Vallon
War with the gray invaders was imminent, and an even bigger threat loomed beyond the stars. We had obtained more powerful weapons and had a spacecraft at our disposal. For the first time in Valosian history, all three clans had reached a temporary accord to fight as one for the good of our world. Even with all that, it still might not be enough.

I worried over the survival of my species, and even more so for the future of the abducted human females—especially one in particular. My Elise—the one who awakened me—had a disability, making her more vulnerable than the others in my dangerous world. It would be a great honor to be her protector as she was my only light in the impending darkness that was to come. I know she feels the yearning of her spirit to join with mine, but she holds herself back, and I was too afraid of her answer to ask why.

As I watched her form silent words with elegant hands, a smile glides across my face. I felt like a fool to have not thought of this before, but what my spirit mate referred to as a disability on her world could be the key to winning the war on mine.

Elise
Vallon was in complete possession of my heart. His eyes drank me in as if he couldn't get enough of the sight of me. There was nothing I wanted more than to bond with him and be his spirit mate, but with my disability, I was a serious liability. I knew he would die trying to protect me, and his world was a most dangerous place. I couldn't allow him to give his life for mine.

Not only that, but he was of another species—one that lives considerably longer than mine. Now that we knew babies were possible on Valose, what if I was taking away his chance of finding a mate in a female closer to his own species?

Hmm..I thought this one would be my favorite out of the bunch when looking at the blurb, but I ended up feeling a bit indifferent towards it. Reading it also made me realize that there is a series of novellas connected to the Warriors of Valose Saga, and that series is Nomadican Mates , which seems to be reverse harem type of romances (so I probably won't even touch it) but I also don't think one really needs to read it to enjoy the Valose series. The Nomadicans are just briefly mentioned.

There was also new characters that were introduced, Zaku and his mate Ivy who I discovered have their own book: Zaku . They seem to know a lot more about the war going on between the Grites and the Gretolics, and they are able to shed some light on why the Valosians and rescued women are caught in the cross-fire.

I was very excited when in the first few books, it was said that Elise, heroine here, was mute. I haven't read many books with characters who have the inability to speak and whenever I see one, I feel very invested. I thought Vallon, the hero, would be attracted to her but would struggle to communicate with her, and vice versa (because of the ear translators not being able to translate Elise's sign language). I wanted to see them work together to get over that language barrier. Turned out, the issue had already been solved when the story began because Elise and Vallon had been practicing together and invented a Valosian Sign Language. They already had grown closer too. The issue between them was pretty much the same as the other had; staying on Valose with their spirit mate, or go back to Earth if the opportunity arised. So yeah, I was a bit bummed out.

Vallon was a gentle giant who cared a lot for Elise. He was very protective and desired her very much. He still waited for her to make up her mind and be sure about joining her spirit with his. He was sweet and all but I wanted more intensity coming from him.

"My most precious nula. Whether we are connected by a shawra or not, I would gladly give my life to save yours."-Vallon

On the other hand, Elise felt like Vallon deserved better than a mate who wasn't whole. Not me eyerolling at the most typical c*ckblock excuse a character can have. And she was also reluctant to mate with him because she worried that he would outlive her, she would grow grey and old, he would remain young looking. Meh. She also worried about her mother and missed her, which was understandable. I liked that she was sweet but I thought there wasn't much to her character other than that.

Being mute made me a natural introvert, whether I chose to be or not. I'd always wished to be more outgoing, but not being able to talk to people had made that hard.-Elise

Overall, not my favorite couple. I'll admit, they had a nice friends to lovers dynamic but it just sucks that we don't get to see how they came to have that sort of relationship. They had some good moments but their love story was a little bit flat. The initial chase, friendship and connection happened off-page in the previous books and it just felt like there wasn't much to show when came their turn to continue the main plot.

As always, this series must be read in order, else you won't understand what's happening. There are a lot of characters and intertwining plots within a main plot. Silver Silence wasn't bad at all, but a bit forgettable compared to the other couples. The next story will be about Rose who had been close to Zikkar in many ways since the beginning, but who will have to make a choice between him and her actual spirit mate, Wynnter who'll want to win her over. Will she succumb to the spirit mate call?

not my favorite but good

I take a star off because of the annoying push and pull of the females not wanting to accept mates and just believe they will get back home. Sorry but it’s stupid. I love Iona’s work but it’s a trope I hate.

I am intrigued by the sharp left turn she took it can either ruin it for me or make it amazingly better who knows? Not I.

Also if you are really going to complain about the “lazy” words like would you want her to write gibberish that doesn’t read well???

