An excellent field guide! The ID photos and illustrations are very specific and helpful plus the fun facts and emphasis on the heritage and Mi’kmaw cultural importance for these trees and shrubs were nice also!
OK GUYS. This is the best tree book. I've gotten my hands on a few books about trees and this is the first one where I easily identified every tree around me confidently, like the cool dude I am. It has photorealistic illustrations of the bark, leaf, needles and the shape of the crown. The icons are very helpful, and it explains what the tree looks like when young vs mature, the colour changes it goes through, any smell or taste and pictures of any nuts, acorns or cones they have. Excellent book for quickly identifying trees on the east coast!
