Joseph Redhawk is nearing the end of his career as a Delta Operative. He's also in the darkest place a man like him can be. Senseless lives lost; acts against humanity; and a feeling of helplessness and hopelessness that won't seem to leave him. Who would have believed that the sweet, shy, little sister of Paige Anderson would be his savior. Julia was always a surprise for Joseph, but now a grown woman, she was sitting across from him looking unbelievably beautiful. And just like that, the cloud was lifted. It happened so fast, he couldn't catch his breath. But someone is trying to kill Joseph and Nathan. Julia seems to be the person who can truly help. The question is how?
Julia Anderson has always been able to talk to and see dead people. She's hidden her secret from everyone except a select few. Now, because she's professed her love for Joseph and vowed to save him, she must reveal it all. But when her amazing secret is revealed, so are the secrets and treasures of Belle Fleur that will help an entire new generation. All Julia cares about is loving Joseph. That, and getting the ghosts of Belle Fleur to behave.
Thank you for reading my bio and my books! I live and work in Dallas, TX. I'm the mother of two amazing daughters and two fantastic, intelligent grandsons, with one more on the way, and a wonderful son-in-law. I love to cook, travel, and write, but I'm also an avid reader. Being from a military family, my books often center around strong, military men but I also LOVE strong, independent, intelligent women. I was honestly a little apprehensive about the story after reading what it was about. I wondered how author would managed to mix the general sense of the books with a touch of supernatural. I needn't to have worried as the story reads beautifully with the normal superb cast of characters. Brilliant read
And it's Julia that just made it as the most interesting person in this clan with this book and that is saying something with all of the people we have to pick from. I also found it interesting that most of the RP clan had no idea that she could talk to ghosts, including her immediate family.
I think what made things interesting is her talking to important people to the RP clan, most especially all those that lived at the homestead, let alone those that they have lost along the way. The later, I feel like when they talked about it, seemed to finished healing any hurt left from when they died. I also found the "magic water" to be very interesting! I love it and wish I had some I could take a weekly dip in, if I'm being totally honest.
Julia was great with Joseph. From the start, she kinda led their relationship. I'm glad that she was brave enough to go after Joseph and share what she did with him and that they finally were on the same page.
The work the guys did was crazy, especially at the end with the President involved. It was interesting too, the role that Ryan played and the talks he had with Ben and the talks Ben and Paige had.

These two are another great couple together. I really enjoyed that Julia could see and hear what the deceased would say to her; especially Nathan Joseph's great grandfather. Oh and the healing pond was a great bonus, because I always wondered myself how Papa Mathew and Mama Irene always seemed to enjoy life so much without the creaky and stiff bones. Wow on the crazy toxin releases in the different countries and killing those innocent people. Totally disgusting and depraved folks. And no I don't believe the world is going to end anytime soon because of this crazy nonsense about climate changes because we will always have hurricanes, tornadoes and sadly burning forest fires because a lot of cities are too money hungry to actually do forest maintenance during the fall and winter months. Happy reading and looking forward to Ryan and Paige's story.
Don't know how I missed Joseph and Julia. Anyway ... their story is so touching and loving. Joseph accepting Julia ability to see the dead. Julia knowing he would be her one and only. What really stood out in this book for me beside Joseph and Julia story was how. Ms Kennedy brought real life issue into the story global warming and toxin. Has the reader I can imagine crazy people trying to pull shit like this yo prove their point. Also revealing the secrets of Belle Fleur . Excellent read
I chose this rating because this was actually a really great book. I really enjoyed most all of the characters. This was a book of trust, protection, determination, and compassion. I really enjoyed Joseph and Julia story. They made a very interesting couple. Julia she was very unique and Determine. I think they made a really great couple. Great read! I also think the author did an amazing job in putting this couple together. I recommend this book to all romance readers.
Another great book about second generation Reaper-Patriots. I love how the whole family is involved in everything and enjoyed the little touch of the supernatural elements in this book.
These incredible books by this author amaze me!She writes with such conviction and heartfelt feel goods😍 I'm so glad this village is huge,! so she can continue to write these incredible stories! Can't say enough!
This one is a departure from the usual stories in this series. This reader enjoyed it more because of this departure. Julia Anderson is the younger daughter of Dan "Wilson" Anderson and his beautiful wife Sara. Julia has waited for her chance with Joseph Redhawk, Trak's son, and she finally takes the leap. Joseph realizes that she is who he wants, and who he needs. Julia has a secret, though, and she is able to share it with her family. Joseph and Nathan have an enemy that is shooting their team members in the back because they saw something they shouldn't have. The whole team, with new members, has to pull together to solve this one, too.
