Their purpose is not their own. Humanity belonged to the governors first. And the governors always have other man-made plans.
After their violent separation, Amelia and Dallas must learn how to navigate their newfound humanity without their partner whom they both believe has been left behind in Michigan. As Amelia begins reconditioning at PictureHouse, an exclusive Beau Monde treatment center in California, she must cooperate under her new Humanoid, Cyrus. Meanwhile, Dallas adjusts to his new life in confinement, awaiting his day of execution. Their paths are separate, but will they manage to find their way without the other?
PictureHouse is the second novel in the Gemini Letters trilogy.

PictureHouse is the second book in The Gemini Letters trilogy by new author, Madison Klophaus. Told in dual perspectives, this is the continuation of Amelia Vanderbilt and Dallas Summers' story. I didn't think it was possible to top the first novel in this trilogy, but this one certainly did just that. From start to finish, I was completely and utterly hooked by this book.
This author has such a way with words. The description in this book is so vivid and so good that it really brings this story to life. She can weave a story that not only captures your attention, but drags you under the surface until you can't help but to live and breathe inside this world.
All in all, this story is unique, captivating and completely mesmerizing. I enjoyed seeing some of the familiar faces as well as meeting the new. I loved being back in this world. The world building, the characters, and the engrossing story-line, were all perfectly done and kept me fascinated all throughout. If you're like me, and this is not something that you would normally read, please take a chance on it. I can promise you that you will not be disappointed.
Five stars for Amelia, Dallas and PictureHouse ! I can't wait to see how their story ends!
4.3 stars!! The second book in The Gemini Letters trilogy did not disappoint, and I personally think that this one was better than the first! Klophaus’ writing style only improves PictureHouse and she kept me hooked with adding in some mystery in regard to this world and what {we think} we know about these characters. I’m looking forward to getting all my questions answered in the upcoming final novel in the trilogy! There are some loose ends and character motives I’m curious about.
Adding new and pivotal characters (shoutout to my new favorites, Cyrus and Drix!!) and bringing back some familiar faces I didn’t expect, Klophaus did an excellent job of deepening the relationships and character connections that drive the story.
Sometimes books with alternating chapter viewpoints have a more compelling story to follow, but I didn’t find that with PictureHouse. At first, I did initially skip over one or two of Dallas’ chapters (to come back to) in order to follow Amelia’s story but that didn’t last long; I was drawn into Dallas’ perspective very quickly.
The prose and descriptions in the novel are quote-book worthy, and the author has a way of poetically describing quite the range of emotions.
I’m looking forward to seeing Klophaus continue to solidify and showcase her writing and share what happens to these characters who have become friends of mine!
PictureHouse was my most anticipated book of the year and I'm beyond excited that it's finally here!
I haven't finished the book yet but I couldn't wait to share how much I've been enjoying it. As I jump back into this enthralling story I find myself falling in love with the characters all over again-- although, I will say a new face is rapidly capturing my heart! I can't wait to keep reading and exploring more of Amelia and Dallas' journey in the second installment of The Gemini Letters.
I was eating up the tension in this book. Amelia and Dallas and Cyrus gripped me away from my work day at times 😬 and the ending is killing meeeee! So happy I got the third one early so I can go directly into MORE GRIPPING TENSION after this ending, sheesh!
I was talking to my husband (who is not a fiction book guy) about this book after finishing it and he said, “Dang. Why don’t more people know about this series?”what a great frikn question!
I loved this book. Even more than the first one, and I’m ready for some answers to my MANY questions I was left with at the end of Picturehouse!
Picturehouse, the second book in the trilogy authored by Madison Klophaus did not disappoint! Klophaus’s development of the previous characters, storyline and the introduction of new characters kept the story of Dallas and Amelia interesting and thought-provoking. Can’t wait until the final book 3 is released!
