This was another sweet installment by JM, but not too sweet compared to others I’ve read. The storyline was okay, not too catchy but it was easy and fastpaced as usual. The switch from innocent Westin to sub Westin was also immediate.
Though these two MCs didn’t really have that grip on me, I still like them regardless. Not bad or anything. They were quite mid probably because of the dom/sub trope. I could however feel the seperate connection they had for each other though. It felt personal.
IMO, dom/sub lifestyle is quite intense and too short to cover its depth in a novella but this one was yummy anyway 🤭💅 The third act angst was almost predictable but I liked it still. It’s just something about Jayda, man :’)
And the collar proposal in bdsm also got me goodddd 😮💨😫😩

I really really loved this. For one, Westin was so damn cute. Sweet and open, and the fact he was just so ready and willing to learn and trust Colt. Colt was also very sweet and his story of why he was in prison was heart wrenching. I liked how they were just falling so naturally into it, nothing felt forced about the story at all. They established hand signals to use in public and I loved that, just a little thing but it showed a way of managing a power dynamic and safety in public without having their kink out there where people don’t want to witness it without consent. I also liked the discussions about wants and needs, safe words, safety. All of it was so well done and healthy IMO.
The conflict that came up was not as intense as some of the other books in Jayda’s works, but it made sense. What Westin did to solve it was super surprising for what you assume about him but I loved it!
The book itself is well written, honestly, I’m glad I read this. Super sweet, steamy, it just hit right for me! Have no complaints.

I usually love the sweet instalove vibes I get from this author, but the sex scenes didn’t make sense to me. He’s a virgin but gets skull f***ed for his VERY FIRST experience? (Then he just gets a hand job in return, which also irked me.). Umm… no. I could’ve bought it with someone experienced or even daydreaming about the lifestyle, but he isn’t either. Then my least favorite, most unsexy line from the book - “I’m not going to prep you.” Yeah, doesn’t sound like fun. Plot was predictable and sex was a little cringe-worthy on this one.

The one thing you can always count on with a Jayda Marx book is loads of sweet boys, firm but loving Daddies, and the best HEA. This book was exactly that! I loved how Colt wanted to make a better life for himself after the mistakes of his youth and adorable Westin needed exactly the kind of care and direction that Colt offered. They were so perfect together and my only criticism would be that I'd have loved for the truth to come out about what went done with Daniel and Aaron. I think Daniel deserves to know what his partner did and how much of his life Colt lost because of Aaron's lies. Maybe that's petty of me but I think Aaron deserves a little karma! Another wonderful book in the Bad Daddies series and I'm already looking forward to whatever the author puts out next. It will be a definite one-click!

I think this author work isn’t for me.
It wasn’t bad per say, but I read without caring about the story or the characters.
I usually don’t mind insta love and all, when it’s well written, but this truly didn’t make sense to me. They knew each other for 3 days and they were saying stuff like « I love you I couldn’t do it without you » what do you mean you don’t even know him 😭😭

Skip this one and read Boss Daddy instead.
After reading Big Daddy and now Bad Daddy, I stick by my original statement that Boss Daddy was the best book out of the three. If you only read one out of the series, make it that one. It has the best storyline and the best lead-in to the two characters meeting. Bad Daddy (much like Big Daddy), just jumped right in and the insta-love was super unbelievable. I get that’s what Jayda Marx books are like, but Big and Bad both had very little character development and I was not invested in either of the couples. Now that I think about it, I don’t think I ever even finished Big Daddy and all I did was skim through Bad Daddy because I was so bored with it. I’m fine with instalove, but at least make it somewhat believable. It works well with the true mate tropes in the paranormal series and it even worked with Boss Daddy, but most of the time, it’s not going to work with two characters who meet under average circumstances and spend less than 24 hours in each other’s presence. Just sayin’.

