Lost Undead by L.C. Mortimer
I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
STAHP!! Run and buy this awesome book if you are a zombie fan. But actually wait, buy book 1 and then grab book 2. Be ready to pre-order book 3 thought because this book leaves you wanting more!!!
The last book ended with Winter, Isaiah, and Greta landing on an island and praying it was safe. This story picks up right where the last book ended. Our survivors are checking out the island when more survivors show up. To say things aren’t peachy is an understatement.
Dude! Greta is a bad ass chick who people don’t even give enough credit too. Winter is becoming quite a warrior as well. Isaiah is another awesome member to the rag tag team. They stick together and help each other when the other survivors start to make things difficult for trio.
To say this book is action packed is an understatement. To say this book will keep it interesting is also an understatement. I seriously cannot wait for more from the series. The characters are growing more and more to be a family not just out of convenience but of actual compassion for each member.

I LOVE GRETA!! She is the perfect grandma and so many people underestimate her. The trio have finally decided that they need to get off this island, but they did not expect what happened next. Another lifeboat with survivors lands on their tiny island, which puts a kink in their plan. Something just isn’t right. Greta, Winter, and Isaiah all have a bad feeling. Next thing you know chaos erupts and they are scrambling to survive once again. Nothing can stay chaotic forever…everything will look better in the morning. Riiiight. Oh I want talk about what happened and about the really bad things and the badassery that Greta is….ooooohhhhhh how I want to tell you all about it, but I can’t! I refuse to give it all away. What I am saying is that there is so much going on in this story, I literally read it in one sitting, I was consumed by it! I am on pins and needles waiting to read the 3rd installment. I need to know what happens next!

This book was better than the first one and that one was very good!

This time the cruise boat survivors have found and empty island. Except for a wish to go home and nothing whatsoever on the island, the heroes (Winter, Greta, and Isiah) are glad to be back on land instead of in a lifeboat.

However, when other survivors show up things go from ok to worse to terrible. And at the end of the book, they are setting out to sea again in a lifeboat.

I didn't say much about the story itself because if I had there would be spoilers galore!

The plot was excellent and the character development is even better than in the first book. I could imagine a zombie apoloclypse happening the way the author wrote these first 2 books in the series.

This series is written in an episodic manner. Each is a novella of approximately 100+ pages.

Not as slow moving as the 1st, but still a lot of character introspection. Too much - again.

It's written in multiple POV, by chapter. Which I enjoy.

Still annoying because ALL of the characters suffer from low self-esteem. The 20 somethings are whiny and constantly seek the 70 somethings advice. They'd die on their own without Greta.

The author still seems to have an issue with age because it's mentioned every other page throughout the series. There are 3 main characters in this book, but a 4th is added.

Really???

I paid for this #$@%, I can't believe I did, I mean don't get me wrong it was interesting but ... you blink and that's it the book is finished so now your left waiting, wondering about the next book and knowing although you're dying to know what happens next etc you also know there ain't no way you're going to pay for the next book not unless it's like 1 GBS then I'd consider it or even if it was more pages to read but if it's like this book, then you can go swing off a flying monkeys dangle bits .

I'm laughing and not in a good way

The first book was boring, but inoffensive. The mention of my favorite video game (7 Days to Die) gave me high hopes.

I'm not sure how nothing and everything happens all at the same time on the pages in the second book. It's been a handful of days and there is already a cartoonishly grotesque raider on the open seas. Everyone except for the main three make mind bogglingly bad decisions. None of the characters other than Greta are very compelling either.

Great Read

Love the storyline of 3 passengers escaping from a cruise ship full of infection and zombies. My favorite character is Greta. Like Greta I too am an older woman who is often overlooked and deemed not able to help. Loved the author writing about how our minds still feel 20 and the irritation of being underestimated because people see you older. Winter and Isiah are good characters and are becoming more sure of their abilities. Read this series as the group is now headed for America and hoping to survive the apocalypse as a team.

Greta, Winter, and Isaiah have finally made it to an island and now things are all set and safe. Of course not. Trouble shows up with other survives and now problems and trouble are an issue they must face. A quick fun read that I was glued to the end to see if these three would survive to the end, would zombies show up, and what else would they need to survive. Fun and entertaining read with a zombie twist unlike other zombie books.

just ok but the second book is better than the first!

A few grammar errors.. I think they even called Greta’s husband by 2 different names in the first book! The story is ok! It’s probably like what survivors would actually be like. The characters are clumsy and kind of boring. The story line is better in this book than the first book. Now that I’m invested in the story I need to read the next book.

This book follows the POV of 3 survivors as they battle to stay alive against zombies, other humans, and the elements. At first I had trouble getting into it, but I'm glad I continued reading as it ended up being very enjoyable.

A very good read - great character development

A very good read - great character development. The story was a bit limited, but the reader will still read the end, because when rotting for the protagonists, you have to sed how it ends.

book 2 didn’t disappoint

The first book really reeled me in and the second in the series didn’t disappoint. I’m excited to see what happens next and am rooting for our unlikely group of survivors.

Good book

Entertaining book. Great characters. The usual zombie plot with the usual bad humans versus the nice guys. Looking forward to the next edition.

Who knew how so much can happen on an island during an apocalypse? More zombies, survivors are met, and the future is still unknown. Cannot wait to read the next book to see what happens next!
