Elisabeth Garner does it again.
After the roller coaster which was the first book (Even Angels Fall), she did not disappoint in the next book in this series. Even Hearts Struggle picks right back up where Even Angels Fall. Let's just admit she left us dangling on a major cliffhanger.
Christopher and Evie are just too cute for this world, and the hilarity that is Bernie and Charlie's relationship will just warm your heart. I also kind of love Charlie's protectiveness over her chosen family. And the surprise she pulls off in this book *chef's kiss*.
Without going into a spoiler, the growth that another character takes throughout Even Hearts Struggle, was so well done, that I have laid claim to them. Elisabeth Garner's character development is so well done, that you don't even realize you have latched onto them, until it's too late.
You will want to throw your kindle/book, you will cry, you will laugh, and you will smile all the way through this book. Trust me though when I say that going through this roller coaster and watching the growth of the expansive cast, is totally worth it.

This was everything I was waiting for as a sequel. I fell even more in love with each character. These characters relationships with each other from romantic to platonic are all so beautiful. This book is full of drama that hooked you in and had you wanting to know the outcomes of each problem that came up. I loved the growth and healing that took place as well. I'm so excited to know how it all ends in the last book in this series.

Even Hearts Struggle is the sequel to Even Angels Fall, which ended on such a big cliff hanger. This book picks right up and will hit you square in the chest. It made me cry, and hold my breath and laugh out loud. This book isn’t just a romance, it’s also about friendship, and trust and recovery.

This book has everything I wanted in a sequel!!! The relationships in this series are so real and raw it’s like your there watching it play out! I will say again I wish Bernie was my best friend and I need Charlie in my life! I’m dying for book 3 already!!

Everything I wanted to see in a sequel after the first book(Even Angels Fall) left me picking my heart up off the ground after it had been ripped out of my chest by Elisabeth Garner. Even Hearts Struggle is a wonderfully written continuation of the love story that was started in Even Angels Fall. Picking up right after Evie's accident that left us all reeling we get to follow her recovery and the growth in relationship with Christopher. Through in both of their ex's and a wedding we get one great story and spoiler a very happy ending this time.

Good read
This is a story that sucked me in and held me captive. It had me swooning, laughing and crying. I definitely recommend this book. It needs some editing and spell-checking but I still loved the story and can’t wait to read the next one.

THE TWISTS AND TURNS! this book takes you on an emotional roller-coaster and your heart better be strapped in. I can't even write everything I want to without ruining it for anyone else because it is an experience, and it would be a sin to spoil it.
Evie has life figured out for the most part. She's been through some hairy parts, some really devastating and a more than a few disasters but she comes through with the help of her best friend forever (really if you looked that up in the dictionary, there would a picture of evie and bernie.)
Bernie's amazing and overwhelmingly perfect datemate Charlie, and where would Evie be without her night in shining armor Christopher?
This latest installment of their lives starts with a bang and just keeps rolling you won't be able to put it down.
Do you love romance? Do you love drama? Believable characters? Almost too realistic scenes that can make you gasp, cry or cheerios? This book is for you.

I generously recieved this book as an ARC. All opinions are my own.
This book is the second in what I understand will be a trilogy! Evie and Christophers relationship is so freakin sweet. I loved watching them grow and change as individuals and as a couple. I am so whole heartedly rooting for them. If I say anything I will say this. E.G. is quite amazing in the way that she displays difficult growth. What do I mean by that? Well, we, or in this case Evie, has to screw up, listen to emotions instead of her head in order to learn a lesson. If that's not life then I don't know what is. A fun read!

ARC review! I still struggle with her writing style but this book was much better than her 1st on all counts. The POV switches weren't as jarring and gave away less of the future plot than the first book. The beginning of the book dragged a bit, but it definitely picked up at the end.

I had to take a day after finishing this book before I wrote a review. This book is so good! I read 2/3 of it in a day because I couldn’t put it down. The story is great, but it’s the characters that really sucked me into not just this book but the prequel, Even Angels Fall. They are so well written, relatable, and entertaining. I love this cast.
The book does such an amazing job dealing with toxic vs healthy relationships, friendship, found family, trust, and healing.
I have absolutely fallen in love with this series and can’t wait for book #3. HIGHLEY recommend!!

My favorite part about Em Garner's writing is that she writes life. She draws you in with her characters in a way that you don't feel you are seeing the story through their eyes. You feel like you are another friend in the room. That you belong in their little chosen family. She writes the good, the bad, the happy and the sad. She writes the messy and the silly. The only comparison I can think of is the show "A Million Little Things", you are following along with these friends through life. You aren't entirely sure where you are going to end up, or how things are going to work out. But you know that it is going to be beautiful no matter what.
