Kendra Moreno is secretly a spy but when she’s not dealing in secrets and espionage, you can find her writing her latest adventure. She lives in Texas where the summer days will make you melt, and southern charm comes free with every meal. She’s a recovering Road Rager (kind of) and slowly overcoming her Star Wars addiction (nope!), and she definitely didn’t pass on her addiction to her son (she did). She has one hellhound named Mayhem who got tired of guarding the Gates of Hell and now guards her home against monsters. She’s a geek, a mother, a scuba diver, a tyrannosaurus rex, and a wordsmith who sometimes switches out her pen for a sword.
If you see Kendra on the streets, don’t worry: you can distract her with talks about Kylo Ren or Loki. #LokiLives #BringBackBenSolo

Another book of shorts. My favorite was the story going back to Smee and Pete falling for each other. I LOVED it. I also enjoyed the first story, Bane's. I hope he finds some real redemption. March's story was super sad, poor bunny never had any real happiness until he found his Pretty Lilly. And the last story was kind of another epilogue/tie-in to the next series.
I havld been counting down to reading this book when it was first announced. I needed to read more of Neverland and Wonderland. And then, to be introduced to one of my other favorite lands of all time - Oz! Yes, totally having a moment over here. Wonderland and Oz have been my top 2 favorites forever, with Neverland right behind them. There may be some spoilers with this review as there are 5 stories included in this book.
Monstrous as a Croc: Wow, can I just say how much I loved the new side of Bane/Croc? I was seeing him as if through new eyes. Seeing the man he could have been if not for being the crocodile. But then, he needed to be the crocodile to help him be the man that he is in this story. And then there is the witch. I didn't see part of that coming. I can't wait to learn more about this character. I'm so excited to see what happens next!
The Original Happy Thought: I loved learning more about not only Smee and Pete, but also Hook and Wendy. We got to see inside their lives and how their friendships and live developed into what we saw in Vicious as a Darling.
The Origins of the March Hare: Now this story broke my heart in some places, and gave me hope in others. Ms. Moreno took an extraordinary couple/love story between March's parents and showed us the good, the bad, and the ugly. I had a new love for March after reading it.
The Festival of Danu: Let me just say....I Love Atlas. What he does for not only Tink, but everyone who escaped the destruction on Neverland is amazing. There was excitement and adventure in each of the couples. I was enthralled by Flam and Doe's vulnerability and love for each other.
And that bomb at the end of the book!!!! I had a sneaky feeling as I read The Festival of Danu and was happy and worried about my assumption being correct.
I can't wait for Heartless as a Tinman!!!

I loved this book, what a great companion to the series.
I won't lie, Wolfbane intrigued me from the beginning and I was never ok with the thought that he died in the previous book. Seeing him in the first story of this book was everything I wanted. I truly believe that a villain is only a hero who's story has not been told and that was proven to me in Wolfbane's story. He wasn't a bad person and while he may have been the villain in Wendy's story, he really isn't a true villain. I hope I get more of him in the next series.
The Smee and Pete story was cute, but not my favorite. It was nice to see events from a different perspective and it was well written, just not my cup of tea. I love them more as side characters.
The March Hare story was an origin story I didn't know I wanted until this series. March was a side character for me in the Sons of Wonderland series, but I was far more focused on the actual sons. But after March playing such a role in this series, I was so happy to learn more about his origins.
The final story was definitely an excuse for the writer to have a big smut story, and I was good with that. It was nice to see all the main couples form this series and the previous series having a happy moment. And the revelation at the end about Clara, I can't wait to see how that plays out.
Overall, I loved this series but that's not surprising as I'm a fan of Kendra Morneo. Her twisted world that she's weaving of my childhood places is captivating to me. I can't wait to see how she twists Oz.