This book was brilliant and I love how all the characters come together in this book and everyone in this series makes me love the next male character even more than the last one. Every book and especially this has taken me on adventure to the planet Valose where the males are swoon worthy and hot and just want to find there soul mates after loosing all the females a virus which they now know came from earth. Elise is just an ordinary human who has overcome a lot in her short life by being mute she can hear just fine and when the warrior Vallon shows an interest in her she panics because she doesn’t want to be a burden to him and distract him his duties because he has to protect her all the time and pushes his advances away but she longs to be with him in her heart and soul and it kills her to see it on his face when she does. Vallon knows without any doubt that Elise is his mate and there special sign language they made together helps but he is not sure why she keeps him at arms length all the while seeing it in her eyes that she wants to be with him but he will find out what the problem is and fix it. After a meeting with Sia Jakkar he is telling Elise of his concerns he has about communicating without the enemy knowing and Elise offers to teach them sign language and it’s a brilliant idea and he drag’s Elise back to the meeting and Vallon tells them of Elise’s idea and they are excited and Sia Jakkar put this in action straight away. With the new alien Zaku that crash landed on there planet with a human female Ivy from earth tells how they came to be a couple and what happened on earth and there roll in saving earth from a virus and while they are stranded they help wherever they are needed and hopefully help save Lily’s unborn child from the rubella virus that killed all the valose females and the possibly that her child is female.
After coming back from the meeting Elise is so happy that she will be an asset not a burden anymore and she finally tells Vallon why she has been pushing him away and then she tells him that she loves him and Vallon is over the moon to finally have his mate and wants to seal there bond together forever before she changes her mind and Elise wants it to and the race to there treehouse and spend an amazing night and morning together and there bond is sealed and there bond marks are glowing and there feeling for each other is now shared. Can Elise teach the warriors in time before they try and take back the city of Huren from the evil Gretolics and now they find out that they must worry about a new threat the Yulineons who guard the galaxy and it’s planets and that they will kill the humans on site because they know to much about aliens and shouldn’t and it keeps everyone safe or so they believe. I cannot wait to find out what happens next and I look forward to finding out what happens between two warriors and one female coming up next.

This book was written from a dual perspective, switching back-and-forth between the main male and female characters. Written in first person by Iona Strom, SILVER SILENCE is the 6th book in Warriors of Valose Saga, and follows the Valosian alien Vallon and his human mate Elise.

Valosians resembled elves in human folklore, with long white hair and pointed pronounced ears, but with fangs and camouflaged scales instead of skin.

I will no longer be giving detailed reviews on these books because it's a waste of my time. Every book is the same story told over and over again, just with different characters. And if you have the mental capacity to keep up with the war behind the scenes, you're doing better than most. Truth be told, the plot has become too convoluted, making it too confusing and difficult of a story line to follow at points. Sometimes, it feels like the author changed her mind regarding facts that had already been established in prior books, so she just changed them and wrote some half-assed excuse for the change. Case in point, prior books explained that the Gretolics were trading captives for kript, but this book now claims they're being traded for rillium. Make up your damn mind and stop changing shit. 🤨🙄😕

I guess this series is worth the read if this genre of books is in your wheelhouse. It has the perfect balance of adventure and romance so long as you are able to follow the confusing plot line. I can't wait to dive into the next book in the series, mainly so I can finish it and move onto the next one. 🫶

I'm still a fan of this series. The story line is progressing we had some interesting villain plot development. Some interesting lead in for the next book in the series...will TWO hearts kick in at once?!

I really liked how Vallon supported Elise and made sure that she understood that he did not see her as having any shortcomings for being mute. He was fierce when needed and a giant softie otherwise.

My only gripe...that isn't really a gripe! I'm not sure I'm on board with every single woman in this series feeling like they are not good enough for these alien males! It's literally a "spirits given" bond that is bringing them together...it can't be denied! It's not like if they went their separate ways that the males ancillary heart would start beating all over again for another woman?! It literally only happens once and I don't get why these women think that it's wrong like "there has to be a mistake". I just shake my head each time like why do you not understand how this works you've been through it with all the other women in the tribe you've seen it happen why do you think it's a mistake!! I don't get it...I mean, I do, that's how stories work, but it still makes me yell at them each time. 😂

And the introduction of the new characters! That was super, super interesting and exciting and I was so so happy at the end to see that there is going to be a story for that character I literally was like, "YES!!!!!"

With intergalactic politics arriving on Valose, war is everywhere. Vallon has been charged with protecting the earth females since their arrival. He and Elise become good friends, but he knows Elise is his fated mate and suspects she does too. Elise is mute with no voice box and thinks Vallon doesn't deserve a defective mate. Vallon proves that not only is she special in his eyes but also the answer to the war ahead.
Fav Quote:
"You have to trust in your spirit, nula." Vallon lifted his head and looked me in the eyes. "It recognizes its match in me. If not that, then trust what you feel in your heart. This tug I see you rubbing in the center of your chest speaks volumes. If you're only withholding yourself for my sake, please don't. I would rather have a short time of happiness with you in this realm, knowing we will be together again in the next, than a lifetime of grief and die knowing you will not be there waiting for me in the Realm of the Spirits."

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - I can't stop daydreaming and telling everyone about this book.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ - A great read with all the feels. I would read again.
⭐⭐⭐ - I liked the book but wouldn't it read again.
⭐⭐ - Usually in the DNF pile or I suffered until the end for whatever reason.
⭐- Just no.

