Javier has been waiting hundreds of years for his mate, but now that he finally found him, his mate was not what he was expecting.
Every young wolf pictures their fated mate to be their perfect match. But how can Javier have finally found his mate only to discover his mate is a broken wolf, so beyond ruined by a group of hunters he may not ever shift back to human again. And not only that, the little wolf has a cub. The books always said only fated mates could produce offspring. Is it possible to have two fated mates in one lifetime?
Javier, as second in command only to the heir to the throne of the werewolves. He has had decades of practice playing politics and managing pack business, but pulling a scared, and fiercely protective mate back from the brink might be more than he bargained for.
If one thing is certain, he won't let this opportunity pass him by. His fated mate is right in front of him, if only he can reach him, maybe he can have the life he always dreamed of. And the family he has longed for.
But his little wolf isn't going to make it easy.
Nothing good has ever come easy, but hopefully the good will come to Javier after all. And maybe a little will rub off on the wolf who has been through hell and back.
Jude was abused and sold to hunters where he was starved almost to death. But he was rescued, along with his pup, and Charlie, the Alpha Mate, has been caring for him and earning his trust. His Fated mate is Javier, but Jude’s wolf won’t let anyone but Charlie come near. Then the slow trust building between Jude and Javier began, as Javier went out and hunted fresh game for his mate who wouldn’t let him anywhere near him.
After a long time, Jude finally began to trust enough to shift to human and to accept Javier moving closer. Jude sought his protection, while still keeping him back, but they were making progress. Then Jude’s biggest nightmare came back to kidnap him and take him back to the hated pack that had sold him. The baby’s father had no feelings for anyone and was abusive to Jude. So Jude hid the baby in the closet and told Kevin the baby had died. That made no difference to Kevin who said they would make more. Then he kidnapped Jude and took him away. Would Javier and the pack find Jude in time to save him from what was coming? In his already weakened condition, he couldn’t even shift to fight. And he was traumatized by Kevin and couldn’t stand up to him. Now it was a race against time – but first they had to find out where he was taken!
This was an awesome story that took the reader through Jude’s horrible trauma and allowed us to share in his slow healing. Javier’s love for him was beautiful, and he was so patient and kind in bringing back Jude’s trust. The kidnapping is a major setback. But can they get to Jude in time to save his life? Could Javier let Kevin steal the mate he had longed for, his new family? Or would nothing stop him from claiming the mate he loved?
This one was the one I disliked the most out of all in the series.
Jude isn’t even likable, like AT ALL. I couldn’t understand his skittish ways or the way he growled at everyone. And yet, everyone is a-ok with his growling and possessive ways. Even when he’s rude and unreasonable. The rest of the pack is constantly apologizing to Jude and talking about some sort of “bond” between parent and child. Which is fine, there is a bond that happens between parent and child. What I didn’t like was that it was said that the bond between parent and child is even stronger than the bond between mates. Ummm…am I the only one confused by that? Children grow up and LEAVE. Yet your mate is the one to stay FOREVER with you. That should be the strongest bond.
I was annoyed with Jude and wished caring, strong Javier had a better mate.
Of course there were editing issues and severe story underdevelopment here.
I really enjoyed this book. I haven't read the previous books in this series, so when I began, if felt like some action just took place (I'm assuming from the previous book) that made me want to read it. But other than that and interactions with some other pack members, this read fine as a standalone. Jude was abused and sold to hunters, but has been rescued, along with his pup. He suffers from the trauma and fear from his experiences and needs patience and kindness to heal and begin to trust. Javier is an alpha and discovers Jude is his mate, and is very patient and gentle in trying to get Jude to slowly relax around him. I won't say more of the storyline so as not to give anything away. It was sweet to see Javier and Jude grow closer. This book also has action and I couldn't put it down. Great world building. I recommend it. 5 stars.
At last, mate found! Jude was so traumatized by his abuse, he stayed wolf as security and protection. He knew he would have to shift so his baby would be able to shift to human until he his puberty. His greatest fear was that his baby would look like his rapist Dad and even worse, share his evil. Charlie, Alpha mate was everything Jude needed as a balm to his soul. Javier, recognized his mate in Jude. He loved him from first sighting, but knew he needed patience and care to heal. He had waited centuries to find his mate. He was ready to settle down. Can Javier wait? Will he force the claiming he's been waiting for? Can he accept a baby from another Alpha? Will Alpha Dad let the baby go? Can Jude recover? Good story. Exciting, sweet, scary and amusingly romantic. Nicely done! I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Who says that love or creating family will necessarily come easily? In this case Javier and Jude have challenges facing them as they find one another. Javier will have to be patient to coax Jude into trusting him and what they can have if he can move forward past the difficulties of his past. Jude will need to find the strength within to not only protect his pup but to heal enough to move forward into a relationship with his fated mate. It was cool that the fact that this is a fated mate made it worth working harder to work on getting to where they needed to be. Not just for the couple but for their helpers and supporters as well.

