Blurb: Olivia had spent enough time on memories of her ex-boyfriend’s abuse. She was going to put all of her efforts into her new business career. And try to convince her boss, Vice President Michael Evans, that the woman he’d been dating was nothing more than an opportunist and that she’d climb into bed with anyone that could get her to the top. Michael, who lost his younger sister to an abusive relationship, was falling in love with Olivia. He kept his distance from her and waited patiently for a sign that she was ready for his love. Michael is the sixth and last novel in the Risking Love series.
I have enjoyed every book in the Risking Love series, and was really looking forward to this one. Olivia is the last of the girls to get her man, and I wanted to see her finally find happiness. I wasn’t disappointed. What a finale! I think this is my favourite book in the series. Olivia is a heroine you immediately root for, brave, vulnerable, loving, and full of personality. I liked the fact that she is successful in her career and also has hobbies and interests of her own. She doesn’t spend her life waiting for a man to rescue her. Michael is a great hero, mature, protective and passionate. The story contains plenty of twists and turns and has not one, but two great villains. The dramatic ending will leave you breathless and very satisfied. I can’t wait to see what Callie Carmen writes next.
So sad! The final installment in the Risking Love series
For quite a while Olivia has been in love with her boss, Michael. However, Michael appears to be with the Dragon Lady, Veronica. Olivia knows that Michael and Veronica date and it’s obvious that the woman is a raving beauty. Why wouldn’t Michael be in love with her? Yeah, Michael is exceptionally nice to Liv. He’s easy to talk to and has helped her with personal problems as well as encouraged her career advancement, but Liv really thinks he’s the one who will get away. But… Will he?
Michael is a great final book for the Risking Love series! Both leading characters are sympathetic and worth rooting for and Ms. Carmen builds a first rate bit of suspense in the story with Olivia’s former boyfriend. The whole series is definitely worth reading. It’s nice to read the books in sequence, but since each is a standalone, pick them up in any order. The overlapping characters are explained well. Recommended!
I'm so sad the series has ended. Or Is it? I feel there is more coming. I'm happy that Olivia got closure from her abuser. Michael and Olivia, we're meant to be. Anyone that is looking for a new series please look up Callie Carmen. You are going to fall in love with these characters. Well done Callie. Can't wait to see what is next.
