The war against the AIs is won but the fight for humanity has only just begun. With the xenophobic Clans rampaging though the Rebel Empire, Princess Kelsey Bandar must convince the skeptical resistance to help them to establish a base of operations to fight back.
To do that, Kelsey needs every ally she can get and a whole lot of luck. Instead she finds herself trapped in an alien universe while her mother tries to save the day.
As her friends struggle to accomplish the work without her, she has to decipher the alien place holding her. Even if she does get free, can she turn the situation around in her own universe before everything comes apart in their faces?
#1 Bestselling Military Science Fiction author Terry Mixon served as a non-commissioned officer in the United States Army 101st Airborne Division. He later worked alongside the flight controllers in the Mission Control Center at the NASA Johnson Space Center supporting the Space Shuttle, the International Space Station, and other human spaceflight projects.
He now writes full time while living in Texas with his lovely wife and a pounce of cats.
Terry has picked up the story after the defeat of the AI, but there is still the issue of getting the message across to the systems that are now free from it control. Kelsey is now heavy pregnant, and cannot make the trip back home until her child is born. Her mother Justine is acting as ambassador for the Empire dealing with the systems that discovered the AI has gone, but it not going to eat. The Marine will still have to go out and sort out issue's, but Kelsey is not happy that she is not allowed to get into the fight. I love this series of books.
I have the pleasure of being one of Terry’s advanced readers, and was given a copy for a true and honest review.
I have the pleasure of being part of Terry’s advanced reader group so I have had the book for awhile. This is a very good story to read in its self it can stand alone by its self, however reading it along with the previous books in the series is so much better. This book through some left curves and included some story lines I was no expecting however still a great book to read. Now the only bad part of the book is now I have to wait for the next book in the series, when is Kelsey and Talbots kid going to arrive. And will they ever make it home. Will Jared and Elise ever get back to their kids and make it home also, the story threads are endless. Hurry up and write the next book Terry.

Terry Mixon has outdone himself in this latest instalment of the Empire of Bones saga!
Oh boy, Crown Princess Kelsey is pregnant an definitely hates being coddled and being told she can't be in the front line anymore. Crown Princess Elise keeps finding new ways to improve her skills, much to her dismay. Will they find a way to align with a former Rebel Empire or will there be another diplomacy meltdown due to deep hatred that was grown from history?
If you like parallel universes , this is a book to read!
Ok... Who really wrote this book? The depth of the story and characters, even the sentence structure is so different from other books in the series, that I had to wonder. Read this one and then go back and read the first in the series. Very different voice. Even the difference between #13 and #14 is very noticeable. Characterization is superficial, where before it had depth.... There's a trick in this one that feels lazy.
It's worth reading, but it's not on the same level as the others.
More adventures with Kelsey Bandar. The ending was worth it despite a slow start. This novel included lots of my favorite elements from throughout the Empire of Bones series including some new technology, space warfare, and another brief look into the Rebel Empire. Terry did a great job developing some of my favorite rebel-turned-ally characters. I'll be watching closely for the next installment.
Terry Mixon has once again created more drama and intrigue in what has become my favorite space opera. The trouble that Kelsey, Elise, Justine and others get themselves into and then out of again and again makes for wonderful reading. Of course now I cannot wait for book 15!!!
If you get the reference, you have an understanding of the series. People touching or doing something they should not, saying "oops" and everything going sideways. Entertaining to read, but any adult supervision would be going nuts. In a way, it would be interesting to view 100 alternate realities, and I would bet 95 would have bad endings.
I came to know the characters and I really think I will miss them. Terry please continue this series or link a new set of books with Kelsey and the others . If you do I will read them all. Thank you for hours of late night fun reading this story. Sky
If this were a tv series I would be a binge watcher, such a great diverse cast of characters and the storytelling is so engrossing. In this genre it has to be my favorite and I wait expectantly for more chapters.
As usual, Terry Mixon does not disappoint. This novel was as exciting as anything else he has written. This book has it all: space opera, battle scenes, incredible imagination, and whatever else you are looking for in military science fiction.
A fascinating series of books would like to the series continue. Character development grabbed you from the very beginning and I would like to see it continue on.
It's the end of the series but not the end of the story. I read each and every one but was disappointed that when it didn't reach a conclusion. I've written to the author via his website. He replied that the conclusion will come when the artwork is done. I hope so.
I really love this series and thoroughly enjoyed this latest installment! Terry is a gifted author, with a knack for creating magical worlds in his books. I highly recommend checking it out!
As with the other books in this series I love the story, but hate the dialogue it is truly juvenile and horrible. This series should be classified as YA.
