. Gigi notes similarities between these killings and the work of a serial killer in prison.

I've read one of the books in this series. I missed something because Gigi was a detective in the one I read so I suspect these need to be read in order. I like the trio of female former detectives. The story is lighter reading than an action packed thriller. Even though a serial killer is here, the method of killing insures no gruesome crime scenes. Gigi did a good job of investigating and I didn't know the killer before it was revealed.

Georgiana Germaine, now a Private Investigator, get her first case and boy does it turn out to be a doozy.

Big changes for GiGi and the series since the first couple of books. I really liked where the author is taking GiGi and the series. Two female friends have decided they want to come work for her and with three strong women you know the cases are going to get solved in interesting ways.

The murder that starts this book off took so many twist and turns you were just hanging on to the "oh shit" bar for the duration.

Cant wait for the next book!!

Little White Lies is a really compelling read, could not put the book down. Felt like I didn't miss too much by jumping into book 4 of a series.... and now I want to go and read the rest of the books! Really great character development - the murder mystery was good....plenty of clues but not so many that the murderer is easy to spot early on. Highly recommend, and if you have read the earlier books....GiGi is going through transition out of the police force so there are plenty of changes coming up in Little White Lies!

Bought this as soon as I could and read it in one sitting! Such a big fan of the author and really enjoyed this one. It was great to have more of the characters from the previous books and the introduction of the new detective was done well too. Can't wait for more adventures of the Badass Beauties in the next book 😉

I was very pleased to see that there was a new addition to this series. Georgiana Germaine is a very complex character with an interesting backstory. This series gets better with every book. You can read this book as a stand-alone as she is starting a new chapter in her life as a private detective. In her first case, she is hired by the sister of a murder victim to investigate the murder. Unfortunately, investigating this case crosses with her former boss at the police station. There are so many twists and turns as the story unfolds. I was so involved in the story that I was awake reading almost all night to find out the ending!

Georgiana is starting a new chapter in her life, one as a private detective. Having left the police force due to a clash of personalities between herself and her new boss, she's doing what she did only now she's her own boss. Unfortunately, when her first case comes in, she's still having to deal with the jerk. Of course she doesn't have to answer to him any longer, she still has to play nice. As for the case itself, an up and coming actress is found dead outside by her pool, shortly after Georgiana realizes it resembles the crime scene from decades earlier. Could it be related? She intends to find out the connection. As is the case with most of the books by this author, she starts the book from the victims perspective setting the scene for the murder. (No violence is displayed.) Georgiana works hard to find a motive, deciphering lies from truths, as well as ruling out the suspects as she puts together the profile of the murderer and their possible motivation. Great characters (both the good and the bad.) It's a quick and easy ready, and with the exception of the first chapter, it's taken entirely from our Protagonist's POV. The vibe of the book/series is a little more suspenseful than a cozy. It's also more 'real' than cozy's but it is a safe read. No sexual content and no violence (though there is a scene where guns are involved.)

This one started out a lot slower for me than the previous book in the series and it took me around the halfway mark to be fully intrigued by it. I will say that this one felt a bit repetitive to me, especially after just reading the third one. One of the quotes was almost a direct copy from one in the third book, it was when we were getting re-introduced to Lilia Hunter in this book. I remember some semblance of that sentence being in the first two as well, although it has been a bit longer since I have read those ones. I did not guess who the suspect was here though, so props for keeping me guessing. I did notice some grammatical issues in this one, but nothing too excessive. Overall, wasn't an awful read but wasn't the best either.

This series gets better and better with each book! Gigi is starting off as a PI after leaving the police dept. On her very first case the bodies keep falling including her client . This story was as suspenseful and kept me guessing and reading till the very end . I could not put it down and now cannot wait for the next story.

For once, I'd like to guess who the murderer is in this series. The clues are all there, but I get so caught up in the story and the characters that I miss connecting it all. I like that GiGi is holding her own against the new police chief, and that detective Foley isn't so bad. It will be interesting to see how Gigi, Hunter, and Simone do starting their own detective agency.

As mysteries go and figuring out who the killer is, this is a decent story. But I realized my true measure of how good a book is for me personally is if I can't put it down and read straight through. Unfortunately, I had no trouble putting this book down several times.

For some reason, I couldn't connect with these characters. Correction. I connected with Pippa at the beginning, then she dies. The main character Georgiana felt as though she were floating through life, lost. Sure, she just opened her new PI agency. On the surface, she appears determined. But something underneath it all...I never felt any passion from her. It's like she wants to keep everyone at arms' length, and she's somewhat dismissive of those she should be drawing close to. Simone, for one. And her partner, Giovanni. I could accept this if only she'd let the reader in and not be so closed off to us too.

Although the story is a good one, I'm not sure I care enough about the people populating it to read anything further. If you love a good serial killer mystery and don't really care about delving into the crime solvers' lives too much, this would be an excellent read for you.

Little White Lies is another attention grabbing, well written book by Cheryl Bradshaw.

Pippa is an actress who is murdered after she hosts a party. Pippa is the first of a few women murdered in copycat fashion.

Ms. Bradshaw leads the reader via the main character, Georgiana Germaine's sleuthing carefully through the murders until Georgiana finally realizes, by talking with her old buddy Silas, who the killer is.

Well crafted, well written story with even more fleshing out of Georgiana in terms of what she would do or not do in a particular situation her boyfriend Giovanni asks her about.