4&1\2fabulous 🌟s for Silver Silence🔥🔥💖💖

I love this series each story builds on the last and is filled with passionate strong warriors and the feisty human women who love them. Vallon is a young Valose warrior who has been guarding Elise since the beginning of the series. When she woke from her head injury vallon's second heart began beating just for her. Elise is dead she feels vulnerable and she feels like a burden because she can't speak. She loves Call in with her whole heart but fights becoming his spirit mate because she doesn't feel worthy. When Fallon finds out this is what is holding his beautiful Elise back he makes sure to show her that she is the only female for him. As their relationship grows and deepens the alien invaders begin to make trouble, old enemies appear and learning how to use sign language maybe the key to winning the war. Terrific read highly recommend I can't wait to read the next book!💖🔥💖🔥🔥💖🔥💖🔥🔥💖💖💖🔥💖🔥🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖🔥💖

Ms Strom’s Warriors of Valose series just keeps getting better. I am continually in awe of the worlds she has created - it is truly remarkable.

Silver Silence is bursting with all the action we’ve come to expect, plus a slow burn romance between Elise and Vallon. Despite her increasing attraction, Elise fights the irresistible pull to Vallon, fearing her disability will place him in greater danger. Of course, Vallon refuses to be swayed... he is really quite dreamy!!

In the meantime, things are getting tense, and the battle to retake their planet looms. Throw into the mix, unexpected arrivals, and a twist which might prove the answer to the communication issues facing the Valosian's when they attack the dome, and the result is a fast paced, brilliantly written book!

I cannot recommend this series highly enough!

I've said this time and time again, but the Warriors of Valose series is hands down the Best Sci-Fi Romance out there. It's packed with intrigue, action, world building and romance. Every new book gives us another glimpse into the perils of living on Valose. Oh, and I love the addition of Ivy and Zaku! Another alien of a different species. Heck Yeah!

Elise and Vallon stole my heart from the get go. Her feeling of inadequacy at her loss of speech was soon forgotten when Vallon was willing to learn sign language. Allowing them to communicate with one another. With every new addition, the story peels back like the many layers of an onion. Revealing more and more as the story unfolds. I can't wait to see what secrets will be revealed with Silver Spice!

Silver Silence is a one-click, must read for all Sci-Fi romance lovers out there.

Vallon n Elise

Elise is a human living among the Valosians but she has a disability, she's a mute.Vallon feels drawn to her, they develop a form of sign language using his spoken language to communicate with each other. It will be later taught to the other Valosians as they try to find a way to enter the domed city n attack the Gretolics who overtook it. It will be necessary because they need to shield their ears against the mind control used by the Gretolics. Because of their enhanced hearing ability they're susceptible to its power. That's how they overtook the domed city n pitted brother against brother
This story gives more dynamics about the Valose society, the insectoid Nuttaki, n introduces a new player as the Valosians find their world is gaining a bit of notoriety because of the actions of the Gretolics .

Finally!

I admire an author that has a person with a disability as a main character. This was an awesome and sensitive book about muteness. Elise could hear but had no voice. Vallon, her alien protector loved her with a fierceness that took my breath away. When she finally gave in to the pull of her mate I was elated. The world building is amazing. The characters are engaging and the secret weapon of sign language taught by Elise to the warriors was brilliant. I look forward to the actual battle to retake the city.

The story continues this time we get to see Elise and Vallon’s relationship. I was definitely excited to read this book. I was interested to learn more about Elise. I love how they created their own language to communicate with each other and how it became useful to all of the warriors. Vallon truly supported Elise and made sure that being mute didn’t affect what she could offer. This book definitely builds tension for what is to come and ends with a lot of action. I highly recommend you read this shorter fast paced book.

🤔

It was ok because I finished the book. Vallon, a warrior that will do anything for Elise who cannot voice her words, so her hands do all the talking. I could not wait to read Elise story, I felt she made an impact because of her sign language. I must’ve expected too much, because this read did not hit that spot, I didn’t expect Elise’s character to be insecure however she changes after she is mated. Another alien and his human mate gave the needed boost to the storyline. I still love the series and will read the next book.

The sixth book the action filled a sci-fi romance. This one brings us so much closer to understanding why the human women were taken. The story is told from the views of Elise and Vallon. Elise sees herself as not whole because she has no voice. But Vallon will do anything to prove to her how wonderful she is. The romance between them is sweet and finally brings them together. But new dangers have appeared and the new information they learn may help or destroy them.

I'm loving this series! We get closer to seeing how it will end with each book! I enjoyed Vallon and Elise's story! It was amazing how he made his own sign language for her to be able to communicate. I'm eager to see how it helps them defeat the enemy. Silver Silence is a steamy romance full of action and adventure! I can't wait for Silver Spice! Wynnter and Rose's story is going to be great!

Action packed

The Silver elves have enemies coming at the from everywhere. I loved it and was there for every minute of the action. There is also a new alien that has come into play. I hope to see more of his people too. The cliff hanger wasn't that bad this time. The author actually finished this couple now I'm off to another one.

Loved! Loved! Loved the plug for American Sign Language. Unlike our heroine, I am hearing impaired and use ASL to communicate sometimes. Great way to show that in this case, a handicap can be a learning experience with aliens and Love.

Good story, even though its not my favorite.

The storyline is getting very intense. There are more bad guys & the woman have threats all around them. I want more romance next time.