If you don’t like insta-love low-angst happy stories then this book isn’t for you. I enjoyed this book. I thought Colt and Westin (Pup) were great together. Their chemistry was completely off the charts, as well as hot as hell, even though they were complete opposites. I really would’ve loved a bit more relationship development between them before getting to the I love you stage, as even for Jayda it was at warp speed. Colt spent 16 years prison for attempted m*rder. His ex-boyfriend Aaron was cheating on Colt with their neighbour Daniel, and Colt came home early and caught them together and Aaron lied and told Colt that Daniel forced himself on him. Colt completely lost his temper and b*at Daniel to a bloody pulp. Aaron stopped him when he told him the truth, so Colt rung 911 to get Daniel help. Daniel never regained his memory of what happened to him and Aaron lied and told him that Colt was his ex-boyfriend and he completely lost it when he found him and Aaron together.
I really wish that we saw karma paying Aaron a visit, as he totally deserves his life to go to crap for what he did to Colt and Daniel. Him and Daniel are still together and have been married for years. Westin was totally adorable and I’m glad that him and Colt found each other as they just click. I loved seeing Westin show that he cares about Colt by doing things for him, like paying for dinner. Westin was so bloody brave when Colt was accused of a crime he didn’t do, and it was a parole violation so he ended up back in jail. After Westin lost it, he decided that he needs to be brave and be strong for Colt, and help get the truth as he just knew that Colt would never do anything to risk their life together, and he knows the real reason that Colt ended up in prison to begin with, as he thought he was protecting his boyfriend Aaron. I’m looking forward to reading more books from Jayda Marx in the future. I’d recommend this book, series and author to others.

Rescued!
Westin felt like that's what happened when he walked to the garage after him car broke down. The man from under the car took his breath away and left him almost speechless. Colt felt the same when he saw the young man standing before him. Colt was a Daddy Dom and Westin had all the signs of being a submissive, all kinds of thoughts came to mind of what he could do to him. When Colt went to look at his car, he felt he wanted to spend more time with him and he also wanted to learn as much as he could about this man. Even though he felt that Westin was to good for him it didn't stop him from wanting him, when Westin asked him to dinner as a thank you he knew he should have said no yet he mouth was saying yes. That date was the beginning of their relationship, journey and life together. GOOD STORY!!😁😍

Sweet and swoon
Another lovable addition to the Jayda Marx lineup. Colt and Westin were just so sweet. Of course there is the insta-love attraction but that’s one of the aspects of a Marx book that I love.
I liked how we had an MC with some pretty sketchy stuff in his background. He wasn’t some squeaky clean guy with loads of money spoiling his boy. It made him more relatable to me. Westin was just a cinnamon roll through and through. Adorkably sweet and too good for this world. There were some yummy steamy times but even more loving moments that made Colt and Westin swoon worthy. I really enjoyed this one!

Not so Bad Daddy
This is one of those books where the book turns out to be so much more than the blurb suggests it will be. I was a bit worried that Colt would be a bit too Bad for me but he was really a sweetie and Westin was just so darn cute.
I wasn't really a fan of insta love until I started reading Jayda and I still find insta love in the paranormal series easier to buy but if you know what you are getting and expect nothing else it's not a problem . I am really enjoying this series a whole lot.

Opposites Attract
This was the third book in this series and Colt and Westin meet when Westin's car breaks down and Colt agrees to help him out. From there it's face paced instalove between adorkable Westin and mechanic Colt. Although Colt is a Daddy and likes to take care of Westin, it's Westin who decides his Daddy needs taking care of too. Together they get their HEA and you get a mini epilogue. I highly recommend this series.

A Daddy of a read
Wow Jayda has done it again this book is everything you could want to read in a Daddy story. I will not give anything away but just tell you that you need to read it increasing like now. Loved the cuteness of Weston and the total Daddyness of Colt. Highly recommend

Sweet with lots of Heat!!!
I loved the storyline, a rough around the edges ex-con and his sweet but brave boy. Colt and Weston are a perfect match and, as usual, Ms. Marx delivered on the sweet, the heat, and all the fluffy feels I love!

I am fan of Jayda Marx and any book she writes beacuse the wonderful characters, great plots and low-angst-instalove stories. Westin and Colt have a great chemistry together and I enjoyed witnessing how they got together. An amazing reading and another great addition to this series!