This book is part of a several book book series starring Georgiana Germaine as a private detective. Each book I've read is completely stand-alone. I look forward to reading the other Georgiana Germaine books.

Two sisters are murdered copying the method of a long imprisoned serial killer. Why are they being targeted? And when a third woman is killed, the victims seem unconnected. GG is now a private investigator and this is her first big case. Two friends also unhappy working for the police department join her in creating an agency. The three each have their strengths that lead GG to uncovering the murderer. I have to say I guessed the murderer pretty early on, but the reasoning was off. I also think that t it kind of seems ridiculous that the murderer would come after these women so many years later. Despite that, it was a good story, and I like the direction the author is taking the characters.

An absolute heart in your throat thriller! I enjoyed the absolute heck out of this book.

I felt what Gigi felt, frustrated and I knew she was getting close to finding the killer but I had no clue. It's a refreshing mystery when you cannot easily figure it out and it gives your brain something to chew on.

This is my first Cheryl Bradshaw book and it definitely won't be the last. What a rollercoaster of emotions!

All of the characters were fantastic. I even liked Wolf, though she was a bad guy in the story.

Interesting plot, loved the twists and turns. What a rush!

I absolutely loved this book. I wholeheartedly recommend it!

I love this series and watching Georgiana grow with each story. This is her opening as a private investigator and of course her first case is complex and full of suspects. There isn't a lot of Giovanni in this one, it focuses more on the case and Gigi. There are plenty of twists to keep you guessing. And there are a couple surprises to love as well. On top of everything there is a new detective in town. Things are bound to get messy. The ending was perfect and upped my excitement for the series.

A great read by Cheryl Bradshaw as are all of her books. A woman who worked as a detective in a loval police department had left the agency and is going on her own. She is not a stranger to solving crimes, murder in particular. There are killings of women going on by poison and Georgiana believes their murders are done by a copycat perp, a woman. She forms a detective agency with two former colleagues and she goes after the killer. Quite the surprise at the end as to who the perp is. Great short read!!

This is the 4th book in this series and they just keep getting better. Gigi has left the police department, with Blackwell as the new chief I don't blame her, and has decided to be a private eye. She is hired by the sister of Pippa Holliday to look into her murder. She barely gets started before her client is murdered. I really enjoyed this mystery and the direction Gigi is taking her life. Looking forward to more in this series.

Georgiana Germaine's first case as a new detective is trying to find out who murdered the sister of her client Greer. Not long after Greer is also murdered. Even though she has lost her client it doesnt stop her from investigating the murders. The murderer is a copycat of a female serial killer Gigi's dad put away years before, which brings her to the jail to interview Atticus Wolfe. As much as i thought i may have solved it, the ending turned out to once again be a surprise.

Another great mystery with Gigi.

I wasn’t sure how this would play out since she quit being a cop. But what what a fast paced wild ride. I love the direction the author is going with this series. I like her becoming a PI. The addition of her friends coming on board will be fun. I hope we delve into them a bit more.

It’s also good to see Gigi moving a bit forward since her daughters death. This series has gotten better with each book. I’m looking forward to more!

5 stars for Little White Lies (Georgians Germaine Book 4). Another fast paced mystery filled with twists and turns from beginning to end. Read it all in one day. Especially like that the subject of bullying was addressed and sites for help were given at the end. Looking forward to the next book.

Georgiana gave up being a cop to become a private investigator. GiGi was hired to solve a murder, the employer then becomes the second victim in the crime spree. GiGi did not give up until the case was solved. This book has many twists and turns as she finds who committed the murders and why the murders were committed

Disturbing

While we see these things happen in real life it's scarey how accurate Cheryl brings to life this psychopathic murderer, being a copycat to bring attention to thierselves. At one point you are almost as desperate and frustrated as Georgiana, the deceive in the story. Excellent story development and tension.

Have read a few books by this author and have yet to find a bad one. This is one of those stories are hard to put down… you just can’t wait to see what happens next. I gotta say that the killer surprised me in a way and in a way, she was on my shortlist. Great book and would definitely recommend you read it

An engaging mystery in which an ex-police detective Georgiana Germaine and her two friends team up to discover and stop a serial killer. Likeable characters, nice pace, but it could have a bit more description, seldom felt I was there. I liked the mystery and plot, even if it derives much of from "Silence of the Lambs," only not as creepy. Recommended for a light murder mystery.

Gi Gi is a PI now, licensed and legal and is on the case looking for a serial poisoner. Her old police boss is still hateful but the new man Foley is a bit of an unknown and seems to be on her side. Her new business is expanding with the help of her friends who want in with her on the action. Good plot and characters well thought out and a compelling read.

If you like bad ass broads and murders by the bag full, then this is the book for you. Full of Twists and turns and better still, serial killers. You gotta love a psychopath, always good to add to the mix. I love being around Gigi and her team. Fast moving, exciting book. Hard to put down.

This book was great! There were so many options on who the killer could be, I didn’t even know where to begin with guessing. I think the author did a great job with the interview with the serial killer. I imagine that is exactly how an interview with a high IQ killer would go lol. I will definitely be looking for more books by Cheryl Bradshaw!

These is a fantastic book and story continuation. I really like the growth of the characters. I did think the “mob” connection was very downplayed in this book. I also found it interesting that the “alternative housing” played a part in this.