Jude talked Charlie into going to the warehouse where the Hunters kept them to get his pup. Charlie kept Jude calm and helped with the pup, Javier let them that way as Jude was having trust issues. The baby knew that they belonged together and slowly but surely Jude learned too especially after the pack came and rescued him again. Everything got resolved and they had become a family. Great book and new author will read more of their books!
This is one of the best mpreg, wolf shifters series I've read - if not the best. I love how each pack member get their own story and become the protagonist or the main character and find their fated mate. And I absolutely love how every pack member has scenes and are not forgotten like many other series with changing protagonists.

Several centuries are a long time to wait for a mate. What happens when it's not who you expected?
Jude was an abused wolf. Rescued by his mate, Javier, he and his pup had to learn to trust. Jude was the most damaged and didn't want anyone near him - including his mate. Love, comfort and patience, paid off.
Well-written, tugs at your heart strings. An uncertain journey, worth it's destination.

This was worth the wait from the last book...I was happy Javier found his mate. He was a fierce protector of Jude. After all that mess Jude was put through, it took a lot for him to feel protected and Javier gave him that sense of home. I enjoyed this lovely journey...a little violence was thrown in but it was oh so worth it for the outcome we got at the end.

This was a very interesting and good read, however, I truly dislike when an abused, frail, character again becomes a kidnapped, abused character (too difficult for me to read). The plot was compelling but I really wanted there to be more private bonding time between Javier and Jude. The characters in this story were strong and supportive and there were many moments that had warmed my heart. The ending was beautiful.
Sooo good!! Jude had been waiting for centuries for his mate only to find him broken. Javier had been beaten and terrorized. It takes all of Jude's patience to win him over. This was sooo freakin good, loved it! definitely recommend.

I love fated mates stories and Javier and Jude have a challenging set of circumstances that they are able to overcome. I really appreciate Javier's patience and Jude's strength. Both men are warriors and survivors. This is an enjoyable read and I can't wait for the next blue moon pack book.
I enjoyed the story. I haven't lost interest as the series shifted from couple to couple. The only reason I gave it only 3 stars is the number of mistakes. Words left out, incorrect usage, etc... It needs to be re-edited. I think maybe it was rushed.
Uhg, what can I say I was struggling to find something to read. I wouldn't recommend these. I've read three and they just never hit a point of true depth or interest. They are better than some books but if I could give a 2.5 I would.
I really enjoyed this book. Javier knows he and Jude are mates and he has to be patient with him. Jude has been abused by his pack and must learn to trust again but with Javier he feels protected.
This is a really good hurt/comfort story with an abused mate with a tiny wolf cub who finally finds safety and comfort with his fated mate. Love this pack.
One has never known kindness, one has waited hundreds of years for his mate. Will he be able to wait for his mate to be ready? Will he be able to prove that not all wolves are abusive?
I definitely loved these two! I loved seeing Charlie come out of his shell and become stronger. Have to say Javier showed the patience of a saint and I loved how protective he was over his mate and child. Great read!

I’ve been eagerly looking forward to Javier’s story and it didn’t disappoint.
Javier found his mate but it’s wasn’t all sunshine and roses. Jude’s road to recovery was a long one but Javier was nothing but patient. Javier had to earn Jude’s trust but once Jude’s barriers came down, their bond slowly blossomed.
Fantastic book - my favourite so far!
