This is Book 1 of a three story box set (The Dublin Murders). I liked the mystery story very much. It is a complex story basically about a scam that involves identity theft, a lot of money, several men using a variety of names. I had to keep track of who was pretending to be who, but it illustrates how complex some scams are and how easily one can be fooled. It pays to be skeptical these days. There is a hint of romance, mostly in how the handsome detective, Mike West, was attracted to one of the victims of the scam. But that's all it involves, just his unacted-upon feelings. Poor guy, he needs a life outside of work. So I will soon be moving to Book 2,

New author for me and three very enjoyable reads, not quite five star but very much recommended. I thought the first book of this trilogy was a definite five star , quite how these authors think quite amazes me, an excellent storyline. I was also intrigued as to the setting of the third novel, the Clare Island Lighthouse. Yes, I was one of those readers that checked it out on google, amazing place for a holiday. All in all, three books worth a punt.

The Dublin murders

The underlying story is greatand the author didn't get all slushy over the sex bits. I configured the outcomes of the first two books but I did in the third guess that Eammon Hall was the perpetrator in the last, I didn't like him!!!

Got this on a whim and was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Read books one to three back to back. Monounsaturated to the forth installment!

A great trilogy of crime stories set in Dublin and Clare Island - characters that draw you in and interesting plots keep you guessing and hold the intrigue throughout (though the second book is more transparent than the others). I highly recommend this series and have reviewed separately elsewhere
(No spoilers)....