4.5 stars Really enjoyed this book of mini-stories that add more depth to certain characters and it introduces a new character to the mix in preparation for "Heirs of Oz". Again makes me want to read "Heirs of Oz" even more. The fact that the worlds are merging doesn't get pushed to the sidelines in the present-day stories and it doesn't hold back on its few gory moments either. First story: An interesting multiverse pairing, with a very steamy moment, followed by an interesting development in the storyline. Second story: Really cute origin story for one of my favourite side-pairings in the "Daughters of Neverland" series and Lol, those last couple of lines had me laughing. Third Story: Really nice that we got to see a whole section dedicated to the March Hare, and his backstory, mixed with what happens when Alice shows up and his thoughts on seeing Tiger Lily. Four Story: This is basically a series of steamy smut scenes with all the pairing from Wonderland and Neverland, minus Clara and Hatter. Loved Flam and Doe inclusion in this and it's told from different points of view for every couple.
This is a nice wrap up to the Daughters of Neverland series and an intriguing segue into Oz. Seeing what happened to the Croc and from his perspective makes him a lot more likeable and I hope that we get more of him and his witch. Catching up with the other characters from Neverland and Wonderland is an added bonus that makes Kendra’s twists on classic tales so great. She intertwines these worlds together in such a creative way with characters from each world that know about each other and are willing to help each other for the greater good. There’s always a ‘happily for now’ with each book, but also a continuing over-arcing story that is set to continue in the next series. A must read if you’re following the series. If you’ve stumbled on this in your search for something to read, I highly recommend starting with Mad as a Hatter so you don’t miss the “wonder”-ful trip (see what so did there?) down the rabbit hole and so that this book makes sense.
The ending for this world, and how to better end it then with the "villain" of the whole series, we see him becoming something else now that he has lost him somewhere else then Nederland. How much does the world they live in really alter their characters? I cant wait for the next world Kendra has in store for us and learn more about Croc. ( i licked him he's mine!)
We got some other goodies as well in this book, we get to the know March Hare better and we are a part of one of Tink's celebrations, we're we see ALL our couples again. I can't tell you how much I love all these characters and the worlds Kendra created and will create in the future. (White is also mine!!) On to Oz
I loved each story in this book. It was great to finally know what happened to Bane & get a sneak peek of Oz. From the previous sneak peek from Wicked as a Pixie I assumed I knew who was going to be with Bane but dang it if Kendra didn't prove me wrong.. as usual lol. I love Smee & Pete! They are the cutest! March is one of my all time favorites & I loved getting more backstory on him! I also loved the Festival of Danu! It was awesome to catch up with each couple(especiallyDoe & Flam & Hatter & Clara)!!! As always Kendra didn't disappoint & I'm left impatiently waiting for the next book!!!
Ooohhhh I am soooo happy to see Croc alive and being awesome. This book is a companion novella with 4 short stories about our Neverland and Wonderland friends!! Most of them are together in Wonderland but our dear Croc landed in the middle of Oz right with the wicked witch!! Great introduction to a new world and I can't wait to see what happens when he reaches the others and see if he is forgiven!!
This was a great collection to the neverland series! Must read in order! (wonderland and then Neverland) All the worlds are merging and now we are heading straight to yellow brick road! Cant wait for the next trilogy in OZ!! I absolutely loved Croc🐊 and his Witch! !! Bonus stories for everyone!! Must Read!!! 🌟🌟“Darkness. Claws. Madness. Power. All the same just with a different name.”🌟🌟🌟
From the beginning of the series in Wonderland to now where we get a peek at Oz. I have been in love with this series since the beginning. I have fallen in love with characters I hated 3 books before and have learned to feel their pain and get excited when they find love. I can't wait to see where the rest of the series goes.
A series of shorts. I spent the 2 nd half waiting for the Croc to show up again and was frustratingly disappointed. This felt like a few snippets of stories that should have been described as a series of shorts instead of a novel.
Absolutely loved this series. I’ve been a big fan of Kendra Moreno books for awhile now and she never disappoints. This book is just so good. I won’t give away any spoilers but definitely read this series. You will absolutely love it!!!!
